Chapter 11 Change Shawn For Ivan

Alice was a beautiful young girl, and Ivan was a handsome young gentleman.If Alice and Ivan worked together in the future and had more time to stay together, it was hard to say if Ivan would fall in love with Alice. Moreover, if Alice played some tricks and seduced Ivan, Ivan would possibly fall in love with Alice.

This was not good for Shawn and Alan. The cooperation with The Renaissance was of great importance to The Whites.

If The Renaissance and The White Group could work together successfully, The Whites would become one of the top families in Kent.

Then, whoever was involved in the cooperation would be given special treats and be more influential in The Whites Group. After all, Alice was Ivan's wife, and she would probably take advantage of Ivan and make money. If that came true, all the properties of The Whites family would be taken over by her.

"I've done some investigation."

"Alice stays single all these years, and she has never tried to get close to Ivan, let alone work together."

Seeing that Flora was a little shaken, Shawn added.

Hearing his word, Flora sneered.

"It really surprises me! Alice actually went to the negotiation with Ivan."

"How bold Alice is! She dares dream of taking over the property of The Whites family."

"Don't even think of it! I'll call Ivan and tell him that you will take over the cooperation with The Renaissance."

Seeing that he convinced Flora, Shawn was wild with joy.But he didn't dare express his joy before Flora.

Then, Shawn cleared his throat, held back his joy, and pretended to be straightforward.He said, "That's good, Grandma. I don't mean to take the work from Ivan.I do it for the sake of The Whites and our future."

Flora had been in charge of The Whites for many years.She had also been in business for a long time.Flora was shrewd and experienced.She saw Shawn through immediately.

"Come on. Stop pretending and just be who you are before me."

"I know what you are thinking about. Don't pretend to be selfless and heroic."

"I know who you are. I feel disgusted to hear such posh words."

Seeing Shawn's act, Flora couldn't help but scold him.

Hearing this, Shawn nodded at once and said, "I know, Grandma. Don't worry. I'll try my best to do my job and fulfill your expectations."

Ivan would have a talk with Samuel about the cooperation tomorrow. He was sorting out the information he needed when Flora called him.

Knowing Flora's purpose, Ivan felt as if someone threw cold water on him.It didn't take Ivan much effort to sign the contract with The Renaissance.But it was Ivan who negotiated on behalf of The Whites Group.Why did Flora ask Shawn to take it over so suddenly?

"But Grandma, I..."

"Stop it."

"I've made my decision."

"You still have another big case to cooperate with the government. It is important to The Whites, too."

"You can't be distracted. Just take these days off and enjoy a holiday. You can go back to work after you are rested and refreshed."

Ivan flew into a rage after hearing Flora's word. He soon recognized that it was Shawn. He must have done something.

The phone rang again before Ivan could calm himself down. It was Shawn.Shawn said with a triumphant voice when Ivan answered the phone.

"What if you sign the contract with The Renaissance? It is me who takes over the cooperation. I will take your place one day, and it won't be long."

"Only animals steal things from others. How incapable you are! What else can you do?"

Ivan didn't become angry. Instead, he sneered at Shawn with a pun.

"You! What else can you do except have a sharp tongue? Grandma asks me to take charge of the project. What can you do to this? Nothing! Don't be too proud! I ..."

Ivan hung up the phone before Shawn could finish his word.

Ivan didn't want to waste time quarreling with Shawn.Although Ivan was calm on the phone and pretended not to take this to his heart, he knew that he was terribly angry.

Ivan was aware that nobody could ask Flora to change her mind once she was determined. Shawn provoked him on purpose. And he could do nothing but bear Shaw's provocation.

Ivan threw all the things on his desk to the ground out of anger.

There was a loud noise. John and Clara lived in the room not far, and the noise attracted them. They ran to the study.

"What's wrong, Ivan?" Clara saw the mess in the study. She was anxious.

"What happened?" John asked. He was worried.

Ivan was overwhelmed by anger just now and wanted to pour his feelings out. This was the situation, and he could do nothing but accept it.

"Nothing. Just a slip of the hand."

"Why do you become annoyed for no reason? You just signed a contract with The Renaissance on behalf of The Whites Group. You have a promising future. What are you annoyed about?" John asked.

"Grandma just called me. She told me that Shawn would take over the project about the cooperation with The Renaissance." Ivan said in a low and gloomy voice.

"What? Why?" John was surprised to hear this.
