Chapter 6
His office was even more prettier than I imagined. There was a huge mahogany desk with a large black leather chair on the other end. The desk was decorated with only three picture frames facing the chair, a laptop, pencil holder an office phone on the corner.
Behind the desk was a huge floor length window that took up the whole wall that over saw the city. In the corner of the office, there were white leather couches, a beige carpet and a black coffee table and next to the was a white double door which I'm assuming is my office. On the other side of the room there was another door, which I think is the bathroom and next to it were shelves with many documents stacked on them.
"Take a seat ms Anderson" his voice broke me out of whatever frenzy I was in. I obliged and took a seat at one of the chairs that were in front of the desk.
"You will be expected here be here by eight sharp. I'll be in by nine. My coffee is supposed to be on my desk, black coffee no sugar or cream and should still be hot and here by the time I get here. You'll be setting and or canceling my meetings and trips, and you would have to come with me to them. You will be answering my important emails and you would dispose off the useless ones. Do you understand?"
He said all at once, not once stuttering and not once looking up at me. I nodded because I couldn't find my voice anywhere and I couldn't embarrass myself by turning into a stuttering mess.
He raised an eyebrow and I got confused until he looked up at me. I took in a sharp intake of breath as I looked into his stormy grey eyes. Ok, that's it, grey is officially my favorite color now. I finally understood what he meant and answered with a yes. "Yes what?" He said as he looked me dead in the eyes. I couldn't take the intimidation any longer, so I looked down, " yes, sir." I said as he went back to whatever he was doing on his laptop.
"Go get me my coffee Ms Anderson, I'm giving you three minutes", he aske- no, more like ordered me to go get him his coffee. "Yes sir" I said and did as I was told and rushed out of his office. I didn't know where to get his coffee from, so I asked Mrs Snobby. When I reached her desk, I read her name tag, turns out it was Charlotte. Huh, such a beautiful name for such a bitchy person. When I approached she looked up and glared at me. What's her problem? I don't even know what I did to her, do I did the most sensible thing ever... I smiled sweetly to her, "where can I find the break room here?" I asked politely, all she did was ignore me and go back to what she was doing. Okaaay.
I rushed over to the elevator and pressed the fifty five on the side, at least there was someone who was nice to me when I first got here. Charlotte just decided to waste my precious three minutes. When the elevator opened, I quickly rushed to the receptionist who's name I didn't catch last time. When I got there I read her babe tag that had Emma. "Hi Emma! I'm really sorry, but do you know where the break room is?" I asked at her, "hi Amelia! Um yeah, it on the fiftieth floor" she politely smiled at me, "thank you!" I shouted while I was already running towards the elevator.

"You're two minutes and fifty second late, Ms Anderson" Alexander said as I set his coffee down on his desk. Is he serious? I actually thought he wasn't being serious when he said he'd give me three minutes. My jaw dropped at what he had just said. "Well?" He said and I furrowed my eyebrows at his question. "Aren't you going to apologize?" He added on and my eyes widened as my jaw, once again, dropped. Apologize for what? He raised a perfectly sculpted eyebrow at me and I took it as a sign to 'apologize', "sorry sir, it won't happen again" I said to him, "good" was all he said before sending me off to go do some work.

To say I was tired would be an understatement. Alexander kept on piling more and more work for me to do and I got so tired. It was seven pm and everyone had gone home except from me and him. As I finished up the last of my work, I packed up and walked to the door that joined our offices. I knocked and after hearing a 'come in' I popped my head in and told him I was leaving. "Bye sir!" I said and all he did was ignore me and continue working.
