Chapter 2

As I was about to go to the kitchen. I bump into someone; I look up to say who it was. It was Jacob.

"Need some help with that," he asked.

"Yeah thanks" I say as I tell him where to put them.

"Sorry about that,"he says.

"It's alright" I tell him.

"Where's my brother?" I asked.

"Your brother is too busy chatting some girl up," he says, laughing.

"Well, he is always like that even though he has a girl" I tell him.

"Yeah, I guess us guys are heartless," he says.

"Can't agree with that," I said.

"That hurts" he says as he grasps.

"Well, you said it" I tell him as I sit down, and he sits beside me.

I pause for a moment then speak.

"I can keep you company until he is finished talking to the girl" I offer him.

"Yeah" he says I show him where my room is, and he goes in then he sits on my bed.

"Nice room" he says.

"Thanks, it's my pride and joy, " I jokingly said.

"Well we'll well, if it isn't my two favourite people" tiara said as she came in.

"I saw your girlfriend outside, she was asking for you then she left" tiara said as Jacob goes on his phone and calls someone. And then leaves the room.

"What's going on?" she asked.

"Nothing we were talking, that's all I promise" I said as she raised an eyebrow.

"Well I come with good news," she said.

"Well what is it" I asked.

"We're going to a party," she said as she danced and sang.

"Okay slow your rolls, I don't have a dress or new clothes" I said as she held one finger up and told me to give her a second.

She runs out of the room. I then heard the front door open and a few seconds later it was shut.

I hear her coming upstairs.

"Well my friend, I have the perfect dress for you" I said as she took a dress she was hiding from her back.

"Wow, that dress is hot," I said.

"I know, we leave in an hour so get dressed and by the way your brother and Jacob are coming" she said as she goes into the toilet before I can say anything.

We get dressed and ready and make our way downstairs.

Jacob and Olive are waiting for us at the door.

We come down the stairs. Me and Jacob lock eyes.

I look away, and we all head for the car.

My mom and my dad are away tonight. Hint as to why we are leaving the house.

After 30 minutes of driving, we got to the party. The music is so long you can hear it a few blocks away. You can see teenagers outside of the house, in the house and in the backyard.

Me and tiara look at each other, and smile.

We hold hands and go in together.

We first get drinks and start dancing. Tiara being the girl who guys love, has a guy already and me here alone dancing like a loner.

My brother heads upstairs with a girl.

I can see Jacob with a girl. It's not his girlfriend.

A sudden sad clowns my mood. I leave the dance floor and get a drink.

"Hey I'm Alex" a cute guy says.

"I'm Alice," I said as I smiled back at him.

"Are you here by yourself?" he asked as I shook my head.

"You" I asked.

"No, my girlfriend is somewhere here," he said.

"Shouldn't you go find her?" I said as I cracked.

"I should see you again Alice" Alex said as he disappeared into the crowd.

"Is that your boyfriend?" Jacob asked as he came next to me.

"No, was that girl your second girlfriend?" I asked as he smiled at me.

"No," he said as he laughed.

"Let's say a round of the pool table," he said.

"I would but I don't play and never played pool table" I said.

"I will teach you newbie," he said.

"Don't call me that" I said as he laughs and leads the way.

He first shows me how to play it and then guides me.

He places his hand on my waist and his other hand on my hand.

"Now release it newbie" he said.

" You jinx me" I said as I hit his arm.

"It's not my fault you're easily jinxed," he said.

"Not true," I said as he laughed.

"Come here" he said as he guided me again.

Our faces are an inch away from each other.

I look at him. He looks at me, we lock eyes.

"Release it" he says without breaking our eye contact. I look away and do what he says.

"I can't believe I did it, thank you" I said jumping in happiness.

And then hugging him. As soon as I realised what I was doing I backed up.

"So who is she?" a girl said as I looked at her then at him.

"She is a friend of Gina," he said.

"Do you look at all your friends like that Jacob?" she said.

"I'm sorry I don't know you but I'm his girlfriend, stay away from him" she said looking at me. She's so angry.

"I'm only his friend, like he said" I said as I walked away from that situation.

I look at my friend.

She's full out making out with this cute guy. She stops when she sees me and invites me to come over.

"Hey" I said in an awkward tone.

"Trey, this is my best friend Alice," she said.

"Nice to meet you," he said.

"Alice, this is true," she said.

"Nice to meet you too," I said.

I talk to them for a bit then leave them alone.

After a few hours of being here, I went to find a tiara and we left the party. And go home.
