Coming home

"Why didn't you call?" Isabella shot as she rushed to meet the lady who just came out from the crowd. She was holding a light banner in her hand that read 'Where's this lady?'

"Ouchhh. I'm hurt. If you have nothing nice to say, you should have just written Jasmine." The lady muttered under her breath and removed her eyeglasses, shaking her full, long black hair.

Isabella took a deep breath and stared boringly at Jasmine.

"Okay, your beauty is blinding." She suddenly said, closing her eyes in a flicking manner. Jasmine's lips broke into a smile and she suddenly jumped.

"I missed you, Miss Miller." She jumped on Isabella, her best friend who staggered backwards due to her weight.

Jasmine Vance. The first and only daughter of Sterling Vance, richest CEO in the whole of Italy. Technically, she was the only child, heir to all of his properties. She was one of the best designers ever known, though she was still schooling, for nothing really.

"Gosh, the weather's so nice. It's been long since I came back to Italy." She said and Isabella laughed funnily.

"Bestie, is there any weather in the world you haven't experienced?" She said and Jasmine laughed. It was true. Jasmine had visited so many countries around the globe. She changed her school every year ever since she entered highschool till her university days. She was always a transfer student for reasons best know to her father.

"I can't wait to get home, Isabella. My father would be so shocked to see me." She squealed.

"I bet he would. But that is if he doesn't get mad. Your father doesn't want you home." Isabella replied.

"I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going to miss my mother's remembrance today." Jasmine shrugged. Whether her father wanted her home or not, he couldn't send her away. Afterall, she was his only child.

"Hey, have you eaten yet? I'm so hungry waiting all day for you. If you had just told your dad, I'm pretty sure you would have arrived with a private jet." Isabella commented, surfing through the road crazily.

"Isabella, I just got back. Do you want me dead already?" Jasmine shot as she held her seatbelt tightly, trying to keep her head straight.

Entering into the large five star restaurant, Jasmine and Isabella took their seats and ordered what they wanted to eat.

"So what's your plan, leaving the country two days later or this time a week?" Isabella asked.

"Well, I'm planning to stay forever. I'm going to convince my dad." Jasmine said. She had her mind made up already. Nothing was going to change it this time, not even her father.

"Would your father agree? I doubt that. The most you have stayed in this country is three weeks and that's just like half of your yearly holidays." Isabella commented, while slicing a piece of her steak.

"Well, this time, it's going to be longer. I'm also planning on making Marco propose to me quickly. We can get married then." Jasmine mouthed, a smile spreading on her rosy cheeks. Her father's money was definitely showing in her, the way she carried herself with composure and grace, showed she was from a very rich family.

Isabella took a deep breath and bit her lips slowly as she listened to Jasmine talking on and on about Marco, her boyfriend. She smiled sometimes in between the conversations and usually gave short comments.

After ending their meal, Isabella offered to take Jasmine for a shopping spree for a welcoming party.

"Okay, but I really need to go home." Jasmine laughed.

"I bet if you go home right now, you would be on the next plane back to Mexico." Isabella rolled her eyes.

"Your mom's memorial is usually in the night, right? You can go home by seven." She added.

"But I need to rest." Jasmine whined, feeling jetlagged seriously. Isabella gave her puppy eyes, she had actually been postponing her shopping till when Jasmine came back and she was also very sure Jasmine would be sent back by the next morning, so this was her only way to spend time with her best friend.

"Come on, let's go." She muttered and dragged Jasmine along.

"Okay.....how does this look?" Jasmine muttered as she picked a red gown.

"Oh my God. Jasmine, you look fantastic. Like always you choose the best." Isabella said.

"I'm a fashion designer, girl. I don't even know why you brought me to this mall in the first place." She sighed.

"Well, I'm going to a party next week and I need something to wear." Isabella said.

"Let me design your cloth, please. Please?" Jasmine pouted.

"Of course you are going to make it. I have the best designer in the world as my best friend, who else would make my dress?" Isabella smiled.

"Thank you, babes. Everyone is definitely going to be staring at you at the party. By the way, am I not invited?" Jasmine smirked.

"Get your dad to agree to you staying first." Isabella said with a deadpan face and Jasmine rolled her eyes.

"Okay ma'am." She said mockingly and they both laughed.

"I need to use the restroom." She suddenly muttered and rushed to the restroom quickly.

Isabella sighed slowly and brought her phone from her bag.

"Are you coming for the party? Please do. I love you." The short message read and she bit her lips.

"What the hell are you doing, Marco?" She muttered.

Jasmine sighed as she brought out her lipstick, reapplying it again on her lips.

"Gosh, I look pretty as ever." She muttered, staring at her beautiful face in the mirror. The door suddenly opened, making her drop her lipstick in fear.

As she picked it up, she turned to face the person who had made that rude entry. Her eyes met slowly with an emotionless face and she moved back slowly, wondering how he got so close to her.

"Hey, the male restroom is opposite." She scoffed. He was handsome but with this deadly look, he could pass for Lucifer.

"Are you deaf? Get out of this place. The sign read 'Ladies', didn't you see it?" She shot angrily, annoyed already by the way he kept on staring at her.

"Aah, I know I look beautiful...." She flushed as red color filled her cheeks.

"...but you shouldn't enter the women's room like that. That's disrespectful and you can be labelled for a pervert!" She regained her composure immediately.

"Are you calling me a pervert right now?" His husky voice suddenly ran shivers down her spine.
