Perrie woke up with a slight headache early in the morning. The breeze of the air flying through the curtains, allowing the daggers of the burning rays of the sunshine to sneak into the room. But despite the fact that the room was burning up, Perrie felt her whole body shivering.

Maybe because today is her and Jade's third anniversary. Perrie frowned at the thought of that one. She hated the fact that she was still in love with Jade, the woman who had broken so many promises. She hated the fact that after all these months of attempting to move on from the ombré-haired woman, after all the successful dates that she had with different people these couple of weeks, she had still chosen Jade at the end of the day.

Perrie walked up to the kitchen, needing a drink for the thought of her recent break-up made her dehydrated already. Perrie was done pouring herself a glass of water when her phone lights up on the counter and she reached for it.

Leigh: I'm going to a party. Wanna come?

Perrie stared at it for a few moments, before typing back a quick reply.

      Sure.

Perrie thought that this 'partying' would be a good idea considering there will be lots of hot women here in Pub. She thought it would be another opportunity to find another date since clubs aren't genuinely the best place to find an ideal woman. And seeing that the pub was packed by lots of pretty ladies, Perrie has no doubt she'll take a woman home.

Perrie's eyes darted towards every corner of this room, going around in circles until they find someone interesting to stare at. She made sure she looked at every single face in this room so she wouldn't miss an opportunity to have someone to bring along with her in her apartment. But a tap on the shoulder is what stopped her from doing so as she turns her head to meet Leigh with her usual partying attire: plain black shirt and ripped skinny jeans.

"Thank god you came along. It's kinda hard to drag your ass along with me nowadays, you know." Leigh exclaimed, throwing her hands up carelessly only to recieve a giggle from Perrie in return.

"Yeah. Sorry 'bout that." Perrie replied, running a hand through her blonde waves to rest them on her shoulder.

"So, what changed your mind? I'm actually surprised you'd suddenly reply with a 'sure' considering you have always been the indolent kind of Perrie Edwards ever since the—" Leigh stopped herself once she sees Perrie's eyes glaring at her and she knew she was beginning to cross the line already. She took a moment before she speaks up again, "Right. Still not moved on yet, I see."

"When did I ever moved on, Leigh?"

"Well then, get your ass up back in the market because girl I am taking lots of women with me to go shopping for the single Perrie Edwards."

Perrie fell into peals of laughter at this one. She thanks the gods up above her that she has Leigh, the afro girl who never failed to entertain the blonde with her humorous jokes because there are times like this Perrie wished she would just end her life if it wasn't for Leigh.

"I'm too lazy." Perrie joked. "Drag me down instead."

"Is that a One Direction reference?"

"No, it's a Perrie Edwards reference." Perrie replied sarcastically and let out a giggle.

Soon, both women danced the night away. Then they sat down on the barstools and ordered their drinks, seeing that dancing on the floor got them both out of breath. Leigh and Perrie talked for an hour before Leigh excused herself to go to the bathroom and "get the bad stuffs away", which obviously means that Leigh would either take a poo or vomit in the toilet bowl. Perrie makes a mental note to hold her breath if ever the smell of Leigh's vomit lingers in the bathroom so she wouldn't gag.

Perrie swirled the wine around her glass, entertained by what she's doing as she peers down at it. Then she took a sip of the red wine and smiled in satisfaction when she felt the alcoholic drink burning up inside the pit of her stomach. She was getting a little tipsy but she knew this doesn't compare to the drunkenness that she had experienced before.

Perrie held her gaze at the blood-colored liquid, swirling around her glass repeatedly. That was until she felt someone's presence beside her.

"Perrie?"

Perrie was a hundred percent sure that this familiar voice belongs to Jade. It has to be, or she will lose her mind just from the small voices living inside her head. At a drop of a hat, Perrie's head snapped quickly to her right and her pupils dilated as she sees Jade sitting down on the barstool beside her.

It was like a staring contest when the two Geordies continued to hold their surprised gazes at each other. Perrie never really anticipated that Jade would come in Leigh's party. But then again, Perrie met Jade through Leigh, who happens to be Jade's officemate.

"Jade...what are you doing here?" Perrie asks, awkwardly scratching the back of her neck as she looks away from the intense stare of the brunette.

"I hope you don't forget that I'm still Leigh's officemate and a fellow friend of her sister." Jade answers, smiling lightly at Perrie who was still flustered. As Perrie took the opportunity to look away and peer down at her wine, Jade took the opportunity to take note of every facial feature in Perrie's pale face.

