Chapter 16 Sixteen

"Happy new month!" Semiloore screeched as she entered the bus her skirt unzipped.

Everyone laughed as she made a funny dance.

"Happy new month sir" she said to the driver as they did their special handshake. She wore a big smile as she walked to her seat.

"I wish you all the best in this month"

"Same to you"

"Same o"

Semiloore plopped on her seat beside Peter.

"Happy new month"

"Same to you jare. Where's Maria?"

"We are picking her up later"

"Why?"

"She wasn't done when we got to her house"

Semiloore frowned "That's unusual"

"Either ways" Peter replied shrugging. The bus pulled to a stop and Maria walked in. She was wearing a big smile as she waited at the doorstep.

"Happy new month everyone"

"Happy new month"

"Semiloore and Tamiloore, happy birthday in advance" she screamed with a wide smile and Semiloore opened her mouth.

"Whoa!"

"This is you guys month?"

"Yeah"

"Whoa!"

"In advance babes"

"How did you know?" Semiloore asked as Maria sat down. Maria wore a huge grin

"I checked your fb profile"

"Ohh"

"Don't tell me that's why you didn't enter the bus earlier?"

"Of course you have to be in the bus for it to be a surprise"

Semiloore pursed her lips "What if the bus didn't come back? That would have been a bigger surprise to tell you at school"

Semiloore swallowed her saliva. Why was she blessed with such friends? It was her luck. She smiled as she pulled the shorty into an embrace.

"Thank you"

"What are sisters for?"

"What's your birthday date?" Yemi asked

"16"

"16?"

"Yeah"

"Whoa! That's the Monday after excursion sha"

"What excursion?"

"SSS2 science excursion"

"I didn't hear about that"

"Mr Williams will probably come and announce today"

"Its compulsory too"

"Huh?"

"Yeah it is"

Semiloore turned to Tamiloore who was looking outside the window.

"So our science excursion is next week. Everyone should be prepared for it. We'll pick you up at your house on Monday morning as usual and it would be quite early"

"Can we bring our phones?"

"ICT gadgets are allowed"

"Cameras?"

"You just heard me say ICT gadgets"

Everyone laughed

"Its 100,000 per person"

"Where would we be sleeping?" "Sometimes we could sleep at hostels or the other schools we are friendly with and of course we'll sleep in our mother school Blossom College in Lagos"

"Blog Lag?" Semiloore asked with wide eyes

"Whoa! You've heard of it,you even know the acronym"

Semiloore took a sharp intake of breadth.

"Paying starts today,see you all later"

"Are you okay?"

"Sure"

Tara and her classmates walk inside the class and Semiloore sighs as Tara points to her.

"I Tara on behalf on F class challenge you to a fight in two days time"

Semiloore burst into laughter "Seriously Tara?"

Maria nudged Semiloore with a disturbed face "This is no joke babe"

Tara snickered "You are going to pay,and you be thankful I have you two days to do whatever you like or maybe learn some tricks"

"Can't I reject?"

"I'll fight on her behalf" Tamiloore said using a bored tone as she walked into the class and stood in Tara's front.

"Excuse me?"

"Do you have a problem with that?"

"No"

"Fine"

"Semiloore I never knew you were this heartless,you want to allow your twin sister to get beaten up in your stead"

Semiloore shrugged "Actually I feel for whoever is going to fight against Tam"

Tara laughed "We have all the best fighters please"

"I wasn't taught how to brag where I come from,we were told do your thing"

"Like that even makes any sense"

"Let's meet in the ring,you may leave now"

Tara glanced nervously at Semiloore. Everyone knew although she hated Semiloore, she had a special admiration for Tamiloore.

"Whatever" she said as she left with her classmates.

Semiloore turned to Tamiloore

"Go easy on them,will you?"

"I heard you guys will you staying at Blog? Will you be alright?"

Semiloore laughed a little "I'll be fine"

"Okay I have class now"

Semiloore waved to Tamiloore as she walked out.

"Will she be fine?"

Semiloore turned to Peter and chuckled "Does it look like she won't?"

"I don't know"

"Just wait till then"

"Okay"

Tamiloore peeped as she took a sharp breadth.

"May I come in please?"

"Sure"

Everyone turned to look at whosoever had entered as Tamiloore glanced around.

