Memories And Lies
Memories and Lies
"Kylan..." She muttered, struggling to get up. She finally made him to him but he was almost unconscious as he laid on the floor, blood rushing out of his ears and nose.
"Kylan!" She called, tapping him severally.
"Kylan!!!!"
**
"Get rid of him!" He suddenly heard and he gasped slowly.
"Uncle.." Kylan muttered slowly staring at Hardin in disbelieve as he muttered those words.
Under the pretention of scouting the area, Hardin had led him right into the forest and had ganged up against him with the rogue wolves.
Kylan smirked slowly, it was suddenly like he had expected it. Trust no one,it was his father's favorite words and now Kylan's words.
His eyes reddened in anger and his clothes tore as he tried to change to his wolf, turning back into human immediately.
Hardin laughed crazily, widening his arms as he walked towards Kylan.
"Did you think I'll be stupid enough to let you change to your wolf?" He said.
"Huh?!!!" He screamed angrily, his hands wrapping around Kylan's neck in a jiffy as he took him up, throwing him against a tree.
Kylan coughed repeatedly, staring at Hardin with red angry eyes. His eyes always turned red when he was angry and this was just a clip of it.
"Wolfsbane..." he muttered slowly as he came to the realization that Hardin had poisoned him with wolfsbane to weaken his wolf.
"Enough to make your wolf disappear forever. You just ingested more than anyone who died from it has... ever." Hardin smirked.
"Why'd you want to kill me?" Kylan asked, coughing out blood slowly.
"Must you really know?" Hardin asked and Kylan scoffed, blood staining his red lips.
"I don't think so. You really think I'll die from this. You should know, I'm stronger than most." He smirked.
"The pride! Kill him;!!!" Hardin screamed and immediately the numerous rogues went after Kylan. Kylan immediately went into a race into the deep forests. Everyone knew the deep forests was the only barrier between the two rival packs but this was for his safety and he ran madly into the thick bushes to protect himself.
~
"Aarghghhhhhhhhh?!!" He groaned slowly as he writhed on the ground, coughing out blood immediately. He breathed out heavily, his body weak from all the injuries.
The wolves surrounded him, ready to tear him apart and take his flesh. The moment he felt the teeth of the first wolf in his skin, he let out a yelp. The shuffles of the leaves immediately alerted him that someone was coming and he screamed again.
In the distance, he could see the slender legs that walked into the forest and almost immediately, the wolves ran off, leaving him weak.
He coughed again as he tried to get up to his feet all to no avail, he was nothing without his wolf. He was just a guy, just a normal guy. He fell back hardly to the ground and a sharp groan escaped from his lips in pain.
And that was when she came rushing towards him, her light in hand. The light hit Kylan's face sharply and he immediately rushed up, hitting the phone out of her hand. His eyes suddenly turned red again and he clenched his fists, grabbing her by the neck almost immediately.
"I think he's awake."
"He's looks weak."
"You said he was bleeding from his eyes and ears right?"
The words flooded Kylan's ear and he gasped slowly, opening his eyes sharply.
"He's awake!" Leviana's sharp voice came through and she was the first person he saw when he opened his eyes. She was peering over him like a little child, a lot of worry written all over her face.
Who was she to be concerned when she was also groaning?
"Are you okay?" She said, stretching her hands to him.
"I'm fine." He replied curtly as he refused her help to stand up and stood up himself.
Leviana pursed her lips slowly as she retracted her hands behind her back.
"Are you fine?" The principal asked lowly, her face also worried.
"I'm good."
"You were bleeding by the ears and eyes, Kylan. If it weren't for Leviana who broke the rules again, you might have been dead!" The principal said.
"What exactly is going on?" She asked again.
Kylan stared at the principal, then at Leviana, at the nurse and then at Noel who stood afar, his eyes keenly on Kylan. Kylan smirked slowly knowing he had gotten his memories back and definitely can't reveal it. His wolf was not yet back and telling the truth would give this pack the upper hand over his.
"How can I get my wolf back?" He asked slowly, staring at the nurse.
"You don't expect me to tell you that, right? Especially when you have no idea of where you are from? And we are still suspicious of your movement? How did you end up in the forest last night?" The nurse asked numerous questions.
"If I don't get my wolf to awaken, I might die." He said slowly.
"Have you recovered your memories?" Leviana asked slowly.
"I went to the forest to see if I can recover anything and yes....I did..." He said, staring right at Leviana. She looked at him too, her hands shaking slowly behind her back. She couldn't hide the fact that she felt so scared when she saw him lying that way on the floor. She had run home and asked for Noel's help, explaining everything to him in detail.
