Chapter 17 Seventeen

The hall was crowded as everyone was both expectant and nervous. The kungfu teacher was a Chinese man who was really scary and most students avoided him and infact the man never appeared in public except on occasions like this. He never failed to show off his students during competitions although they never passed the semi finals which alone was a tough hurdle. Charles bowed to his teacher as he entered the ring with a grin. He raised his hands up and his supporters shouted. Tamiloore walked down the stairs as Semiloore followed her. Tara burst into laughter at the sight of the black belt tied around her waist.

"Is this some kind of joke huh?"

"Wearing a black belt? I thought you would come with some better tricks Tamiloore"

Semiloore grinned at Tamiloore "Take it easy"

Tamiloore winked in reply as she walked towards the reply. A frown greased the teacher's face as Tamiloore bowed in the kungfu way and it was an entirely different way. She entered the ring and smiled at Charles.

The referee blew the whistle as they greeted each other and moved backwards. Charles gave a stance that sent the crowd reeling.

Akin fidgeted were he was.

"Why would you allow such fight in the first place?" He asked Tomiwa the social perfect

The latter frowned "Its not the first and why are you freaking over it?"

"His girlfriend is the one fighting"

"Huh?"

"Shut it!" Akin snapped

Charles attacked first and the hall went silent. His eyes widened when he noticed she dodged it;he didn't even see her dodging it. Tamiloore kept her hands behind her and gave him a small smile. Charles chuckled as he launched at her again and she dodged again. The crowd was surprised and a tiny bit of hope had began to grow within them.

Charles became furious;how was she dodging them all? And he couldn't even see her dodge it! It is a trick,he told himself as he started launching different attacks but Semiloore kept dodging each one with a straight face and her hands at her back. Charles was getting really frustrated as he increased his attacks,Tamiloore kept dodging as usual and everyone watched as her hand came out of nowhere and met his shoulder and in seconds, Charles was on the floor wide eyed. She had blocked his shoulder qi point. Using his left hand to fight would be useless now. He stood up again and trying attacking using his legs and Tamiloore dodged as she pin pointed his legs severally and in seconds he was on the floor again. He tried standing up but he couldn't stand up. He discovered his qi points had been severally attacked and blocked.

"What did you do to me?!" He yelled

"Nothing much,you'll be fine, in four days"

"Four days?!"

"I took into consideration that you were supposed to go for an excursion next week which would be very helpful for your state exam"

Charles stared at her,there was no way on earth she was an ordinary kungfu fighter. His eyes went to the belt on her waist. The belt was no joke at all. He wanted to stand up but he just couldn't. Semiloore broke the tension in the hall as she stood up and started shaking her butt in front of F class students. She stuck her tongue out to them like a child

"It haff pain all of them"

Nathaniel couldn't help laughing as he watched her

"So childish" he said as he stood up

"It used to be she's irritable before" Joshua said with a smirk

Nathaniel scoffed "People change" he said as he walked out of the hall a triumphant smile on his face.

Semiloore mopped Tamiloore's face with the handkerchief.

"Didn't I tell you not to sweat?"

"He was becoming really agitated so he moved really confusing"

"If shift ever saw you fight like that,he'll make you do 100 pressups"

"I know right"

"I didn't know you fight" a voice said as they both turned to the voice.

"Snr Akin"

"You were really cool"

"Really?"

Akin nodded "I even fidgeted at first"

"I understand that part"

"The kungfu club could use people like you"

Tamiloore gave a weary smile which no one caught except Semiloore.

"You are the one representing SS2 right?"

Tamiloore nodded as Akin slipped his hands into his pockets.

"I'll look forward to this debate" he said with a smile as he walked off.

"Like did she learn it or something?"

"It didn't look like she just learnt it in a day or two"

"Those moves were just too accurate"

"I didn't see her hands move the first time"

"Who could have ever guessed that Tamiloore,that ever smiling girl had such an ability"

"Its good to be mysterious, it'll give you an edge over your enemies"

"Semiloore do you have any special ability or talent too?"

Semiloore seemed to think for a moment "I don't think so"

"How long has she been learning marital arts?"

"JSS2"

"Whoa!"

"You never told us"

"You never asked"

Peter sighed "F class is probably in chaos now"

Semiloore laughed out loud

"I should say hi to Tara, don't you think so?"

Everyone burst into laughter

"Don't go around looking for trouble,test is Thursday and Friday" Daniel said

Semiloore nodded "Can't I just tease them a bit? This won't be fun if we act like this nahh" Semiloore whined

"Do your thing"

Semiloore grinned widely before walking to F class. She leaned on the door and stared at the quiet students who looked forlorn.

"Are you guys lost?" She a bringing them out of their thoughts

"What do you want again?"

"What do I want? I don't really know"

"What are you doing here, huh?"

"To make fun of you" Semiloore replied before bursting into laughter

"Its not funny"

"It is" Semiloore said still laughing as other students gathered wearing disgusting looks.

"Can I remind you something?"

"What?"

"You lost! You guys fucking lost! After everything!"

"Yesssss" the students cooed at them

"Officially you guys are losers,not born losers, handmade losers. You guys look so pathetic right now. You get that feeling now? I guessed you guys enjoyed the feeling of being in the high places for too long,try and contain the depressing feelings you know why? They are gonna be there,for a very long time" Semiloore said emphasizing on the "for a very long time"

"Yes!"

"You guys should pay for beating your classmates up"

"I hope you all especially that Tara girl has realized that there's nothing really special about F class"

"Right"

"Its just a class full of stupid people"

"Morons"

"And idiots"

"I hope you relish the feeling of being below the hierarchy"

"You guys are gonna be there for a long time"

Semiloore snickered as she left.

"I'll see how that Tara will throw her weight around now"

"Shouldn't we just remove her as the handball captain?"

"We should have removed her for a long time"

"She ain't any good"

"Right! She can't even play well"

"I can even play better than her"

"I'll see what she'll you to threaten us now that her "F class" has been reached to a bunch of losers"

"Fuck F class"

"Fuck 'em"

"Finally we can breathe peacefully without hearing "you don't want to go against F class","you don't want to do that","you can't do that right?","you wouldn't want your bed and you to be close friends right?" " a girl said in Tara's voice

Everyone around burst into laughter as the girl continued mimicking her

"I was so sick of hearing that"

"Guys shouldn't we just tell her we can't be friends with her anymore?"

"She doesn't need anyone to tell her that,that she can't move with us anymore"

"She sucks"

"She was practically leeches over us"

One of the girls snickered "Like Semiloore said,she should relish that feeling for long"

"Hey Tara I hope you realize now that nobody likes you"

"You are nasty"

"And unkind"

"Guys,we should leave,we've gat tests in 24 hours"

Tara swallowed her saliva as  her so-called friends walked back to their class still insulting her and probably voicing out their greiveances  and whatever they actually thought about her. The first tear rolled down her cheeks as she clenched her fists.

"Semiloore,do you think you'll go scot free after doing this to me?!"

"Guys...."

"Tara,its enough,you can see how everyone loathes us now"

"All thanks to you"

Tara opened her mouth but no words came out. Even her classmates were against her now?