"Senior please am looking for Snr Akin"

"You are Semiloore or Tamiloore?"

"Tamiloore"

"Guessed as much"

Tamiloore wore a small smile

"James where's Akin?"

"He went to submit his note. What happen?"

"She's asking of him"

"Come jare fine girl"

Everyone laughed as Tamiloore walked towards him.

"Seat down,he'll be here soon"

Tamiloore nodded as she sat down.

"Semiloore bah?"

"Tamiloore"

"Sorry I can't differentiate the two of you"

"Its okay,I know what it feels like"

"Who sent you?"

"Mr Akpan"

"Ohh"

Akin walked into the class

"Hehe,they are looking for you"

"How many people?"

Tamiloore's eyes;it was the guy she called pretty the other day. She bent her head as Akin sat down

"Mr Akpan sent her"

Akin nodded with an expressionless face as he collected the paper Tamiloore stretched to him

"Nigeria is a better country with better leaders,and we are against,SS2 is supporting"

"They have slimmer chances of winning sha"

"Its not like they ever won against us in anything" another chipped in and everyone laughed. Akin raised his head to whoever had brought the letter but the latter was hiding her face

"Excuse me?"

Tamiloore bit her lip as she raised her head. A smile wore its way to Akin's face surprising everyone

"Its you"

"Good afternoon"

Akin laughed softly "Is that why you were hiding your face?"

"I was too forward the other day"

"Nah its fine"

"Either ways I shouldn't have said that aloud"

Akin laughed again "Its okay real lg and its almost period over you should get going"

"Thank you"

Akin's friends wore surprised looks because Tamiloore literally sprinted out of the class.

"You smiled,you laughed"

"Is that new?"

"No,its rare"

"Well...its just over rated"

"No it isn't and we want to hear all the juicy details"

Akin laughed "I have a debate in two weeks"

"You'll be fine even if you start preparing a night before the debate"

"Whoa! That you think this highly of me"

"I meant to say to give that bullshit for an excuse"

Akin scoffed "We have TD" he  said and stood up leaving his dazed friends behind.

Tamiloore smacked herself as she walked to her class. How would she stand across him and debate with him? This is so complicated she told herself as she walked inside her class.

"What's up?"

"Theo,why didn't you tell me it was Snr Akin?"

Theo laughed a little "I wanted to use the element of surprise"

"I was so embarrassed"

"I know that feeling" Theo replied with a small laugh

"And now how am I supposed to stand across him and debate with him huh?"

"Your crush on him that's huge?" Theo asked with wide eyes

"He's just really very pretty"

"Don't worry you'll scale through"

"You sure?"

"Why don't you talk to Semiloore about it?"

"Speaking of that only science students are allowed for that excursion?"

"Why is it called a science excursion then?"

Tamiloore sighed "Right"

"Are you really going to fight with Charles?"

"Charles?"

"He's the one fighting on behalf of F"

Tamiloore shrugged in reply

"He's one of the best fighters in the kungfu club and he's quite deadly,I don't mean he's going to kill you because of course the school doesn't allow that but you and your bed could be very close friends for like a week"

"So?"

"Why don't you even think this over? We could talk to Semiloore and make her apologize to Tara and she'll withdraw the challenge" Theo glanced at everyone in the class who was listening already "We all right behind you"

"Yeah"

"We'll support you to the end"

Tamiloore stood up and turned to her classmates

"You guys trust me that much?"

"Of course we do"

"Just trust me on this okay? I'll be fine"

"Tamiloore" someone else called out

"We've seen this happen since SS1 its more dangerous than you think"

"Things change right?"

"If anything is going to change that's if Semiloore apologizes"

"Am sure you all know Semiloore better,you all know she won't apologize"

"If you persuade she will"

"Yeah,she listens to you"

"Aren't you guys sick of them?"

"Who?"

"F class,I mean aren't you guys sick of having to respect people you know quite well can't compare to you but to save yourself you have to bend to them? Guys,in the short time I've been here I admire every single of you even the ones in R class. I think we are all beautiful people"

"Awwwn....."

"Am blushing"

"So give me a chance to end this shit,am really sick of it"

"Either ways,we are right behind you"

Tamiloore grinned widely as she high-fived her classmates who were around her.
