Chapter 3

'Dear lessees,

This is to inform you that the lessor has decided to demolish this building and build a shopping centre.

Therefore, it will be highly appreciated if you could move out within 3 weeks of time.

We are extremely sorry for asking you to do so in such a short notice.

If I say I was perplexed, then that would be an understatement. How the hell would I find a good apartment, sign a lease and move all of my stuff in 3 weeks time? I thought that after graduation I'll move to a nice penthouse but even that would have taken at least a month or two. Ah for the love of booze!

"Don't worry babe, we'll figure it out" Caleb said comfortingly but even then I was tense, I just gave him a forced smile which didn't quite reach my eyes and slid inside the apartment.

"Caleb can you order a take in or pizza please, till I shower?" I mumbled loud enough for Caleb to hear it. "Yeah I'll do that, just don't use all the hot water!" He shouted from the living room. I went in my bathroom which is thankfully attached to my bedroom; I pulled all my dirty clothes off and tossed them in the laundry box and went under the shower.

The luke warm water cascading down helped me relax and think straight. I closed my eyes and let the water do it's magic on me. For about 10 minutes straight I stood unmoving under the shower then washed my self with my favourite cucumber body wash. After being cleaned up I dressed for bed, black joggers and Caleb's green sweatshirt.

By the time I came to the living room, Caleb was already munching pizza. "What the hell man? you started without me??" I grumbled angrily, he looked at me so smugly that it made me almost wanna punch that perfect face.

The key word being ALMOST.

"Aah...sorry? But hey if you wouldn't have taken so long the pizza would still be here. The mouse in my stomach couldn't wait so long!!" I marched towards him as he was TRYING to convince me and sat beside me but he scooted away as soon as I sat, I just rolled my eyes at him. "More like a lion! How the hell do you eat so much but never gain weight?? I will always be jealous of your genes!"

He replied with a yeah whatever and strode towards the guest room which is filled with his stuff, form toiletries to clothes literally everything!

There were two pizza boxes and 4 chicken wings boxes, I reached out to the one that had pepperoni written on the box and saw there were only 3 pieces left there should be 6 in it! I reached out to Caleb's pineapple pizza.

My eyes almost popped out of my sockets, " CALEB DREW KINGS you're in a big trouble young man, why the hell did you eat my pizza when you already finished yours?" I shouted feeling my hunger becoming hangry.

I head a high pitched shrike followed by a thud voice and insensible cursing. I ignored his cursing and switched on Netflix on my laptop and started watching my favourite show while eating my pizza and chicken wings. No use getting angry at that dunce in all honesty, he'll do whatever he likes without an ounce of mercy and i am in all honesty not in the mood to get angrier than i already am. Caleb joined me after 10 mins, he got a blanket for us and we cuddled bit that doesn't mean I forgive him for eating my pizza!!

He reached out for the wings but I moved it away..This continued for a couple more minutes, he retreated his hands and puffed out a breath, "let me have some wings na!!" He whined and pouted like a 5 year old. "Nope! You ain't getting any, you ate my pizza so I'll eat you share of wings!! Tit for tat" I exclaimed happily eating my, oops his wings. He just posted even further if that's even possible and gave me puppy dog eyes, shit he knows my melting point. I have him a box of wings that I hid behind the pillow, his eyes were shining so bring at the sight of untouched food that I almost laughed at his face. Oh my poor caleb, what would I do without you??

After watching two more episodes of the show we called it a night and went to our respective rooms. I feel into a peaceful sleep as soon as my body hit the soft mattress. Not bothering with all the shit storm I was hit with today.
