Chapter 10

The man blinked and shook his head slightly.

Their food order has arrived. When she looked at Caleb's sirloin steak order, she suddenly regretted why she did not order it that way.

He probably noticed her gaze on his order. "You like?" its offer.

Hala! Caleb's behavior is not really bad!

Patty nodded one after another. Caleb sliced the steak. He stabbed her with a punch and then handed it to her. He will eat it as soon as you swallow it. On its own.

What. The. Fuck.

Patty's ears and whole face smoked, especially since she heard Azi laugh out loud. When he looked at Caleb, his eyebrows rose slightly as he savored the food.

He was left behind and then turned to his own food. But later, someone dropped a steak on his plate.

"Stop pouting," Caleb ordered.

Patty smiled. "Thanks, sungit."

It just made him cry.

SOMETIMES, Patty wondered why people have different life span here on earth. Why do some people live a long time while others also live fast. He wondered why God decided that a person's life should be this long? Why is it so long?

But later on, Patty realized that everything He did have reasons. It might be hard to understand at first, it might be hard to see at first, but everything He did was only to teach us a lesson.

As Patty looked at the dark sky, she could not help but marvel at the sparkling dots in it. Like glitters scattered stars. This is rare in Manila.

When he got up, Patty lay down on the hammock on the balcony. The cradle is parallel to the floor as if it were made of nets. He pretended to be lying on the sea but he could not read. Apart from the hammock there are also two wooden chairs and a small table on the side. It was past three in the morning but his spirit was very much alive. He could not sleep. Maybe he lives.

Patty froze when her cellphone rang. He immediately answered the call when his brother's name was read on the screen. He was very careful because when he let go of the cellphone, it fell into the sea.

He heard her sigh. “I was right. You are still awake. ”

“Just living, Kuya. You, why are you still awake? ”

“Don’t mind me. How are you? How’s your stay there? Is everything okay? ”

“Yeah. You should see the place, Kuya Pace. El Corazon’s beach is so pretty. I’ll send you a photo of the sunrise later. ”

Patty heard her older brother sigh from the other line. Even though he could not see, he knew it was rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Until when are you going to stay there, Patricia?"

"Until… until it feels like I paid the debt I have to them."

"There's no debt to pay, Patricia!"

She closes her eyes. "Kuya Pace… I won't be here right now if not for them."
