Chapter 9: First Day

Still feeling flustered of what she just witnessed, Danielle goes to the pantry and made herself a cup of coffee before she went back to her desk. After an hour, the blonde woman came out.

Danielle discreetly watched the young woman walking. She looks like a young model but probably couple of years older than her.

Danielle stands from her seat and lowered her gaze as the blonde woman walked past her desk. She attempted to walk her out but the young woman gestured her hand to stop her. "That's okay. I can walk myself out.”

Why does she sound so pissed? Did they have a fight?

Danielle nodded as she watched the blonde woman leave.

Way to start my first day as the CEO’s personal secretary!

It’s only five minutes after nine o’clock and Parker doesn’t have any meetings until eleven. But he needs to read through some paperworks for that meeting. So she thought about making her boss a cup of coffee while he works.

She waited for a few minutes before making one. She had to give Parker some time to look decent after that woman came out. Her imagination’s just making sure she doesn’t add another experience to her list of embarrassing encounters with her boss.

She knocked on Parker’s office and pushed the door open after she heard him answering. “Come in.”

"Good morning, Mr. Neumann." She walked towards his table and carefully placed the cup of coffee on his desk.

He's currently having troubles fixing his tie, irritation evident on his face.

She glances at him and offered help, "May I?"

He nodded before she stepped beside him. He sat up straight and gave her the tie.

She managed to calm her nerves while making a knot around his neck. She patted the tie lightly after it's neatly done. "That looks better." She smiled.

"You seem to be an expert doing this to men." He remarked, sounding a little sarcastic while he looked at her face.

She managed to ignore his sarcastic tone. ”You could say that.” She stepped back, still smiling.

Parker didn’t seem to like her answer, his forehead creased with his left eyebrow raised.

She maintained to keep her smile as she explained. “I have three men in my life, got two brothers and my dad!" She had to make sure that he doesn’t get the wrong idea.

He nodded slightly. ”No boyfriend?" He asked, curiosity on his face.

Danielle blinked. She didn’t expect he’d be curious enough to ask that question on her first day. ”I just graduated.” She answered. Her studies kept her busy that she couldn’t afford dating guys. And then there’s her two older brothers and her father.

His eyes narrowed as his gaze intensified, that gleam of excitement reflected on his eyes. "What are your plans after your internship? Would you accept our employment offer by then?"

She didn’t really think that far ahead. “I’d rather take one step at a time. For now, I want to finish my internship.”

I want to just finish working for you! She wanted to tell him but she stopped herself or she’d get in more trouble.

His eyes moved lower and checked her dress, noticing her vintage chic jade classy pencil dress, black heels and her red hair fixed in a neat bun. "You dressed up today." He said as he pretended to look at his computer.

She smiled. "You can call me if you need anything, Mr. Neumann." She takes a step towards the door.

"I'm sorry about earlier." He said with his eyes still glued on the monitor screen.

Daniellle was surprised to hear those words from him as she was reaching for the door handle. He’s probably referring to that incident with the blonde girl. She smiled to herself and answered, "I didn't see anything." She answered as she stepped out, thinking she’d soon get used to those kinds of ‘incidents’ inside his office.

“And thanks for the coffee." Parker added before Danielle closed the door behind her. She sighed heavily before walking towards her desk.

She never thought he can sound so sincere apologizing and thanking her but with a serious look on his face. He’s not that bad after all.

She was expecting that he’d be mad at her because of what she did during the interview yesterday. But that was not even brought up today.

He even noticed that I dressed appropriately today.

But the idea of being that close to him after knowing that he was doing-god-knows-what prior to her helping him fix his tie brought excitement between her thighs.

Plus he smells so good.

Her inner slutty muse singing gloriously now that she’ll see Parker everyday.

She blushed at her thoughts and found herself biting her lower lip. But she soon shakes her head, hoping that would brush off the fantasies her wild imagination is starting to fill her mind with.

Geez! I should stop having these thoughts! I've got a lot of work to do today and thinking about getting kissed by my boss is not one of them! Not in my wildest dreams!

She almost jumped out of her chair when the phone rang. She had to take a few breaths before answering the call. "Good morning! Neumann Holdings. How can I help you?"
