Chapter 2
The vase was thrown across the room. All the staff flinches, trembling in fear. Their boss's presence is enough to intimidate them.
“I ask you again...” Damian takes a deep breath and lets it out. “Who the fuck that dare to mess with my money?”
No one answered.
“SPEAK!!” he slams his hands on the desk.
“M—M—Mr. Ludwig, sir!” one staff speaks with a trembling voice.
“Ludwig?” Damian repeats the name.
He nods. “Y---Yes, sir. We saw it on the CCTV. There’s evidence that he brings that money to the bank too...”
Damian clenched her jaw, staring at them with dripping venom. None of them dared to lift their gazes as if, they could die by just looking in the eyes with him.
“Who is the smart ass here to let the new worker handle the money?” he questioned.
The staff exchange looks quietly as if they communicating through minds. Seeing them wouldn’t tell him, he lets out a low chuckle. His chuckles are enough to make them shiver through their spines.
Damian pushes his hair back. He moves away from his desk, taking slow deadly steps towards the staff.
His two friends, Victor and Matthew leaning on the wall watching the scene. They will act when Damian tells them to.
Their boss standing right in front of them. His huge, bulky figure towers over them even though they all are men.
“Speak...before I make all of you speak,” Damian slowly speaks, deadpan.
With hesitant moves, one staff raised his hand, “I—It’s me, sir—AHH!” his hair got grabbed by Damian.
A cold metal touched under his chin.
“I’m sure you got a brain before did something right?” Damian questioned.
“Y—Yes sir...” the staff trembling so badly. His breath was shaky and couldn’t move. It’s just like Damian’s touch makes his body paralyzed.
The gun pressed harder under his chin, “If you say yes then...why the fuck did you give all your trust to a new damn worked?”
“I—I”
BANG!
The staff fell on his knees, closing his ears. The mirror on the wall shattered in pieces by the bullet.
“Get that money, before you shatter like that mirror.”
The staff nods vigorously before running out of the room with the others. The door shut closed. Damian lets out a frustrated sigh.
“Well, that was extreme,” Matthew chuckles.
“Do you think they can find that money? I mean...Ludwig just worked here...a few days ago. No staff have known him well,” Victor speaks the fact.
Damian flops himself on the office chair, “I know that. I just want to scare them. So that they know how to do their job properly next time.”
“So...what do you want to do? Find Ludwig?” he questioned.
“Find?” Damian chuckles as he hears that, “We don’t need to find him.”
“Then?”
He stands up and grabs his stuff before turning to them. “I know where he headed to. I'm always one step ahead.”

Melody walked looking around. Her pocket is filled with stuff that she steals from her pickpocket. Right now, she just takes a break.
She walks into the cafe. Finally, she got to taste something delicious to reward herself. Melody stands in the line, patiently waiting for her turn. A lot of customers are in the cafe today.
She glanced at her watch and it was lunchtime. No wonder why.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!? Let me go!!”
The sounds of people yelling makes her lift her head. There are three men surrounded by one man around 30 like that.
“Give the money back to us, you motherfucker!!!!”
“What are you talking about!? I don’t have the money!” the old man snaps.
One guy chuckles, “Oh please. You are the only one who handles that money. I give you that task!”
“You have no evidence saying I’m the one who steals it!” the old man scoffs.
They exchange looks and chuckles. All customers watching the interactions. Including the workers.
“We got the evidence. We saw you at the bank in the CCTV holding the same case that I gave you,” another man speaks up, “Stop lying, Ludwig. We all know you are the one who steals the money.”
The old man looks like he got caught. His hands clench and sweat on his forehead. Melody could see it very well. She arches her eyebrows knowing the old man is the fault here.
“Fine! I steal it. So what!?” the Ludwig guy smirks.
He grabs the old man’s collar, “I fucking put trust in you because you told me you got experience in handling that kind of amount!!”
“It’s your fault. Who is asking you to believe in me?” Ludwig grins.
“Where did you spend that money, huh!?”
“Of course for gambling, what else?” the old man rolls his eyes.
They look like their life will be ended, “Y—You win the gambling...aren’t you?” one of them asks with hope in his tone.
“Unfortunately, no. Yeah, my luck in gambling is not good.” Ludwig chuckles thinking it is some kind of joke.
“Are you nuts!?”
“What? It is just money. As if that company can’t provide even much more,” the old man scoffs.
“You fucking dick! Do you know whose money you mess with!?”
“Why I have to—"
The door opens, ringing the bell. Everyone fell silent when they recognized who is it. Meanwhile, Melody just standing there looking confused. A man standing there, wearing a white button top with black slacks pants.
His blue cold eyes, expressionless, black shining hair, and tall and bulky body. Melody could see the tattoo on his hands his arms then on his neck.
“S—Sir...” the three guys just now stand straight.
“Woah, you are right. You did put a tracker on him,” a guy behind that man speaks.
Ludwig guy frowns.
All the customers whisper as they keep looking at that intimidating man. Melody furrows her eyebrows not knowing who he is.
He walks towards that old man, his shoes thumping the floor, “Here you are. Why leave so soon? You haven’t sent a resignation letter,”
“W—What it does matter to you?” Ludwig frowns.
“What?” the man chuckles, “How can you be so stupid? Has anyone in that office told you who’s the boss of the company you working at?”
“I didn’t care to know,” he rolls his eyes. He tries to act brave and tough. But, a little bit he knew, people could see his hands trembling.
“That’s the mistake,” the intimidating smirks.
Melody stares at the man from head to toe. Then, her gaze caught on his phone in his pocket. She slightly smirks seeing the chance.
“AH!” the old man screams in pain when that intimidating guy choked him.
“Hm...before you apply for the job, it is much better if you get to know who’s the boss. So that...you know who you mess with,” the man grins.
Somehow that grin looks handsomely creepy.
“Tell me...where you spend my money on, Mr. Ludwig?”
The grips on the old man’s neck tighten, “Ahh....f—fuck...you...”
“I don’t like to repeat my question,” he sighs. He puts more pressure on his grips.
Ludwig couldn’t feel any oxygen in his lungs. He tapped the intimidating man’s wrist. His feet off the ground, dangling. All the customers were terrified to see the scene.
Unlike Melody who keeps staring at the fancy phone in that intimidating man’s pocket. In her mind, she trying to set a plan.
“G—Gambling...” Ludwig weakly speaks.
“Ahh of course. Let me guess, you lose all the money, right?” he grins.
With hesitation in that old man’s eyes, he still nods. Then, the intimidating man drops him to the floor. Ludwig coughing so hard with tears in his eyes. That’s the very first time he felt like he would die in someone’s hand.
“You dare to take my money, steal from me, and even spend it,”
The voice from him sounds like it could kill anyone. Ludwig's breath becomes sharps like a knife on his neck.
“I give you time to pay but don’t you dare run. I could find you easily and once I did...” he leans to one of his ears, “You wouldn’t see the next day in your life.”
