Walking into the mansion with happiness I hadn't felt in a long while, taking hold of my whole body.

Mom was better now. The transplant had been carried out successfully, and at this moment, life's just as good.

Stepping into the living room, I found it empty upon my entrance.

Perhaps, the kids had all gone to school.

I hurried into the kitchen, meeting the maids over there, some cooking, others standing by a corner waiting to be ordered.

"Get to work immediately, Nia" Miss Tara yelled at my figure.

"clean and tidy all the rooms"

"Every one of them" She spoke.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Time to begin another round of turmoil, a voice uttered in my head.

Oh, what wonders await you now? I thought.

Following her orders, I wore my apron at once, picking up a broom and duster, and then proceeding out of the kitchen, moving to the rooms to begin cleaning.

I was almost done with cleaning all the rooms, and a lot of time had passed.

The sound of chatters, echoed all around the house, and the figures of the triplets suddenly came into view, ascending the stairs.

They were back from school.

"Hey Nia." David acknowledged my figure as he made his way into the hallway. I was quick to return his greetings with a smile on my face, watching as he hopped away.

Whatever could be the reason for his sudden warmth towards me?

My feet marched on towards the

laundry room to drop the duster and other things I had with me.

Just as I pushed the door to the laundry room open, I was met with a sight before me, one which caused my eyes to broaden, my feet pausing their tracks.

Right in the laundry room, was Logan making out with a girl I'd never seen before.

They didn't even notice me walk in, not until I dropped the duster held in my grip.

You sure have a way of ruining people's make out sessions, now. Don't you. My subconscious teased.

"What are you doing in here?" Logan uttered aloud, voice filled with much shock.

He scratched at his forehead, eyes peering at my figure.

My gaze rested on the girl, whose head was bent low. For some reason she looked quite familiar. My eyes refused letting go of her profile, as I tried figuring out who she was, and why she looked familiar.

"Sorry" I mumbled a quick apology, eyes averting from the duo, while I hurried out of there immediately.

For what reason would they choose the laundry room as a perfect area to make out, and not somewhere else.

A lot for sure, astonished me about this family. With time, I probably could adjust to the environment and the people that came along with it.

Returning into the kitchen to help the maids out, I realized that they were all done with their chores and were leaving at once, which made me the only one left behind.

I took the apron off my body in a hurry, ready to leave.

My hands at once combed through my disheveled hair, trying to put it back in place, while I stepped into the living room.

Coming into my view instantly, was the figure of Cameron, sat over there talking to some guy.

My first instinct was to creep forward, trying to walk past without them taking notice of me, which at this point could be improbable, seeing as to how the living room was just as large enough to have every presence seen.

Someone descended the stairs immediately, the sound of their feet echoing through the room.

Ashley.

She walked down the stairs into the living room, ignoring the presence of Cameron, and just moving over to plant a kiss on the boy sat away.

His hands held onto her waist, gripping her tight, while he returned the kiss.

"Jake"

"Are you even listening to me?" The voice of Cameron rang out at the guy who seemed not to be paying attention whatsoever to him.

"Yeah."

The guy named Jake finally turned to him, taking his eyes off Ashley for just a second.

"Did you forget the plans we made today?" Ashley's voice interrupted.

"Crap!" Jake gave a grunt, eyes peering back into hers

"You didn't forget, did you?" She uttered immediately, her voice already filled with much seriousness.

"Of course not" Jake chuckled, his fingers scratching lightly on his forehead.

"It's just....Cameron and I got stuff to do."

"I'm your girlfriend Jake, you have to make time for me." Ashley spoke at once.

"We haven't spent quality time together for two weeks straight, and now, when it's time for us to hang out, you're making up excuses."

"I'm not making any excuses. We really...."

"Just forget it, I'll go over to Tiana's." She got up at once, figure already storming out of the living room.

"Babe" The voice of Jake called after a furious Ashley, who never stopped to listen to whatever words he had to spew.

"This is what you get for dating my sister." Cameron uttered, without sparing a glance at his friend.

He seemingly was unbothered about the little display between his friend and sister

"Oh c'mon" Jake drawled.

"you know we've got plans." He added.

I was still behind by a corner, trying to figure out how to sneak past the two.

"I really do not support this...You dating my sister." Cameron finally had his gaze fixed on Jake.

"Why?"

"Cause you screw girls up Jake. We both know that" He responded in a firm voice.

"You dated three girls at a go, before Savannah. Let's begin there" Jake responded, relaxing back on the couch, while staring on at his friend

"It was just two. And besides, Mia and I weren't dating. We were just...."

"Friends with benefits." Jake completed with a smirk on his lips.

No reply came from Cameron, Instead, he turned to the T.V fixing his eyes on it.

"I'll be right back." Jake uttered, getting to his feet, and then proceeding out of the living room.

Cameron gave a nod at him, turning his eyes back to the T.V. screen.

Slowly, I advanced towards the door trying to leave the house without him noticing me.

At this point he still hadn't notice a figure hanging by a corner in the room, which was just enough cue for me to make my leave.

"You know,......... you're not really good at sneaking." I heard the only voice I dreaded to hear.

A brief silence filled the air, while I remained frozen to the spot.

Turning around to where the voice came from, I found him staring at me from the couch, eyes peering on at my figure.

Ignoring him was just what was needed. I thought to myself.

I turned around to leave at once, deciding not to heed whatever troubles he brought my way.

"What was the money used for?"

He asked out of nowhere.

Back turned to him, I remained silent, walking out on the question.

He had no right knowing what I used the money for.

After all, he despised me.
