When I saw Liam not far away with that girl in his arms, I wished I were blind!

Just earlier, I had asked him if he could accompany me to a prenatal checkup that afternoon.

He seemed troubled and guilty, claiming he was tied up with work.

He hugged me, apologized, and promised to make it up to me.

Though I felt a bit let down, I didn't say much more, showing understanding for his situation.

But was this his "urgent work"?

Accompanying another woman to see a doctor?

Neglecting his pregnant wife!

If I hadn't retained a shred of reason, I might have caused a scene right there. But I restrained myself, knowing that would look terrible.

When I saw the girl's face, I was shocked. She quite resembled me!

Liam, had you really found a stand-in for me? I couldn't believe it.

A wave of sadness swept over me. We had been married for just two years, and our child was only two months old.

He had cheated on me!

No matter what, I still had to go through with the necessary checkups.

I suppressed my emotions, trying to calm myself down.

I turned and went to complete the procedures.
