Chapter 5: You Cheated!

The house that Louis gave them was located in a mid-range neighborhood which wasn't particularly good but had a very peaceful environment surrounded by green trees along with an artificial lake that looked crystal clear.

After arriving home, Janet ate a little something and then went to the living room bathroom to take a shower, preparing to rest for a while. She put on comfortable pajamas and came out of the bathroom, only to bump into a pair of deep, cold eyes.

It was Louis!

"Mr. Longan, what are you doing here?" Janet was stunned and instinctively took half a step back. "How did you get the key?"

Louis's gaze was dark and he stared at Janet intently. He stepped towards her.

"What? I gave you this house so I can't come in?"

"I didn't mean it like that..." Janet explained. "It's just...unexpected..."

Since their divorce they had no reason to see each other again.

"Is there still another man living here?" Louis walked three or four steps towards Janet until she was backed up against the wall. His gaze was fierce as he stared at her accusingly. "You're cheating on me!"

As soon as he entered the house, he saw a man's coat draped over the sofa and half-worn men's slippers on the shoe rack - clearly indicating that there were frequent male visitors.

Janet felt confused and her mind went blank; all she could think about was Louis's fiancée.

"Aren't you getting married?" Janet asked him incredulously. "Then why are you looking for me? Aren't you afraid your fiancée will misunderstand?"

But in Louis’s ears these words had taken on an entirely different meaning - one that confirmed his suspicions about her involvement with another man.

Louis's deep black eyes suddenly turned crimson, and he pressed Janet against the wall with one hand.

"How long have you been with him?" Louis asked, his voice sounding a bit fierce. "Has he ever touched you?"

"What are you doing?" Janet panicked and struggled, "Mr. Longan, you can't do this now, you..."

"You still have a fiancée."

Before she could say this sentence, Louis covered her mouth deeply.

Louis bullied her fiercely.

"Janet, you betrayed me," Louis roared through gritted teeth. "You have violated our agreement."

Janet cried while vigorously shaking his head.

Louis tightly covered her lips and hated the woman in front of him.

Janet even couldn't hold on until the end and fainted.

In a daze, I felt like I was placed on a soft bed. Janet struggled to open his eyes and found that he was actually being held tightly by Louis in his sister's room.

"Not..."

She doesn't want to dirty her younger sister's room.

"Go out..."

Ke Longting held her down firmly and had her once again.

On the bedside table sat a beautifully crafted photo frame, containing a solo shot of Sean. Louis caught sight of the picture and completely lost control, consumed by anger. Janet closed her eyes, half asleep and half awake, struggling to make it through. When Louis got out of bed and picked up the photo frame from the nightstand, he looked down at it with lowered eyes.

"Janet," he said slowly. "If I remember correctly, this apartment was a gift from me to you. Since you stood me up today, I'll have to take back my gift." He squeezed the offending photograph tightly in his hand before continuing.

"As soon as possible," he added coldly while throwing down the photo frame with force onto the ground where it shattered into pieces; its contents flying out before being crushed underfoot by Louis's shoe.

"I'll give you two days to move out," he said menacingly while grinding his heel into what remained of that photograph. "Otherwise...you won't ever have another chance to set foot here again."