"You are wrong, Leviana." He said slowly, his voice coarse.
"What?" She raised a brow.
"And you are right, Noel!" He said, directing his gaze to her brother now.
"I'm a rogue wolf!" He said.
Noel immediately dragged Leviana away from Kylan's side immediately and.the principal and nurse moved back. Kylan could see the nurse grab an syringe from her table quickly.
"Are you going to inject me with that?" He asked slowly, watching everyone's movement. The look of Leviana's face was blank and he was almost sure she didn't believe him.
"I'm going to make your wolf dormant." The nurse retorted immediately.
"It's dormant already. I was poisoned with wolfsbane just because I tried to leave the rogue pack and they also tried to take my life." It was smooth, his lies and he said it without any emotions on his face.
"You are lying!" Leviana took a step closer but Noel dragged her back sharply.
"Stay here, Leviana!" He growled, his wolf's voice coming out.
"But Noel, he's..."
"Why are you so sure? Everyone else is scared of me, why are you so sure that I can't harm you? Do you think you are invisible?" Kylan interrupted her sharply and Leviana gasped.
"Is it a crime to trust someone?" She asked slowly, her eyes welling.
"It's a crime to trust. Especially trusting a stranger...who doesn't even know anything about himself." Kylan sighed.
"I'll leave. If I don't, the rogue pack can search for me again and that will put the pack into danger, I don't want that." He said and stared at Leviana who was looking at him with sad eyes.
"I can't let the pack of the person who saved me be in danger." He muttered slowly and she scoffed lightly, looking away.
"So tell me what I can do to protect myself. I'm going to leave your pack but at least I'll need to live, don't I? I need to awaken my wolf." He said.
"The actions of a rogue wolf is in their blood!" The nurse shot.
"You can never change." She muttered.
"He's not a rogue!" Leviana fired.
"Leviana!!!" Noel retorted and she scoffed angrily.
The principal sighed staring at the nurse.
"Help him."
"But...."
"Just do it!!! You promise to leave afterwards. If rogues attack the pack, it would be on you. The blood of the innocent would be on you." She said and left immediately.
The nurse sighed as she walked towards her drawer, picking a small bottle from one of the shelves.
"The wolfsbane ingested is a lot. You have a strong wolf else you would be dead by now and more...this is the moon petal." She said and stretched it towards him, Kylan was about to collect it when she wrapped her hands over it tightly and passed it to Noel.
"He's going to give it to you when you get out of the pack safely."
"I'll follow him!" Leviana said adamantly.
"Leviana."
"Don't!" She said harshly and Noel sighed.
****
Leviana didn't say a word till they got to the border of the pack, it wasn't the deep forest this time around but the main border where everyone passed through.
"Don't ever come back to this pack!" Noel said as he threw the antidote to Kylan who caught it mid air.
" I won't." He said with a short smile and turned, walking away.
"You!!" Leviana suddenly said and he stopped.
"You lied, right? You are not a rogue, right?" She muttered.
"Are you afraid you'll be punished at school, no, I deceived you too. Because I lost my memories." He said without looking back.
"I don't believe you, you are not a rogue. I'll never believe that!!" She shot.
"Believe what you want, Leviana." He said and walked further again.
"Your eyes were in my dreams!!!" She screamed, gasping heavily for air as tears rushed out of her eyes.
"Your eyes.... they were in my dreams..." She muttered again and Kylan sighed, biting his lips slowly.
"You.. I was so curious about you. I wanted to know you...but" She licked her lips slowly, fixing her hands in her hair.
"If you claim you a rogue...you are going to leave...and we won't ever see each other again." She muttered. Kylan bowed his head slowly and turned to look at her.
"That's fine, Leviana. I don't want to cross paths with you either." He said and opened the antidote, emptying the bottle. Noel moved in front of Leviana immediately as he heard Kylan's bones crack in a way he never heard before. His eyes rapidly changed from red to blue and red again and ran towards her with great speed.
Noel tried to hit him by stepping in, but Kylan was fast enough to move without being notice and Leviana could only feel the air move around her and then he dissappeared totally.
She scoffed as tears rushed out of her eyes in great torrents.
"Leviana..." Noel muttered, sighing slowly as he took out her handkerchief to clean her tears but something else fell out of her pocket. It was a chain, with the letter 'K.'
"That little brat!" Noel scoffed and smiled shortly, handing it over to Leviana.
