CHAPTER 5

What is she going to do now,she's already lost her other job as a part time desk clerk her only income now is the restaurant and she's not nearly making enough to keep them going.Javier was right with what money will she take him to court even Chris is struggling to keep afloat now won't be the right time to burden him with her problems.

"I can hear you thinking from out here."She heard Javier's voice say and almost jumped out of her skin.What was he still doing here she thought,a second later his tall frame filled her bedroom door and she slowly stepped back."You and I both know you don't have any other option,anyway you haven't read the whole contract maybe if you did then you wouldn't be going on like this."

"There's no need for me to do that I've already made up my mind.I....will....not...sign."She said slowly so he could hear and understand the words that are coming out of her mouth.

"How much do you want?"He asked and reached inside his jacket's inner pocket and retrieve his check book."Name it.I'll give you what ever you want."

Angelica gaped at him,the audacity of the man he just barges in here and thinks he can buy her son."You should be ashamed of yourself coming in here and thinking you can buy my son.Not everything in this world is about money and some things cannot be bought."

"Everything in this world has a price,including you.Let's face it women like you would do anything for money.You proved that by betraying me."He lifted an eyebrow.

She's had enough,she can't do this anymore.How dare he degrade her like this and while their son is sleeping right there,she lunged forward and lifted up her hand his remark had stung and how can he think that of her.He easily caught her hand that was about to make impact with his beautifully sculpted face and twisted it behind her back,pushing her up against his solid hard chest,she gasped at the impact.

"Don't ever think of doing something so insanely ridiculous standing here and pretending that you all innocent and noble won't work on me.I was an idiot once to fall for your innocent look and smile but I can assure you I don't make the same mistake twice."

His gripped tightened on her wrist and she winced at the pain.She can see the hatred in his eyes and she cannot believe that all of it was directed at her,her eyes welled up with tears and she closed them to prevent her tears from falling she will not break down and show him how much pain he's bringing her."Let go."She whispered.

"Is that the reason why you marrying that fool,so he can safe you from this hell that you've put yourself in.I actually feel sorry for him because he has no idea what type of a woman you really are.And one can clearly see how he looks at you with love in his eyes."He clicked his tongue in disgust."It's so sad you feel nothing for the poor guy,you just using him for your selfish deeds."

She shook her head."That's not true.You know nothing about me,so don't you dare stand there and judge me.I've worked hard all my life."

"And I just wonder how hard you really had to work."

She shut her eyes tighter but it was of no use,the tears has already escaped from her closed lashes and were now streaming down her cheeks.

She tried to wrestle herself free from his painful grip but it was of no use,he just increased his pressure and she bit down on her bottom lip to stop herself from crying out.She can't believe that this was the man she had given herself to once,so openly and wholeheartedly a man she had once loved.Even now just standing so close to him and feeling the warmth of his big solid body had her wanting him,her breast were crushed against his muscular chest with her nipples being tight and hard seeking the attention his sensual mouth can provide.Despite the hatred he has for her along with the pain he was inflicting on her,her body still yearns for him even though he might never be hers again.She felt his breath on her ear as he spoke and a chill ran through her body,sending all her pheromones on high alert and it wasn't his words but his presence this close to her that invoked it.

"I'm done playing nice.The ball is in your hands either sign those papers or prepare yourself for what is about to come next."He let her go so fast that she stumbled and had to steady herself with Lucio's crib."Three days that's all I'm giving you,after that all bets are off.I'm leaving for Madrid at the end of the week and I guarantee you I will not leave without my son."Seconds later she heard the door open and shut,silently she cried in her heart.

She gently massaged her wrist and saw it has turned red where he had held her,he has left his mark she thought to herself.The big question was what was she going to do now,she cannot give him her pride and joy,her only reason for living and breathing.There has to be a way,there just has to.Lucio woke up and he was his usual self,she fed him and played with him,he seemed happy.His father's presence has made the difference.

Later that day she received another brown envelope and knew exactly where it was coming from.When her bundle was playing quietly on the floor she opened and read it.Compared to the first one that she had flung at him earlier on this one wasn't any different,except for the fact if she wishes to see her son than an apartment under Lucio's name will be set up for her when ever she wishes to see him,until the age of eighteen and in the event that she decides to marry all contact between them will be terminated and she'll never see her son again.The last stipulation had her head spinning.If she wanted to see Lucio on a full time basis and want him to remain in her custody then she has to marry Javier and be his mistress and not his actual wife,and obey him and not question his authority.

If she agrees than she'll have to sign a confidential agreement that states she must not disclose any information about him,his family or company or their relationship,if she dishonors the agreement than legal action will be taken and Lucio will no longer be in her care,and this contract was only valid for three days afterwards all necessary action will be pursed to get full custody of Lucio Vàzquez.Angelica threw the contract on the coffee table and stood up,she doesn't have much of an option here Javier wins either way.If she refuse he takes him away,if she agrees,she'll only see her son on a weekly basis and if she wants to see him on a full time basis then she has to marry his father,a man who hates her and probably can't stand the sight of her.She stared down at Lucio,what should I do one thing was certain she cannot lose her precious gem.

Her brother stopped by that evening and demanded answers about this mysterious man."He's your nephew's father Chris."She clarified.

"What did he want?I hope you told him where to get off."

If only one can tell Javier where to get off."He has a right to see his son Christian even I cannot take that away from him."
