CHAPTER 2:Comeback

"What!" Natalie exclaimed in shock. Who on earth proposes to a girl they just met,a normal human wouldn't. Well I guess they haven't met Ricardo.

"I mean,you want revenge right and who do you trust enough to keep you safe."

"And you think I trust you?" Nat couldn't help but ask..

"Well you can always learn to trust me. What do I have to hide"

Silence descended on them only the drops of rain on the roof and birds chirping sound were heard, Natalie was lost in thoughts. Ricardo is right,there was no one she trusts or trusted enough to keep her safe.

"I'll just leave you to think about-"

"I agree" Natalie cut him off.

"Let's get married, tomorrow we'll head to civil affairs and get our marriage license but I have rules." Nat continued

Ricardo nodded slowly. When he didn't respond she continued.

"You shouldn't reveal our relationship for the next 6 months,on no account should you interfere in my career." Natalie knew who Ricardo Rodriguez is that's why she added the last request,just a call from him will make people do his will.

Ricardo smirked when he heard her last request. Natalie rubbed her palms together to keep out the cold,Ric sees this and removes his jacket and uses it to cover her.

"Head inside Ali you don't want to get sick,do you?"

Nat let out a smile and proceeds to go in.

Ric tucked his hands in his pants and turned only for him to almost collide with his assistant

"President, elder Rodriguez called"

Ric frowned and spoke in an extremely cold voice "if you picked up you know you'll be dead in 30secs."

Stevens shivered in fear, believe me the fear of Ricardo is the beginning of wisdom.

"I-I didn't si-r" Stevens stuttered and Ric nodded

"Phone all the modelling agency you know by tomorrow morning,send them my regards. When they respond I'll tell you the next step to take"

Stevens nodded and proceeded to open the car door.

Still clad in her nighties,Nat walked around her living room a cup of coffee on her hands. Ruffling her hair in frustration,she places the cup on the table and picks her phone and dials her manager number

"Here goes nothing."She mutters before hitting the call button.

"What!" Jean answers with anger laced voice.

"I'm sorry Jean,can we meet I want to make a comeback." There was no response at the other end Natalie sighed sadly and proceeded to end the call.

Natalie sat down with a thud. Jean has every right to be furious at her, starting from the time she[Natalie] quit to the time she openly slapped her in public.

Nat sighed again for the tenth time,just as she stood up to go get dressed someone badged in.

"Shouldn't you have been dressed?"

It was Jean!

Nat smiled and practically jumped on her in excitement.

"Oh! Hey take it easy will you"

Nat unhooked her hands on Jean "I thought you were not gonna show,what made you change your mind."

Jean sat down and stared at Nat "I will always show up as far as my best friend needs me"

Nat sat down beside Jean and side hugged her "am sorry,I didn't want to believe Leo and everyone else will do that to me."

"Hey baby girl,it's fine. But I hope you gave him a beating when you found out?" Jean asked. If there's anything she loved is a good show.

"Well not yet,I want you present"

"Now go get dressed,you have busy day ahead. And I need snacks ASAP"

Nat stared curiously at her.

"I'm perceiving a lot of questions,well two days ago I had this feeling you would come back so I started making appointments for you."

Nat smiled and headed upstairs "your snacks are still where it used to be"

"Awesome!" Jean jumped in excitement and ran to the kitchen.

Natalie headed downstairs "yeah I'll drop by later" she said and ended the call. Natalie paused mid-way her gaze on Jean who was munching on a bag of chips.

Jean has been the only friend she's had that didn't find a way to extort money from her. Nat still felt guilty for what she did to Jean in the past but there was no going back,just moving forward and having her revenge on anyone who had hurt her one way on the other.

"Are you gonna continue staring at me or you're going to go for your shoot." Jean said not raising her head up.

"Wait! You already secured one for me?" Nat asked excitement written clearly on her face.

"I don't know but I think someone already did the convincing,I only did the accepting."

Natalie shakes her head slowly, Ricardo didn't know how to rest.

Jean and Natalie were still on their way to the new agency,when a news leaked with different headlines.

[Outdated model wants to make a comeback],[Dead fish about to rise]

These were most of the comments netizens dropped. Of course Jean and Natalie wasn't aware of this as a result they didn't know that a certain someone was determined to make things difficult for them.

Stevens walked hastily into the room like office. The boss laid back on the chair rubbing his forehead slowly.

"Boss!" Stevens call startling him.

"What!" Ric asked with anger as he stared at Steve

"Madam is likely to have a lot of trouble. Her shoot us likely to be intercepted by reporters and netizens."

"I don't have to tell you what to do Steve,send some bodyguards and if any one dared to harm her take note of their names they shouldn't hurt my princess..."