Perrie felt Jade's stare burning through her and she was already on the verge of producing sweat throughout her skin. That's how nervous Jade made her feel, and as much as Perrie hated it, it's the truth.

"I don't mind, actually." was all Perrie replied before she finished every drop of liquid in her glass. She took a brief glance at Jade then quickly looked away. "Leigh would be here any minute. I suggest you leave now."

"Do you want me to leave?"

"What is that supposed to mean?"

Jade giggled and shrugged her shoulders. Somehow the blonde's inability of reading between the lines seemed to satisfy her considering it was a proof that Perrie still hasn't changed these past few years.

"It's not much of an ambiguous question. I mean I was just asking if you want me to leave..."

"You didn't ask me that when you left me for your career..." Perrie countered, rolling her eyes. And this took Jade by surprise as her eyes widened and she leaned her elbow on the chair's armrest.

Jade suddenly felt her guilt splashing as she remembers the day she left her loved one behind just for her selfish reasons. She remembered the huge amount of tears that were building up in her eyes as she holds them back only to prove herself that she can make it on her own. She remembered every teardrop that stained the red cheeks of her lover and how she wished she could kiss them away.

"Perrie, I thought you'd be over this." Jade says, tilting her head as she leans her cheek upon her hand. Her look of sadness evident in her face as she peers at Perrie, who seemed to be lowkey fuming already. "It's been a year already. Don't tell me that you haven't moved on from what I did until now..."

Perrie let out a humorless laugh whilst shaking her head. She honestly couldn't believe that Jade actually told her that. How could she move on from what Jade did? How could she accept the fact that to Jade, career is her priority while love is just a background? How could she accept that when all those years, she prioritized Jade?

"How can I move on from that, Jade? Tell me, how can I move on from someone who thinks that love is just another background story in her book while her career is her main theme?"

"You should know that I loved you just as much as I loved my job!"

Perrie snorted, "Yeah, right. Said the girl who left her girlfriend for a promotion in her career!"

Jade frustratedly ran a hand through her hair as she glared at the blonde. It is pretty clear that these two Geordies are apoplectic with anger now and nothing could stop them from fuming at one another. They both were shouting their lungs out for crying out loud! Perrie was frustrated because of how narcissistic Jade has been in their relaionship while Jade was frustrated because Perrie was the one being narcissistic between the two of them.

Jade spoke angrily as she leans forward, "Nothing's changed at all. You're still the same Perrie. Very unsupportive, very narcissistic—"

Slap. A slap as loud as the thunder roaring from the outside is all that echoed in the pub, despite the deafening beats of the music. Perrie peered at Jade with darkened orbs. She didn't know what possessed her to slap the brunette but she was glad that she did it. She barely had a chance to think of her actions. The only thought running through her head was getting Jade to shut up.

She jabbed her index finger at her own chest harshly as she holds her deadly gaze at the brunette. "Me? Narcissistic? You must be talking to yourself, Jade, because I supported you even when it hurts! I was there in your christmas party, do you remember? I was there with you because I knew that this would make you happy even when I know that my boss would get mad at me! Even when I had other plans to do that same night!"

"But I didn't even force you to come, Perrie! I didn't even ask if your would like to go because I know that your boss must be pretty upset at you! I'm sorry if I became your number one priority while you only became my second! It's not my fault you loved me too much to even risk your career!"

Boom. Hearing those harsh words, it slapped Perrie in the face one by one. A tear managed to escape from her eyes and was soon followed by hundreds falling down her cheeks continuously. Perrie opened her mouth then abruptly closed it, unsure of what to say because she knows that Jade was right.

Perrie loved Jade so much that she would risk her career for the brunette. That she was actually willing to let go of every achievement she's been working her ass off just to live a life with Jade. Perrie loved Jade so much that she didn't care about all the negative side-effects that could possibly happen to their relationship.

Perrie's teeth are sinking in her bottom lip for she didn't want to let out a sob. She glared at Jade, whose facial expression was now showing how extremely regretful she's become and Perrie shook her head in disappointment.

"I'm glad we broke up. Or else I'd be moping around thinking about how stupid I am to love a person whose priority is her career and her own future." Perrie said before she whirled on her heel and stormed off, leaving a regretful Jade behind.
