Chapter 2: Liu Fu Juan (2)

Feeling such pain for the first time. Her mother had warned her about such weapon that would be used against them. Liu Fu Juan panted feeling the arrow lunged into her arm. They were running as the trail of blood was unavoidable to see. The hunters followed the blood. The sky grew dark with rain clouds as thunder started to rumble loudly.

"Why didn't you say you saw those cubs!? You didn't tell us you greedy bastard!" The hunters were arguing to one another.

"Hey! I saw them so back off!" The one who had shot Liu Fu Juan was angrily greedy to his fellow comrades not wanting them to know for his own gains.

Liu Fu Juan stumbled hitting the ground as they still needed to cross the river that led to the waterfall. "Come on! We can do it!" Liu Feng said to his little sister in pain. He was supporting her as the hunters had reached them.

"There they are! Get them! We'll get a good price!" One said as the other two were ready to catch them putting their arrows away.

"Come here kitty." One said as Liu Feng and Peng Wei had pushed Liu Fu Juan the closest to the other side of the river to escape. The pathway between the river were rocks large enough to walk on but started to break apart. The river was getting higher by the second from the rain falling down. The thunder had struck near her as she screeched. Slipping on the rock as her claws were barely holding her.

Liu Feng and Peng Wei we're caught as they tried fighting the hunters who had tied them with ropes. Liu Fu Juan had slipped off the rock as the waves were pushing her. She had flung onto the weak branch that was breaking. "Help! Somebody!" She called out nearly off the edge of the waterfall.

"Leave the one drowning! We only have two to spare!" One hunter said. Just then they heard roaring as the hunters turned to see four adult felines charging at them. Su Rong, Liu Gang, and Peng Lim had struck the three hunters as Xue Liang ripped the rope off the two cubs.

"Fu Juan!!!" Once Liu Feng was out of the rope. He hurriedly rushed to the water as his mother caught him from not going.

"You stay! I'll get your sister!" Xue Liang said as she ran to the water. Jumping in the river she hurried to her daughter, the waves pushing her. Reaching Liu Fu Juan, she had her daughter climb her back as she tightly gripped onto her mother's back.

Xue Liang swam to reach the shore as she paused seeing on the other side there was another a little boy who she had saw with familiar features.

Liu Fu Juan saw the same thing also. The little boy had eyes of revenge and anger and stood along side a few men and a woman covering her face with a hat having a sheet to cover. They all had an amulet with the symbol of a sun.

The little boy rose his hand as he snapped his fingers together. The few men took out their arrows as they aimed at Xue Liang. Feeling the arrow pierce her, she roared as Liu Gang turned to see his mate shot.

Feeling anger rise within him. The group who shot her had escaped fast. Alarming the felines as they all started searching. Xue Liang fell back as they hadn't quite reached out of the river. Xue Liang fell to the side still off the edge of the shore of the river but Liu Fu Juan fell back into the river. "No! Mother!" Liu Fu Juan said as Liu Gang tried to reach for his daughter as it was too late.

She had slipped off into the waterfall, feeling her body fall down seeing her fathers look as he roared louder. The felines were all afraid now as they knew their emperor was angered. The felines had made it and saw their emperor there with the aura of anger which had them all surrendered easily before their emperor. "Find my daughter quickly! Also those who had shot my wife!" He ordered to all of the felines who bowed rushing into the forest. They were not going to stop due to their dedication to their Emperor.

Liu Fu Juan was down at the waterfall. She felt the harsh waves of water pushing her around as she tried reaching for anything to hold onto. The current was too fast as she lost conscious only seeing the rushing water pushing her further and further away. Her form changing to human as she drifted with the water.

"Wake up Fu Juan." Hearing a soothing woman's voice. Liu Fu Juan opened her eyes, looking around she couldn't describe it.

"Who's calling me?" Liu Fu Juan got up looking around as she didn't know where she was. Just then a womanly figure appeared before her. She blinked multiple times confused about what was going on. She had last remembered her being pulled by the water current. "Who are you?"

"Don't be afraid child?" She rubbed Liu Fu Juan's head looking down to her. "I'm one of the ancestors from the Feline Tribe." The woman spoke to her.

"The Feline tribe?" Liu Fu Juan never heard from her parents as it had been long destroyed.

"Your parents have never told you nor have their parents but we used to be one of humanity's protectors to keep it all balanced. Then we were wiped out by one individual who saw us as a disturbance. He is a Demon who saw power with black magic. You must find the Celestials. Only they can defeat the Demon lurking to rule them. Find them and warn them at all cost that he is back." The woman told her as everything went flashing bright.
