CHAPTER 3

Naina's POV

I quickly dialled Kabir's no.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

Why the heck is he not answering. Where the hell is if. I ended the call and called him again.

Ring. Ring.

At last, he picked up.

"Yes," he said very casually.

"Why weren't you answering?" I screamed at him and soon realised it. I was embarrassed.

"Well, I was busy. Why did you call? Don't you have any work?" I knew he was just playing around.

"Whatever goes upstairs and help Akii. She is stuck in clothes." I whispered. And then hung up.

"Sorry," I said apologetically

Although he didn't deserve any apologies.

"It's okay. So ill ask my secretory to forward you Jai's report." He said.

"Right" I replied.

"So Dr.Bhardwaj I'll be looking forward to meeting you..... with Jai of course."

It seemed that he forgot to add Jai.

"Right so you can call at the reception and fix an appointment" I smiled.

He stood up to leave.

He buttoned his suit and we shook our hands. His hand were warm and it felt really very nice.

"Okay then I shall take your leave, Dr Naina," he said with a smile.

I can't believe he just smiled. His smile was so mesmerising.

At that, he left.

I sat back in my chair and thought about the meeting with THE Arjun Rai. He was so good looking and hot. Okay, now I know why every girl is are mad behind him. But I am not. He's my client and I will be acting professionally only.

It was 2:30 and I was done with all my counselling sessions and I was now left only with my paperwork and all. But before that, I had to eat my lunch. I'll have it at my canteen only.

I came out of my cabin and saw Pia reading some papers. I went to her.

"Pia what are you doing ?" I asked her.

"Ooh nothing just cleaning," she said with a smile.

"You had your lunch? " I asked

"Ugh nope"

"Mind wanna join me," I asked with a smile.

"Yeah sure"

We both made our way to the canteen area.

We ordered some sandwiches. And waited for our orders.

"Naina I forgot to tell you that Mr Rai called and he has fixed an appointment with you at 4:30. Is that fine with you?" She asked.

"You have already fixed the appointment now what can you change it" I was really pissed off I thought that second half there will be no more counselling session.

"No, it's not like that if you are not ready you can shift the session Mr Rai said himself." She said

What?!?!?!?!?!

I was shocked.

"No it's okay," I said. We ate our lunch in silence and then we went back to work.

I was almost done with my paperwork. Just then my phone started ringing. It was Kabir.

"Hello," I said.

"Hey what are you doing," he asked.

"This is my working hour so obviously I must be working," I said in an annoyed manner.

"Oh right my bad," he said. "Anyways whenever you are coming back just get some sweets from Bengali Sweets" he ordered me.

How dare he ordered me.

"Why anything special?" I said still busy with my work.

"Nah just felt like eating some if have a problem I can get it by myself but then don't expect me to give it to you. Got it" he said.

"Yea-" I was interrupted by a knock on the door. I guess it was Pia so I said come in. But to my surprise, it was Mr Rai. Oh no. I stood up and gestured him and Jai to take a seat.

"Fine Kabir I'll get it. Now bye." I then hung up. I kept my phone on the side and saw Mr Rai and Jai already sitting.

"Hello, doctor sorry for coming-" I cut him before Mr Rai could finish his sentence.

"It's okay Mr Rai no need for apology," I said with a smile.

Arjun's POV

Ah. I just love her smile. I fixed this appointment intentionally because I wanted to see her I don't know why.

"Hi, Jai. How are you?" She asked him with her ironic smile. But Jai remained silent. I tried to make Jai interact with her but she gestured me not to by keeping her hand on my hand which she didn't do intentionally because she was not even looking at me. Her hands were warm and comforting. She then tried again and when she knew nothing would help she realised her hand on my hand. She immediately took her handoff. She looked so cute with blushing cheeks.

"Do you know Arjun I just love chocolates. And I just can't imagine my life without them" she said while looking at Jai. I was confused a little. She continued talking "do you like them?" She made a face to answer her. As in she wanted to say come-on-say-something.

Suddenly Jai started laughing at what I don't know. Naina was also Wait she called me Arjun for the first time and not that Mr. that she used to add. WOW.

"What happen Jai? She asked with a confusing smile on her face. Jai just swayed his head trying to control his laughter why is he doing this. " No no now you have to share it come on teel me" she said in a very sweet way. After a little argue of her with Jai finally said " Doctor do you really think a person like maanu(maternal uncle) would like to eat chocolates he always in a bad mood and chocolates are for people who are always smiling and are happy like you" he said. When did he become so open to a stranger?

"Tell me more about your maanu so how difficult is to live with such a rude person?" She interrogated with a curiosity.

Soon the reality stuck and I cut Jai off in his sentence." Hey, are two trying to make fun of me and that too in front of me."

Jai giggled and Naina tried her best not to laugh.

"Okay so Jai now I'll be calling someone and she will take to the canteen. I am sure you want to eat something" she said while calling someone. Immediately a lady in her late forties came in and took Jai with her.

"So Mr Arjun it would be great if you mail me Jai's previous reports according to that I'll set his counselling sessions." She said.

"Yeah, of course, I'll definitely that. Anything else?" I asked coldly.

"Ummm..... no that's it so I'll call you at your office to let you know about the sessions" she said with a smile.

And then I left the hospital with Jai by my side.
