Chapter 6 Generous Birthday Party

Inside the Imperial Chamber, Royal Court Club

Looking at the neon scene on the street outside, Maximilian stood in front of the large floor to ceiling window with his hands behind his back.

Behind him, Wilfred Collins, bowing, looked very humble.

“What can I do for you, young master?" Wilfred inquired.

"On the 23rd day next month, it's my daughter's birthday. Make a reservation in Caesar Palace Hotel, and I want to hold a banquet with three hundred tables for the gentry in the city."

A light shone in Maximilian's eyes. He was envisioning Victoria’s response when he fulfilled what he had promised her.

This time, he wanted everyone in H City to know that Sissi was his daughter. And Victoria was his wife.

She was the wife of the young master of the Dragon Sect.

And the future Dragon Queen of the Dragon Sect.

When Wilfred heard this, he shuddered slightly and said, "Are you sure you want to do this now, young master?"

Maximilian looked back at Wilfred and frowned as he asked, "Is it too difficult for you?"

Wilfred giggled, "It is just a piece of cake for the Dragon Sect. But the problem is Dragon Queen now. If you act in such a high-profile manner, I’m afraid it will cause displeasure to the Dragon Queen."

The current wife of Dragon Emperor was a ruthlessness woman. Back then, when the young master and his mother were driven out of the Dragon Sect, even Dragon Emperor didn't dare to say anything, which was enough to show how mighty Dragon Queen was.

Maximilian fell into silence, and then said, "I won't care about this or change my requirements. It is up to you. If she has any discontent with me because of this, then I won't inherit the Dragon Sect, let alone do anything for it."

After saying that, Maximilian waved his hand and left the Royal Court Club.

Watching Maximilian leave, Wilfred bowed respectfully. It seemed that the young master had changed and become stronger.

Wilfred’s black gold cane stroke on the ground, and then there came a tall and sexy woman swaying her hip in the doorway.

Wearing a fiery red dress slit to the thighs, the woman was extremely charming with her hair coiled. She could definitely win a man's soul with a single smile.

"Mr. Collins." The woman spoke up with her sweet and sexy voice.

Wilfred ordered, "Do as the young master wishes."

"Yes Sir."

The woman turned around and left the chamber.

The following day, a piece of big news circulated in H City. Everyone in H City was talking about it.

Last night, a mysteriously wealthy man spent a fortune to make a reservation in the Caesar Palace for the whole day on 23rd next month!

As a six-star hotel, Caesar Palace was the most luxurious hotel in H City!

It would cost at least a million dollars to book the suite for a night!

The mysterious tycoon had booked the Caesars Palace for a whole day, which would cost at least 50 million dollars according to preliminary estimation! And that was just the cost of the venue!

After then, there was another piece of news. The mysterious tycoon who had ordered Caesars Palace was doing so for the birthday celebration for his three-year-old daughter.

With this news, everyone in H City was in shock once again! He was just way too rich!

Who was the guy? How could he spend so much money for his daughter's birthday?

For a while, the whole H City was talking about it.

And naturally, there was discussion about it in the Griffith Company.

Early in the morning, the employees in the company started a heated discussion.

"Did you guys hear about it? One mysterious rich man has made a reservation in Caesar Palace Hotel for 50 million dollars!"

"I've known about it already. It’s said that it’s for his daughter's birthday celebration. For such a wealthy man, his daughter must live a life like a real princess!"

"Many people are looking forward to that day, 23rd next month. I heard that guests for three hundred tables will be invited to the birthday banquet. So if you do the math, you know it costs at least hundreds of millions dollars!"

A group of gossiping employees haven't stopped discussing it all morning.

"If I remember correctly, it seems that the birthday of Victoria’s daughter is also on 23rd, right?" Someone mentioned suddenly.

All of a sudden, all the employees fell into silence.

"No way, could it be possible that it's Victoria who made the reservation in the Caesar Palace?"

"Of course not! You know Victoria’s position in the Griffith Family. I might believe you if you say the rich man is Samuel."

"Cut the crap. I've heard that the person who ordered Caesar Palace this time is not from the Griffith Family."

Just as everyone was talking about it, Victoria walked into the company and passed through the office.

