Chapter 4

"What the?! Drake angrily stood up.

I was smiling at him seductively. “What?” I asked when he quickly pulled down my top.

He made me stand up too with his hands on my arms. His lips were a thin line. My face constricted when his hold tightened.

"Do you always do that? Darn it!" His ears and face were a little red.

"I was just fooling around. Why so serious?” I asked with a small laugh.

He shook me slightly and I uttered a sound of complain. He was furious but all I could think about was how good he smelled.

"You shouldn’t consider flashing your tits like that in public a joke!" He even uttered a bad word through clench teeth.

I liked him more when he was in this black mood. He looked so manly and it was a major turn on for me.

"It’s just you and me here," I commented as I tried to wriggle free.

"And what about at the event?! That's a public place darn it!!"

"That was an accident. I had a wardrobe malfunction."

He cursed one more time before he finally released me. He angrily turned to get his phone on the table.

"I'll tell your friend and sister that I don't want you for the ad! You just proved that you are not fit to endorse my clinic!" he told me in a cold voice without even looking at me as he walked out.

I sighed and just shook my head. I didn’t want to make him angry but it is what it is.

I invited Ola and Ivy at home to blow off steam by drinking alcohol. We were now in my bedroom. My parents were out of the country while my sister was doing a photo shoot so we could do whatever we wanted.

"Oh my God girls! It hurts so much! My boo is mad at me. He doesn't want me to be his endorser!” I complained and gulped some more beer.

“Ivy could you hand me that flower vase so I could hit this woman’s head with it!” Ola told Ivy.

Ivy shook her head. "What on earth came to you to do such a thing? Why show your tits to him?! "

"I felt insulted when he said he had seen better ones! You know how sexy I am and a lot of women would do anything to have this natural body and pretty face! He hurt my ego and broke my heart!”

"Now I am really curious how that doctor looks like. This is the first time you did such a stupid thing and you’re starting to talk like you’re obsessed with him! Seems like you’ve found your match!” Ola commented with one brow raised.

While pouting, I got my phone and began tapping it.

"How rude! I am talking to you then you get your phone as if I wasn’t here? If I didn’t feel indebted to you for inviting us over, I would pull your hair you impertinent female!” Ola said dramatically.

Ivy laughed while I stuck my tongue at them.

"Will you just chill? I am checking my sister’s social media. We attended an event where my boo was the special guest remember? I am going to show you his photos so stop calling me rude okay? Here! Take a look!” I handed Ola my mobile phone.

She and Ivy excitedly looked at my hot doctor’s photos. I covered my ears with my hands when they both made a sound of glee.

“Oh my God Lexi! He is so hot!” Ola said and even kissed the monitor of my phone so I angrily grabbed it from her.

“Eow! You’re so gross!” I immediately wiped my phone with a tissue.

"Now I know why you did that! He is very good-looking!” It was Ivy this time.

"If I were in your shoes I would show him more than my boobs! He is a walking dream girl!” Ola dreamily said.

I glowered at her. “Stop fantasizing about my boo! You have your indolent boyfriend so stick with him! My boo is mine!”

"Wow Lexi is that you? Why so jealous and possessive? He’s not even your man yet duh?” Ivy rolled her eyes.

"Whatever! He is destined to be mine okay? Anyway I invited you here for a sleepover to ask you for advice.”

The two exchanged glances.

"Is this really happening? What have you done to our friend?” Ivy asked as she made a face at me.

I glared at her and she put up her fingers and made a peace sign.

“Okay okay. We’ll stop fooling around. Anyway this is the first time that you asked us for some advice and you seemed to be serious,” Ola finally said.

I sat up more comfortably on the bed. “What should I do to change Drake’s bad impression of me? "

“It’s simple. Change everything about you.” Came Ivy’s suggestion.

My eyes widened. “What? Why the hell will I do that? What’s wrong with me anyway?”

Ola rolled her eyes. “Geez Lexi do you really want me to be brutally honest? We are talking of a doctor here okay? Dr. Drake is decent, respectable, well-known, filthy rich and has a good taste in everything especially women! Okay you’re from a rich family, you have a degree and it is obvious that you’re sexy and gorgeous but my God Lexi! Most of the time you don’t act and speak appropriately!"

I chewed the inside of my bottom lip. “Is it that bad?”

“YES!” they both said at the same time.

I sighed and drank more beer.

"We need to make you over! Ola could do wonders as we both know! We will transform you so you and your doctor would be a perfect match!"

(Next morning)

"Don’t I look like I would be just doing household chores?” I asked as I check my face which was bare of make-up. I was going to bring Drake breakfast.

“You look gorgeous! Natural beauty is the best!” Ola complimented me.

"Who knows? Dr. Drake might change his mind once he sees how pretty you still look even without make-up,” Ivy said.

I sighed and shook my head as I look at what they asked me to put on.

