Chapter 7
“She is our daughter.” Takuya looked at the couple who asked.
“Oh… she doesn’t like either of you.” The woman said, trying to see if there were any similarities in some way between the couple and the child that they were holding.
“Hmph, she is still our daughter. It does not matter if she looks like us or not.” Daxt did not want the couple to start talking and gossiping around as if one of them had an affair.
“O-Of course.” The woman did not know what else to say after since she could see from Daxt that he wasn’t going to let her off easy if she started to talk.
“Anyways, this is our son.” The man showed them their son, seeing that he was just a typical toddler in their arms.
‘He seems average. Nothing unique or special. Likely a beta if you were to ask me to take a guess.’ Ruwa took a good look at their son, seeing that there wasn’t really anything to like about him until he was much older.
“Oh, how old is he?” Takuya started to talk now, seeing that Daxt would not be the best at talking when it came to other children.
“He is 3 years old this month. What about yours?” The woman looked from her son to Ruwa.
‘How old am I to be exact?’ Ruwa then thought, knowing for sure that she was an infant, but how many months was she at most.
“She is about eight months old right now. Still quite young.” Takuya said with no hesitation to the question which left Ruwa in a bit of shock.
‘How can you know!?’ Looking at him, she did not know if he really was the one who gave birth to her or not.
“She is still very young and small for her age.”
Letting the adults all talk, Ruwa just gave up on their conversation while she looked elsewhere to the other people around. ‘What am I really doing here?’ Sighing, she felt as though time was going too slow. Daxt had thought that her sigh was a yawn, making him put her back into her stroller where she decided to accept wherever she went. ‘Dad is my favorite right now, so might as well let him put me wherever he feels like would be best for me.’ After the long talk, Ruwa did not know when the couple had left, but she was looking through the plastic like glass that allowed her to see what was going on from the inside of her stroller.
“She isn’t asleep yet. I’m surprised.” Reis said in the most serious and monotone attitude which made them all hold a different thought.
‘You don’t look surprised at all.’ The thought went through all of their heads.
“Where did you both head off to?” Takuya decided to ask the two that had gone on by themselves.
“Nowhere.” Reis walked ahead towards the direction where their home was.
“So dishonest.” Takuya smiled, looking over to Flavian after to see some hint of red on his face. ‘Something must have happened.’ He giggled inside.
‘These people really know how to be lovey-dovey against one another.’ Yawning for real this time, she rubbed her eyes and fell asleep soon after.
Walking home, they had decided to let Flavian sleep over at their home that day knowing about his current circumstances that would make it hard for him to really stay at his other relatives home. Hearing a loud bang that night, it had woken Ruwa up to remind her about her past life. “Uuuwwwuuu!!!” Ruwa started to cry and her parents had woken up from her cries. There was a baby monitor in the room which would allow her parents to hear her if she was in need of something.
“Ruwa, are you okay? What’s wrong?” Takuya carried her into his arms, trying his best to soothe her.
Ruwa kept crying with the sound of the banging occurring once more. “It seems as though young teenagers think that it is fun to start some fireworks at this time of night.” Daxt figured that it was the young teenagers that wanted to have fun at this time while messing with the people.
“That’s not good. Ruwa doesn’t seem to like it one bit.” Takuya kept trying to calm her down, but only got more cries from her.
With the cries from Ruwa getting louder from the ongoing fireworks that continued to be used outside. It had finally stopped after fifteen minutes with Reis going over to Ruwa’s bedroom to see his parents taking care of Ruwa. “Better put her to sleep before she wakes up the entire neighborhood. Those teenagers have been handled, so be sure that she calms down.” Reis yawned, going back into his room to sleep.
Both Daxt and Takuya knew that their son must have known the teenagers or went out by himself to ‘handle’ them for their immature behaviors. Ruwa had finally calmed down after being taken a warm bath and tucked into bed where she slept in between her dad and papa in their bed. Holding onto both of their hands, she felt safer by holding their warm hands.

“You could have told them that those teenagers were part of my relatives.” Flavian told Reis who went into his bedroom.
“Why do I need to tell them about what goes on in your life?” Reis sat next to Flavian, looking at him with a look that said that he did not care.
“It will be dangerous if you keep letting this go as it is. Do you not understand my family?” Flavian argued.
“They are not your family if they are trying to hurt you.” Reis could see that Flavian was more worried about his family being hurt. “Don’t worry about them. I won’t let them hurt you or my family. Besides, it's not hard to get rid of annoying people like them.” Reis held onto Flavian’s chin, making him look him in the eyes. “I never let anyone who hurts my family get away. You are also my family.” Reis told him.
Flavain had gasped once he felt their lips touch. Reis had gone back to bed soon after, leaving them both to rest since they had school the next day.
