Chapter 2

Wild but intelligent, Leah runs through the forest in her wolf form, feeling completely free. The young brown wolf with white spots on her fur enters the forest with ease, knowing every corner.

She stops halfway to her destination to look up at the sky. That night, the stars shine much brighter than usual.

She keeps running until she finally reaches her favorite hiding place. The village is quite far from her hiding place, which is why they never find her there. Leah returns to her human form to observe the pack.

However, she is there for one reason only: the alpha of that pack. When she first transformed into a wolf, she was confused about what she was. But she soon understood that she was a werewolf, and that she wasn't the only one.

"There he is," she murmurs, hiding behind several bushes.

She never got close enough to be detected by the other wolves, but she constantly visited that pack because they always had plenty of food. She had a hard time hunting because the wolves had taken almost all the animals in the forest.

That night, although she was very hungry, she couldn't take her eyes off one man in particular. He seemed to be the leader of the pack, though she wasn't entirely sure because she knew little about her own kind.

She smiled slightly.

That man caught her attention. She didn't understand why, but she wanted him.

After snooping around the pack for a while, she stole some food and returned to the forest, taking refuge in her safe place. Although she visited the pack constantly, she had no desire to live with them or be part of their group.

She was born free.

She transformed back into a wolf and ran into the forest, satisfied with what she had stolen from that place.

Suddenly, she heard a commotion behind her. She stopped and looked back, squinting as she watched the torches move from place to place.

"Why are they making such a fuss?" she wondered. She wanted to go back but decided it was better not to get involved.

Then, she sensed that many wolves were approaching her, which scared her. Leah runs away, suspecting that the wolves have realized they have been robbed.

She runs as fast as she can, but it's clear that she's just a cub. Even though she knows the forest inside and out, there are too many wolves for her to face alone. She does not stop running, though, to save herself from being caught.

They would probably kill her for stealing. It wouldn't matter to them that she was one of their own. After all, she was a savage that everyone would despise.
