Chapter 4

Lord Yi had left the meeting once the situation had been resolved. They were going to wed one of the Demon realm's princess with one of the Celestial Realm's prince. Everyone had known that Lord Yi does not care about such matter but since he was the Emperor of the Demon realm then he would have to agree. The arrangement to find a princess in the demon realm was still unknown which Lord Yi would have to find one within the demon clan. Emperor Chang had decided to have the first prince wed since the second prince was known to always be around women and flirt. Then the third prince was Fang Teng Fei, he was already married and would refuse to have another wife which his wife would even disagree.

(The Eyes of the Realms- The only place allowing true emperors and empresses to see through the eyes of the realm with their magic.)

Lord Yi went to The Eyes of the Realms, summoning his magic having to create a small cloud which started showing where the little fox could be at. Looking around possible places until he switched it over to the mortal realm. Seeing the blue fox injured and walking around which had him get up and go there immediately.

Mu Shao Qing was trying to look for food which she had tried to catch a few fishes. Having at least five years pass in the mortal realm felt like forever for her. Her body was slow but she couldn't get a single catch having her wound heal but leaving scars. Finding berries instead, she ate them but they were not as sweet as she thought. Being stuck in the mortal realm, she wondered if Lord Yi was worried at all about her.

Hearing arrows behind her, Mu Shao Qing quickly jumped away avoiding the arrows. Seeing two hunters who arrive to capture her. "That's a rarity! We'll make a fine amount off of it!" The mortal men started running after her which she started running. Running down the hill, she had tumbled down and rolled hitting the soil floor which she could feel her body aching with pain everywhere.

Being caught in a net, she struggled and growled trying to bite them both. "It can't do anything to us." One said which he then grabbed her by the back of the neck. Mu Shao Qing was screaming wildly in her fox body which she wished now that she could have a human form to make it easier on herself. Biting onto the man who grabbed her, he screamed having to slam her hard onto the ground. Laying limp, Mu Shao Qing couldn't even think about getting up anymore. She was just tired now and wanted to sleep in peace. "It's dead now. Let's just hurry up and skin it." Taking out his small knife, he grabbed her neck full of fur having Mu Shao Qing unable to get up and fight back.

When the man was about to do so, a crimson red flame flew burning the man who had slammed Mu Shao Qing down. He screamed having to see Lord Yi who he thought was a demon. "Demon! Demon!" Both men started running away while Lord Yi went over to Mu Shao Qing who was barely breathing.

"Little fox, you've been through a lot. I'm sorry I'm late." Lord Yi took her back to his palace where she was going to recuperate.

"Where is Shao Qing?!" Mu Zhengsheng yelled throughout the entire house looking for his little sister. His father had even gotten word that Mu Shao Qing was missing now for days when she always returned after sun down. Mu Zhengsheng went to his father and step-mother who were in the office room. "Father, if find that someone in this clan did something to harm her then I will not allow them to be released from death." Mu Zhengsheng said having his step-mother nervous now.

Lord Zhong pondered a bit about his son's words but he knew that Mu Shao Qing was still his daughter. "Alright, if there was someone who did this and planned to get rid of Shao Qing then we will sentence them to death."

"Husband?! What if she just ran away herself! She is just a regular fox!" Mu Zhengsheng saw how his step-mother was having him feel more suspicious of her since she was the only one who would likely go against his little sister. He needed to have solid evidence to pin it down onto her.

"Nonsense! My daughter knows where her home is. She would never leave her brother as well. She loves him and would never leave him alone." Lord Zhong said knowing one thing about his daughter was that she loved her brother too much to leave him in the fox clan alone. "Zhengsheng, I leave it for you to find your sister. You are growing up now into a better leader and it shows a lot that you can take care of your clan." His father said patting his son's back. Giving Mu Zhengsheng the seal next which could have him go search any realm or clan for her. "Find her for me. You know I can never have the time to look for her since I have the clan to watch over." Mu Zhengsheng had never seen his father act this way before but he possibly wanted to make things up for his mistakes.

Mu Zhengsheng nodded having to leave and find any trace at all for Mu Shao Qing. His step-mother grew angry but scared at the same time worrying for her life.

She went to her room and had contacted the fox who had dealt with Mu Shao Qing. "Make sure that she isn't alive." She said having the nine tail fox leave after. "I won't let her get in my way anymore."

Mu Shao Qing could smell sweet basil having her mind feel at ease. She felt her ear twitch and her eyes opening. Seeing blurriness for a bit then blinking again she started seeing a more clear view. Seeing Lord Yi, she saw him brewing something which had Mu Shao Qing try to get up but she whined instead falling back onto her side laying down. "You can't get up for some time little fox. You need to rest for the time since your entire body was nearly broken."

Mu Shao Qing whined looking at Lord Yi who had the same cold and distant look but she somehow felt as though he was a bit different today like he looked hurt just seeing her. He came over to her side and had her started drinking that medicine little by little. It was bitter but she preferred to drink it to get better faster. "I didn't think that you lived on the mortal realm. If you lived in the mortal realm then I suppose it would be better that you remain here in my palace." Lord Yi said having Mu Shao Qing unable to tell him her gratitude towards him.
