Chapter 3

Of course, Gabby is her business partner, after all, he loves sweets. He always tastes the pastries she makes because to him, they taste good.

Bite Me! was stationed near their subdivision. She has not yet separated her residence even though she can now rent her own apartment because she does not want to be away from her parents. Here she is on Bite Me! pouring all her time. When her parents are looking for her, they can easily locate her in the kitchen at the far-end part of Bite Me!, busy baking and designing cakes.

Bite Me is also huge compared to its former size. Because the Bite Me! near their subdivision is the main branch of her pastry shop, here she also assumes her small office which is almost just near the kitchen or pantry. If she’s not at the kitchen baking cakes, she’s at the mini-office computing the necessary expenses and profits.

She took off her apron and hung it up. She immediately went to the dining area of Bite Me! where their customers can eat and “hang out”. She immediately saw Gabby so she approached him. Gabby stood up and gestured to the chair next to him. She immediately sat there. Laia approached them and laid on the table what Gabby had probably ordered at the counter.

"How are Kimmy's children?" she asked the man.

“They’re on my office. Want to adopt one? ”

She frowned. “Sorry, Eros. I am so busy and I can no longer take care of a cat. ”

“It’s okay. I will just find an adoptee for Kimmy's children. ”

Kimmy turned out to be the guard cat in the condominium unit. That guard recently took Kimmy to Gabby's veterinary house but the guard did not return for the cat and he disappeared like a bubble.

Gabby's behavior is not bad but he loves animals.

"Do you have something to do later?" he suddenly questioned.

She shook her head. "You know I have no other life than this in Bite Me!"

He nodded. She was not sure but there seemed to be a strange twinkle in his eye. "Good."

"Good?"

“Let’s go out later. Instead of being buried here in your work or in your apartment. ”

If only he knew she has a date the next day. But she did not want to let Gabby know that because he would definitely object or become her bodyguard on the day of her date. He has a protective effect when it comes to her. It seems that he immediately felt heartache when she dated. Even though she doesn’t have an older brother, she feels like she had in Gabby’s persona because of him being over-protective of her.

So maybe she became socially awkward because of this guy. Hmm. Ah, yes. This is one of the reasons she became socially awkward.

"Where are you taking me?"

"At Camp Speed." He looks like a child who wants to impress someone. She wanted to pinch his cheeks because well, he was cute.