She wore slim white shirt and black professional sheath skirt, with black stockings wrapped around her straight, slender legs. And she put on light makeup and wore a ponytail, which made her look capable and brisk.

However, as soon as she entered the office, she felt the strange looks from the employees.

Victoria had heard about the news as well. Being aware of the eyes staring at her, she walked into her office quickly.

Once she got into the office, she closed the door, as if she was fleeing from a famine-stricken area. Then she leaned her back against the door, feeling helpless.

She wanted to know who, exactly, ordered Caesars Palace on 23rd next month and made her a target of public discussion again.

Victoria was quite angry. Was the person deliberately putting her into trouble?

It was on 23rd next month.

After working for a while, Franklin stepped in uninvited and sat on the sofa directly, staring at Victoria, who was burying her head in her work.

Then he sneered, "Victoria, I guess you've heard the news that someone ordered the entire Caesar Palace for his daughter's birthday on 23rd next month."

Victoria didn't pay any attention to Franklin and continued typing on the keyboard.

Franklin chuckled and said, "Oh, Someone’s daughter will throw a birthday party at Caesar Palace on 23rd next month, while others’ daughter is stuck in the hospital bed on the same day. What an interesting contrast!”

Suddenly, Victoria's tapping on the keyboard stopped. She said to Franklin seriously, "If you have nothing important to say, please leave now!"

Franklin shrugged his shoulders, as if he was saying what you can do to me.

"Well, are you pissed off? But who's to blame for that? As the father of a child, someone else celebrate their daughter's birthday with the whole city taking part in, but what about Maximilian? He doesn't even have the qualifications to celebrate Sissi's birthday properly, am I right?"

"Get out!" Victoria's face eventually turned sour completely, and then she pointed at the door, shouting.

Franklin got up, and announced, "Victoria, the day after tomorrow is the mid-year gathering of the Griffith Group. I will definitely drive you out of the company this time!"

Then Franklin put his hands into his trouser pockets and left, humming a tune.

After Franklin left, tears fell off Victoria's swollen eyes. Wiping the tears and taking a couple of deep breaths, Victoria continued to bury her head in the program.

But the more she did it, the more agitated she became!

For four years, she could put up with people laughing at her, but couldn't stand the ridicule to her daughter Sissi.

Finally, after smashing the keyboard, she buried her head on the desk and huffed for a while. Then she raised her weeping face, taking out her phone and sent a short message to Maximilian,

"Maximilian, where are you? I want to see you! Now!"

Sissy had become the laughing stock in others’ eyes again because of her father Maximilian.

However, she was only three years old.

It was still Maximilian’s working hour at the moment. When he had just sent off a few rich ladies finish their beauty programs, he received the text message from Victoria. For a moment, he seemed to be quite surprised to see the message.

Who had made his wife angry again?

"I am not off work yet. What's wrong with you? I'll be right over for you." Maximilian answered, and after speaking to the foreman Bonnie, Maximilian got on his electric bike and rushed to the Griffith Group.

Just when Maximilian was about to park his electric bike downstairs, someone walked towards him with a puff of coldness.

Pop! With red eyes, Victoria slapped on Maximilian’s face, and then said with sobbing, "It's all because of you. Why are you Sissi's father? Why are you my husband?"

Faced with Victoria's hysteria, Maximilian froze on the spot.

"Victoria, what's going on?" Maximilian asked.

Wiping tears on her face, Victoria stared coldly at Maximilian and asked, "Don't you know that yet? Do you know what day the 23rd next month is?"

"I know. It’s Sissy's birthday." Maximilian replied.

"Do you know what happened in H City today? Everyone was laughing at me and Sissy. On that very day, someone made a reservation in Caesar Palace for the whole day, while you, Maximilian, cannot evem celebrate Sissy's birthday openly!"

Victoria couldn't stand it anymore, and then she squatted, crying, "Sissi is only three years old, and why she has to endure the criticism and cold eyes like this?"

Maximilian stood motionless, fixing his eyes on Victoria, and then he understood everything.

He clenched his fist and said, "Victoria, do you know who made the reservation in Caesar Palace?"

Victoria raised her eyebrows, got up and glanced at Maximilian coldly, saying, "Who? Is that you?"
