" Hello. Jade Hower. »

The secretary looks up at me, nods, then lowers it to look at her computer screen where she types my name. She looks up at me, handing me a sheet and a pen. She shows me the bottom of the sheet and asks me to sign.

" So ! I said giving it back to him.

" Thanks. I'm going to print you your timetable and a plan of the school. You are not housed at the boarding school? »

“No, I have my apartment 10 minutes from here. »

" Very well. »

She gets up to get the two sheets that have just been printed and gives them to me, explaining to me how to find one's bearings in the two buildings that make up the school and on the floors.

“Are you making an option? »

"Yes, travel +"

" Oh. You will most certainly take one trip, or even several, during the year. You will have to come see me to sign the administrative papers but your teacher will tell you in due time. »

I nod, thank her, and leave. A good thing done ! I'm going to go shopping now before the stores close. The city is quite big but I can easily find my way around. There are many stores I could go to!

I take the first comer, grab a basket and start shopping. I never left my parents' house, I will have to learn to cook myself and do with the tastes of my roommate, who is still a mystery to me.

I take a bit of everything, trying to watch my expenses. When I leave, I pass by the bakery to buy a baguette and a pastry that I will eat while visiting the city. I put my groceries in my car and walk around town eating my pain au chocolat.

I see a tourist office in which I go to obtain some additional information. I've already researched the city but want to know if there are any current events I might have missed.

Exhibitions, parties, parties, ... are organized very often since it is a city really made for students. Apart from my school of tourism, there are other schools. There is that of commerce 15 minutes from here, that of architecture and history are next door and that of politics too.

In short, there are practically only young people here!

I return to my car as night begins to fall. 5 minutes later, I have already arrived at the bottom of the building. I try to take all the races at the same time but I can't. A second round trip is therefore necessary!

I store the first groceries in the fridge and in the cupboards, then I tackle the bathroom. Besides, I can't wait to take a shower!

Since I'm alone, I take the opportunity to go take my shower right away. I relax under the jets of water. How good that feels !

I grab my towel, dry myself and put on my pajamas to be comfortable. I dry my wet hair behind my back and go to the kitchen to start preparing the meal. I'll try to do something simple: dough and ham, it should be fine.

I eat in front of the TV, I have fun, I am alone and free. I love this feeling! I am no longer dependent on my parents. I don't need to ask to do something, I only do it if I feel like it and it's just happiness!

River calls me right after dinner, asking me how my installation is going. I'm happy to be able to tell him and he remains silent to listen to me!

Our relationship started over a year ago. I met him when I was coming out of a difficult relationship with a guy who literally broke my heart. He helped me get over it like a best friend and I fell into his arms.

Gemma doesn't really approve of my relationship with him. It must be said that she was very close to Taio, the ex in question. She was disgusted to see us separate but even more so when she saw me so desperate for our separation.

Anyway, this all goes back more than a year. I was able to recover and move on and that, I am very proud of.

Besides, Gemma calls me back in the evening to ask me how the roommate is. Luckily I told her she wouldn't arrive until tomorrow!

“Don't insist, Gemma, she's not here. I huffed, exasperated.

-I miss you already, Jade. It's hell here with the parents...

-Why ?

-You miss. You know we've always been together and now you're leaving, it's really weird, I promise.

-You just have to get used to it, Gemma.

-Yes I hope. I leave you, I'm going to bed.

-Sure. Good night, little sister. Sweet Dreams.

- Thank you, Jade. Good night to you too. I like you.

Gemma is the person I will miss. It's horrible for River but I'm so much closer to my sister than to River...it's inevitable. I feel bad for him, though.

I think for a long time. It feels so weird to tell me that I'm in my apartment, that this is my room.

I'm tired but I struggle to sleep so much I think. It's horrible...

Then I think of my roommate and that stresses me out. I really hope it goes well with her.

I hope so... I end up falling asleep, overwhelmed by fatigue.
