Two days had passed since The heart transplant was done.
"Where's Tara?" I heard Mrs Williams utter to me, while proceeding down the stairs.
"In the kitchen."
She took a pause after my response, eyes looking around the living room.
The floors sparkled with a glint, mirroring the reflection of light from any angle.
Yes. Just, yes. It took me two hours getting those floors scrubbed.
Every gratitude must be properly meted to my fingers, which by now have already turned sore, yearning to have a rest.
"I'll be leaving the house now" Mrs Williams announced to me.
"Will be back soon" She added in a low voice.
The day had turned dark already, silence ringing in the environment all around, and still, I wasn't done with my chores.
My gaze turned to the figure of Denna walking into the living room, appearing all ready to leave.
"It's getting late. You should consider taking a rest" she stated, her eyes outlooking the night sky from the windows in the living room.
"No, I'm totally fine" I assured her.
Despite my utterances, it could be noted that I already was exhausted, considering the fall in my tone, and how weak my words were pronounced.
The day's chores were just enough to get my bones screaming for help, begging to be relieved, still, I had no complaints to give.....I begged for this job.
I brought this all on myself.
Denna returned my smile, her eyes softening at once while watching the present state I was in.
I let out a sigh the minute she stepped out of the house, leaving me all alone.
It was just me now, and at once, I resumed my cleaning.
Two hours had passed by, and here I was still fighting with the walls and floors.
The figure of Mrs Williams arriving at the house, only confirmed that I had spent a while there.
An expression of shock got plastered on her face, the instant her eyes rested on me--crouched low to the ground, scrubbing wildly at the floors.
"Why are you still here? It's late already" She yelped, figure moving towards me at once.
I detected the compassion in every of her words as she spoke.
"And why are you doing that? That's the work of Suzy." She added.
"Suzy's down with an illness. So I had to take up her chores" I responded to the lady at once, my fingers gripping tightly to the brush held in my grip.
"But that's too much"
"leave what you're doing and go freshen up. You'll have to stay here for the night" She announced
"It's too late for you to go home now." She said immediately.
"But ma'am" I interjected, my gaze resting on her.
"I have to go see-
"I won't let you go home, Nia" She spoke to me, voice firm.
"It's late already"
"You'll stay in one of the guest rooms." She uttered, turning around, and then ascending the stairs, not waiting for me to give a reply.
Just when I thought I could take my leave, going over to see my mom.
How great this is, me spending another night in the mansion.
Oh, if only our thoughts had a way of appearing in form into our daily lives.

Third person POV...
Cameron stepped out his room, phone in hands, going at whatever his focus was on.
He was just about moving forward, when his gaze rested on the door opposite his room, slightly ajar.
His eyes at once captured the silhouette of a figure present in there.
Whoever it was remained unknown to him, as the room was just too dark.
The moonlight peered in through the window producing little light.
Cameron soon realised the person was a girl, the form of the figure clarifying his thoughts.
His eyes watched her clothes come off, having her body completely naked, leaving a lot for his eyes to behold.
Whoever could she be? He drifted in thoughts, eyes still clinging to her figure.
The only young female in the house was Ashley. And he knew very well that wasn't his sister.
He shouldn't be peeping on a naked girl. He thought to himself, but why then did he remain standing there, unable to avert his gaze.
The moonlight through the window, peered directly on the girl's figure, revealing the corners of her body, with a slim waist complementing it.
The boy was dazed, transfixed to a spot.
He needed to know who she was but he couldn't just barge in on her like that. So he thought.
Or were his parents receiving a visitor?
No.......The girl away appeared familiar to him, still he couldn't figure out whoever the person was.
Back still turned to him, his mind drifted away, and right at that moment, the girl suddenly spun around, the moonlight shining directly on her face.
Their eyes connected in a second, a loud shriek escaping the girl's lips at once.
Tone, high-pitch, face in shock.
In an instant, she hurried out of view, moving away from sight, while Cameron turned his face away immediately, walking away feeling a bit embarrassed.
It was her.
That same girl. He thought.
He went downstairs into the kitchen grabbing a glass of water from the refrigerator, finishing it in one gulp.
Whatever could be the reason for him suddenly feeling hot?
He soon returned into his room, his gaze at once resting on the figure of Savannah laid on his bed.
"Where were you?" The girl questioned, her voice coming out low.
"I woke up to your absence"
She gave a yawn, resting her head on his chest, just as he took his position next to hers.
"I was thirsty"
He had his arms placed around her shoulders, holding her close to him.
The room soon fell silent, neither of the two uttering a word, and all that was to be heard were Savannah's low breaths, as she shut her eyes at once, falling asleep, her arms securely fastened over Cameron.
Meanwhile, the boy could still see that figure, that very figure clouding his vision.
Why?
Just why couldn't he get her out of his thoughts when his own girlfriend was right next to him? He thought to himself.
A weak sigh soon escaped his lips as he held Savannah closer while forcing himself to go to sleep.
Nia's POV...
I shut the door the instant he walked away, the shock still present in my heart.
He was there the whole time, and had seen me naked.
The thought of it was just as embarrassing to me.
How could I have been so stupid not to shut the door properly?
Even now, I could still make out his gaze.
The way he stared, probably thinking I'm stupid for leaving the door open. But it was only a mistake.
I really thought I had shut it properly.
"Oh, could this day get any worse?" I whispered in a low breath, slumping on the bed, mind already getting lost in thoughts.
