Chapter Seven; Monster.

Stepping out of a car painted yellow and black is not just embarrassing, but it also stirs up gossip.

I hope my family's situation hasn't spread yet.

I could already notice eyes hover on me, I've worked too hard for my reputation to go down the sink. Ignoring the eyes, I walked into school with my head held high.

"Sky, we kept blowing up your phone, but you didn't respond, that is really unlike you." Lana's voice said, causing me to turn around.

"Oh," I say and check my phone. They really have been blowing up my phone.

"What's wrong?" Audrey asked with a concerned expression.

"Nothing, I'm not just in the mood today." I say and let out and exasperated sigh.

"Wanna skip first period and gossip?" Lana asked with a raised brow.

"Ye-"

"How about we actually go to class?" I say, cutting Audrey off.

Wow, did i actually say that?

Lana bought her hand to my forehead, giving me a crazy look. I smacked her hand away from my forehead.

"Skyler, did that annoying brat hit you on your head?" Lana scoffed.

"The brat did nothing. I'm just tired."

Audrey and i both went to our first class which is English, while Lana had chemistry. The class was partially filled, so we both sat in the back.

Mrs Coleman arrived with her hair in a bun and a scowl on her face.

"She looks like a witch." Lana commented and i let out a chuckle.

It seems she was in a bad mood, she gave a boy a good scolding because he wanted to leave the class.

Why can't teachers just let students do what they want?

"Turn in your essays everyone!" She thundered and everyone went over to submit theirs.

"We had an essay due today?" I asked Lana with a confused expression.

"Yeah." She answered, bringing out her essay.

"You did yours and you didn't tell me?" I asked with a stunned expression.

"Don't act surprised. Would you have done it if i had told you? No right? Besides your Skyler Richmond, no one's gonna scold you, just tell her you didn't do it and she'll let you off the hook." Lana said with a smile and went in to turn hers in.

She does have a point.

"These aren't complete, one is missing. Who didn't turn theirs in?" Mrs Coleman asked.

I raised my hand and stood up to my feet with pride.

"Why didn't you turn in your essay, Miss Richmond?"

Skyler, chill. Nobody knows that your father ran away, use that to your advantage.

"You have to give me an extension, I didn't do it." I confidently answered, tugging my blazer.

"You lack manners, young lady!" She thundered at me, this is the first time she or any teacher talked to me like this.

"Don't bother me, lady, you have no right to speak to me like this!" I shot back at her, earning me a glare from her.

"Did your parents not teach to not talk back to those older than you?! I pity your parents, they have no idea what a monster they made, and raised. Because that's what you are, you are a monster! I've heard about your attitude to the all the staff of this school, and your nonchalant attitude to your books! You better sit up or else.."

Oh my.

At this point i was boiling, I was infuriated, "Who the fuck do you think you are? What can you do to me you old hag, fuck you, fuck Kingston Academy, fuck all these." I said in a fit of rage and stormed out of the classroom.

How dare she call me a monster? She doesn't know me, she is just a piece of s-

My thoughts stopped mid way when i hit something. I looked up at what it was and i see William holding a coffee from Starbucks in his hand.

"Easy!" He whisper yelled, moving the coffee away from me.

"What's gotten into you? You're not the type to space out." William said again and i take a deep breath.

"And what's wrong with you, didn't you see me walking towards this side!" I shot back running a hand through my hair.

He grabbed me by the arm, "Never speak to me like that again."

"Fine, I'm just really frustrated right now." I confess taking a deep long breath.

"I can help you with that. Do you want a smoke?" William suggested with a raised brow.

He knows i never reject a smoke when I'm mad.

"That would be great right now. " I say in a calmer tone.

"Then let's go."

I am not addicted to cigarettes, they literally just calm my nerves. No matter how mad i get, it takes just a stick to make me free again.

When Will and i came back to school, school was pretty much over. I came back to take my stuff from my locker. Although when i got to my locker with Will, Lana and Audrey were standing beside it while talking to Aubrey.

"Dude, what are you doing here?" Will's voice echoed through the hallway.

"I knew you would come back with Skyler. Hey Sky!" Aubrey answered with a cheeky smile.

I opened my locker and took out my bag and phone. I turned it on and it began vibrating uncontrollably, because of messages.

"We were worried." Audrey said in their defense.

"So? The usual?" Lana suggested and i nodded my head in response.

"Wait, no!" I screamed when i finally understood what Lana meant.

"Why not?" Lana asked.

"Because..because, my house is been renovated and my family and i are staying in a hotel right now." I lied but it seemed they believed me so i gave myself an internal pat on the back.

"But we can still go shopping right? When is Rex getting here?" Audrey asked.

"Rex took a leave, so my mom thought he'd send me a private taxi." I covered up my secret again and i guess they believed me.

"Why taxi? I can take you to the hotel." William suggested and i mentally face palm myself.

"I don't even know the name of the hotel, so no you can't." I continued lying.

"But you know we can go to another, just the two of us." William whispered into my ear.

"You treat me so well." I said with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.

"Because i know that I'm the only guy that you've ever been with, So I'm obligated to treat you good." He whispered again and I let out a chuckle.

"Enough, so what are we doing tod-"

"Skyler, let's go!" A tiny voice echoed through the empty hallway. I trace the voice to the door and i see Steven glaring at me.

Oh god, could this day get any worse?

"Steven, I told you not to run off." Crystal's voice scolded Steven and i sigh.

"Your annoying siblings are going with you?" Lana said with disgust in her voice.

"Well they have to, my father thought it would be better if we arrived in the hotel in one car." I lied again and turned to leave.

With my heels making noise when it came in contact with the tiled floor, I catwalked out of school. I found Crystal and Steven occupying the backseat so to avoid throwing both out of the car, I sat in the front seat and a smiling Jasper greeted me.

We drove to his house and my mom broughtout the suitcase she took in last night and Jasper helped put it in the boot of the taxi and she joined Crystal at the backseat.

You are a monster and i pity your parents. Why did her statement hurt me so much?

"So this is where we will be staying?" Steven asked and i look up.

"We will be staying in a condo!? The neighborhood doesn't even look safe!" I protested.

"Well, we don't have a choice, we can't keep bothering Jasper." My mom replied and came out of the car.

Where is my father?!

Jasper helped take our luggage inside the pale purple house. The white painted house beside it seems so quiet. Or maybe nobody's home?

"What if there are a bunch of guys living there, and it turns out that they all go to Kingston Academy and then one bad boy falls for me, then we start dating?" Crystal gushed and i looked at her in utter disgust.

"This isn't wattpad, stupid." I say shaking my head and rolling my eyes.

"Kids, come inside!" Mom's voice called and we all went in.

This day did get worse.
