Chapter 6

Later that same night, I was sitting in bed finishing the last of my homework, when my phone begins to ring. I reach over taking it from my bedside table, to discover it was an unknown caller. I stare at it for a second before reluctantly answering, shocked to hear who was on the other end.

"Little Miya, it's Charlie," his voice says, how in the heck did he get my number? Before I could question him my door knocks, Marley, walking straight in.

"Who's that?" He asks, I look to the phone then back at him, I couldn't tell him it was Charlie cause he might find out about the kiss.

"Just Lily, now can I please have a private conversation without you," I say, he gives me a look before closing the door, I wait for a second before talking on the phone once more "how'd you get my number?" I ask, not many people have my number and the people that do wouldn't give it to him.

"I have my ways, now our date is planned for tomorrow I'll be picking you up at seven, got it?" He tells me, I didn't even get a chance to speak in any of that "your silence is telling me yes, see you tomorrow" he says, hanging up the phone.

Okay, that was a quick conversation, but the more pressing matter was how in the heck am I getting this past Marley?!

It was the next night, thankfully Marley would be at his friend's house most of the night, and my mum thought I was having a study date with some kid. I'd just finished getting ready, I'd chosen a dress which I found at the back of my wardrobe. It wasn't formal but it wasn't too informal either, it was perfect for whatever date he was planning on taking me on. I still had no clue what he was planning, but I was actually quite excited, no I can't believe I'm excited to be alone with Charlie Wilson either.

I hadn't told anyone about this, not even Lily! I didn't know what this was or what was gonna happen, so I didn't want the whole world knowing if nothing came or it. That and I don't know how people will react.

I start making my way down the stairs when the front door begins to knock. I take a look at the clock to see he was half an hour early, wow this dude really runs ahead of time. I fully walk down the stairs looking at myself in the mirror, I mean I thought I looked good, let's hope he thinks the same. I sigh walking over to the front door, he stood there in a smart dres' shirt and black jeans.

"Ready?" He smiles, holding his arm out, I smile closing my front door taking his arm.

"Where is it we're going?" I ask, looking over at him where he just sends me a smile.

"Now that would be ruining the surprise" is all he says, whilst opening a car door letting me in.

I climb in thanking him, another man sat in the front seat but he didn't turn to talk. Charlie gets in beside me closing the door, and with that, we were off.
