« Fancy meeting you here… » a low voice whispered, sounding very amused.

Turning around I sighed when I saw the guy from before. Noah, I think ? Staring at him, I noticed that he was smiling at me, showing off his pearly whites. No doubt he was a hit with the ladies. Quickly glancing at him, I saw how his messy black hair fell over his forehead. His blue eyes sparkled and I tried not to stare at them too much. When I heard him clear his throat, I cringed.

« Like what you see… » he whispered, arching a brow at me.

« Huh ? » I asked, trying to act nonchalant. « Uh, no ! I was wondering how someone can use such cheesy lines and get away with it. I mean seriously…. »

And with that I turned back around, leaving him with a look of annoyance plastered all over his face. As I tried to focus on what the old dude was saying up front, I felt someone poke my shoulder from behind again. Jeez ! Turning back around, I gasped when I saw Noah’s face not an inch from mine, leaning over his desk. My eyes drifted down his lips, and it made me unconsciously nibble on my bottom lip. I heard him laugh softly so I managed to pry my eyes away and look up at him.

« What now ? » I muttered.

« Can I borrow a pen, Lily ? » he asked, drawing out my name.

« Fine. One sec, » I replied, turning back around in my seat.

As I retrieved my pencil case from my rucksack, I unzipped it and smiled at what I saw. I looked at the pen Jennifer had given to me for my last birthday. It was just a joke present, a glittery pink pen with a huge pink feather, kind of like a quill. She knows how I hate all things pink and glittery so of course she had given me the most girlish pen she could find. This would do nicely ! Keeping my face completely deadpan, I turned back around and held out the pen to him, trying my absolute hardest not to smile when I saw him make a ‘what the hell ?’ face at me.

« You can’t be serious ? » He whispered, making a face. « This is pink and glittery. This does not bode well for my manliness ! »

« Oh I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware you had any manliness, » I smiled, losing the battle to keep a straight face. « Besides, this is the only spare one I have. Take it or leave it. »

Without waiting for an answer I turned back around in my seat, finally succumbing to the laughter that had been threatening to escape me ever since I handed the pen over to him. As I put my fist in my mouth try and stifle the giggle, I heard muttering behind me. « I can see your shoulders shaking Lily. »

That’s it ! I burst out laughing, causing the professor to turn around and stare at me with what I can only presume was pure, unadulterated hatred. « You there, in the front. Do I need to remove you from this lecture hall ? » He asked, pointing a bony finger at me.

« No sir, sorry, » I cringed, « I uh – was choking. You know phlegm and all that ! »

The professor nodded and I exhaled, leaning back against the chair. Looking towards the front I saw his eyes dart up to the seat behind me. « Nice pen Noah, bit girly for you don’t you think ? » He smiled.

Turning around I grinned at Noah, to find him looking directly at me, a gleam in his eye. All of a sudden he stood up and waved the pen around. « Yes ! This is a pink glittery quill. I’m not afraid to admit it. I’m comfortable with my masculinity, as some of you ladies will know, » he laughed, glancing at me.

As laughs reverberated through the class, I rolled my eyes and turned back to the front, cursing under my breath. Damn his cockiness ! « Nice try gorgeous, but I don’t embarrass that easily, » I heard him whisper from behind me, his lips dangerously close to my ear.

I tried not to shudder, and I think I just about managed to pull it off. Just ! And did he just call me gorgeous ? Puh-lease ! What a player ! As I settled in to the lecture, I was finally hitting my stride when the door opened and a girl stepped forward, already apologising to the professor before he could even scold her. She marched over to my row and took a seat next to me, swearing when she realised she didn’t have a pen.

Turning around, she smiled. « Do you have a pen I can borrow please ? My head’s all over the place today. »

« Sure, » I smiled back, reaching in to my case and handing her a black biro.

« Thanks, you’re a life saver, » I heard her mutter as she focused on the front and began rapidly taking notes.

I knew what was coming next, and he didn’t disappoint. I felt a light tapping on my left shoulder, so I turned around with a straight face, looking up in to the sparkling blue eyes of Noah. « Only pen you had, huh ? » He asked, arching a brow at me. « If I’m not mistaken, you just gave a biro to that girl right there. »

« Yeahhhhh, » I smiled, dragging out the word. « I only just remembered I had it. »

« You’re a playful one aren’t you ? » He whispered, smirking at me. « Makes me wonder if you’re playful in other…aspects. »

Leaning forward so I got up close to him, I smiled slowly. My mouth must have only been about an inch away from his, and I was satisfied when I heard him take in a sharp breath as he glanced at my mouth. « That’s for me to know… » I whispered, grinning. « Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some notes to write before you so rudely interrupted me. »

And leaving him staring after me, I turned around and began to make notes, smiling as I did so.

Noah POV :

As I watched her turn away from me, I grinned. This one was a real livewire, and I couldn’t wait to get her in to my bed to see how playful she really was. Granted, it would take a lot more to get this girl than the others, but I was willing to play ball. I had a feeling this girl would be a firecracker, and that’s just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, this girl seems to be immune to pick up lines, so I’ll just have to win her over with my charm and wit ! I looked at her messy blonde hair, tumbling down her shoulders. I imagined what it would be like, threading my fingers through it and pulling her into a passionate kiss. As I started to daydream, I felt a hardness in my trousers. Uh oh !

Squirming, I tried to rearrange my uh- well, rearrange my downstairs, so it wasn’t so obvious. But to my absolute horror, the bell suddenly rang and everyone started getting up from their seats and leaving the lecture hall. So I did the only thing I could do, I just sat there like an idiot, waiting for everyone to leave. Drumming my fingers on the desk, I couldn’t help but stare when Lily stood up and began packing her things away.

I leaned forward and grinned. « It’s been nice talking to you gorgeous. I’ll be seeing you around. »

As she turned to face me, I smiled when I saw her swing her rucksack on to her shoulders, pushing out her chest in the process. And I had a perfect view. Sometimes, patience pays off in the end. But as I got an eyeful, I cringed when I felt the bulge in my trousers spring back to life. You have got to be kidding me ? Just a glance and this girl can get me on the edge. I need to screw her soon ! Just to get it out of my system.

« Are you gonna sit there all day ? » I heard her ask as she walked towards the door.

Glancing up from my trousers, trying to disguise the fact that I was adjusting a few things, I shrugged. « I do enjoy the ambience of the lecture hall, » I said, sweeping my arms around the room. « Might stay a bit longer, you know, absorb the knowledge. »

She cocked an eyebrow, looking at me like I was completely bat-crap crazy. I couldn’t blame her. A guy goes to great lengths to not give the game away too soon. « Whatever dude, you just carry on trying to adjust yourself down there and I’ll leave you to it, » she laughed, winking at me.

My mouth dropped open and I stuttered, trying to think of something smart to say. « I wasn’t – you know – uh… »

« You’re squirming a lot there Noah, » she laughed, pushing the door open and walking out, without even glancing back.

I just sat in my seat, wondering what the hell had just happened. Since when does a girl leave me tongue-tied. Never ! As I sat in the seat for another minute or two I couldn’t stop thinking about her. The way her hips swayed as she walked, her full lips that I just wanted to kiss well in to the night. As another class started to roll in, I crossed my fingers and stood up, looking down at my crotch area.

« We’re good to go, » I whispered happily to myself, walking out of the classroom and in to the hallway. I scanned the hall, looking to see if she was around. She wasn’t. But it didn’t matter ; this just gave me more time. I was determined. I would get this girl in to my bed, or die trying !