“This looks like a Sunday dress and the sleeves are too long! It’s 96 degrees outside for Pete’s sake!”

They chose a light green silk long-sleeves blouse and black jeans for me to wear.

Ola grunted. "Duh? Don’t you see how respectable but still lovely you look?"

I crinkled my nose, “Oh well! I am doing all these for my boo anyway!" I said with a sigh.

"Yes! That is your karma. Remember I told you last time that once you found the one, you would do anything and everything for him? Now you understand why I shower my love gifts and love?” Ola asked me with one brow raised.

I looked daggers at her “Oh yes! Your bad mouth cursed me. Are you happy now?” I asked sounding annoyed and she just rolled her eyes at me.

“We better go or we will be late for work Ola. Anyway Lexi you have to bring your doctor’s breakfast now before it becomes brunch!”

"Good morning Claudia,” I greeted Drake’s secretary with a sweet smile.

Behind me, one of our fast food restaurant’s staff was carrying paper bags with food. I turned to get two of the bags.

"Oh this is for both of you!" I happily handed them the two small bags. “By the way, is Dr. Drake in?”

With a small frown, Claudia took the bags and just nodded.

“What time is he going to attend to his first patient?” I asked.

"In half an hour."

I smiled wider. "That’s good. He has time to have breakfast.”

Before any of the two women could react, I added, “Enjoy your food. Those are the bestseller breakfast meal our shop offers.”

I then turned to our staff again to take the other bags, “You can go back to the shop now Gilbert. I will take care of these.”

I then walked to where Drake’s private clinic was and knocked thrice.

Drake was reading something on his laptop when I came in.

"Good morning!" I greeted him with my sweetest smile and put the paper bags on the coffee table.

With a slight frown on his face, he asked," Alexandria? What are you doing here?"

Damn!-- he thought.

He was amazed and surprised by how good Lexi looked. She was prettier this morning without any make-up and she wasn’t wearing revealing clothes. He was staring at her as she took some plastic food container out from the paper bags. He recognized the name of the fast food restaurant printed on the bags.

"I brought you breakfast. You have a lot of patients so you should have a hearty meal this morning,” I said with my back on him.

I wasn’t aware that Drake's eyes were on my delicious looking bottom which was covered by black jeans.

F*ck off jerk!-Drake reprimanded himself.

He had been thinking of Lexi since last night. He was surprised to see her in his clinic this early today. How could he shake her off his mind if she was here in front of him again?

"Alexandria didn't I tell you that I don’t want you for our ad? Why are you here today?” he asked as he stood up.

I turned to face him with coffee in my hand. I had no idea that Drake almost cursed when he saw how lovely I looked up-close. I didn’t have even lip gloss on. I had very good skin and had no clue that he was turned on by my natural good looks. I handed him the coffee.

"I just came here to bring you breakfast. Here’s your coffee. You can start eating too,” my voice was smiling and sweet.

He saw my perfect set of teeth which were pearly white.

" I don't eat fast food."

Drake almost regretted what he said when he saw Lexi’s expression. She lost her smile for a second or two but now it was back again.

"Oh sorry, my bad! I should have asked you first. Anyway what do you want? I could buy it right now. Just tell me.”

He looked at the food I laid on the table and frowned, “Why the hell did you bring so much food? How did you manage to carry all those?"

Oh he’s concerned about me! How sweet! – I thought.

"Don't worry, one of our male staff helped me and by the way, I brought food for Claudia and your other female staff,” I said cheerfully.

I had to tell him that so he would think that I care about his staff too. He would think of me as a caring, generous, beautiful and sexy woman. The ideal wife for him. My face broke into a small frown when he returned the coffee to me. Hesitantly, I took it.

"Don’t you like cappucino? What do you want? Tea? I will go downstairs to buy a cup for you!" I said and turned to the door.

"I’m busy so you can go. No need to buy me anything. Thanks for the food. I will ask someone to bring all these to the other clinic for the staff.”

I turned again to look at him. He was on his laptop. I felt hurt since all my effort went down the drain. But I would not give up that easily. Anyway it was just my first attempt.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked as I sat down on the chair in front of his desk.

I wanted to go to him and smother him with kisses but of course I didn’t. I mustn’t forget my friends’ advice. I should act like a lady all the time. He looked at me sharply.

"I am not hungry. Please leave now. Don't you have a job?" he asked sounding irritated.

I pouted. "I don’t need to work until later."

He sighed. "You can go now Alexandria. My first patient's appointment is in 15 minutes and have to prepare for it,” he said dismissively.

I sighed and with a sad face I rose from the chair. I went to the coffee table at the left side of his clinic to get my hand bag.

Then the door opened and a pretty but very slim woman came in.

"Drake!”

"Baby?" with a frown, Drake stood up.

Excitedly the newcomer ran to him. I saw red when her arms went around my boo. And what was worse, he embraced her too.
