Chapter 4: Heartbroken

“Ahhhhhh!!!”

She screamed as she looked at the red stain on the part of the bed where she was lying. This was when it registered to her brain that she was not dreaming, she had lost her virginity to a stranger she didn't know.

It was then she remembered to look around her.

When she saw the luxurious suite, she was shocked, because this was not the same room her fiancé got her on their arrival to the hotel.

After realizing that no one was in the room, she struggled to get up with the help of the bed frame. After getting up, she left for the bathroom.

On looking at her reflection on the bathroom mirror, her mouth was wide agape, because she was ravaged to the extent that all her body was covered in purplish and red bite marks.

She cursed, “Can’t he be gentler, even though he tasted me for free.” After gathering her thoughts, she took a shower and cleaned her body.

After her shower, she saw a bathrobe in the bathroom, she took it and covered her nakedness with it. When she went out of the bathroom, she saw that everywhere was littered with pieces of clothing, that was when she understood how intense last night was.

“What am I going to wear”, she muttered to herself, before she shifted her gaze to the side of the bed, where she saw that a cloth was there, neatly ironed and folded, she reached out to it and also saw that underwear are also there, she muttered, “at least he has a conscience.”

She hurriedly put on the clothes and rushed out of the room. She must find her fiancé before he starts looking for her. On reaching her room, she saw that the door was not closed.

She opened the door slightly but what she saw shocked her. Her fiancé was entangled with her step-sister on the same bed she was in yesterday.

Not knowing that someone was listening to their conversation, the people on the bed started talking, "How did my sister escape last night?” said Mira. “I also don’t know, we both saw the man we sent to ravish her lying on the ground covered in blood, so how would I know?” Daniel groaned.

Lina was shocked by what she heard. “How could this be possible, my fiancé and my sister set me up but why?”

That was when she recalled what she heard last night, even though she was in a daze, she still understood what was going on. Upon recalling all that her sister said, she wanted to ask why they were doing this. She then heard Daniel say, “If not because of her mother’s legacy that will be passed to me after our wedding as promised, did you think I want to be with a whore like Lina.”

Lina was shocked by what she heard because she didn’t remember hearing this yesterday. “Ahh,” she laughed mockingly before she left the door without letting them notice.

After she left, she took a taxi and left for her mom’s house which was known to both her and her mother only, even though her father doesn’t know about this place.

This is always her hideout, she always comes here when she is sad. When she reached, she entered the room and slid down on the door after closing it. She buried her head in her lap and started crying.

She cried hard until she had no tears left. After calming down, she decided to talk to someone she could confide in, which was her best friend, Rihanna.

That was when she noticed that her phone was not with her. She doesn’t even know where it was. She has forgotten that today is her big day.

She has been daydreaming about how her married life will be with her soon-to-be husband Daniel.

“Ahhh,” she laughed mockingly as she remembered her fiancé's betrayal. After making a decision not to cry over spilled milk, she stood up and started making a plan of how to deal with the adulterous couple.

She looked up at the wall clock hanging on the wall and smiled when she saw that there was still time. She has more than two hours before the wedding.

She stood up and went to her room, she went to her bed and lifted the mattress, on seeing the safe that was under the bed, she smiled and entered the password into it.

With a click, the safe opens, and the documents inside can be seen.

There was a diary in it which her mother left for her. She was told not to open it until she was twenty-three years old. Even though she is always curious about the content, she still respects her mother’s wishes.

Seeing the documents that are the reason Daniel is pretending to love her, her gaze turned cold as she looked at the document, she said to herself, “Since you guys want this, you can try getting it yourselves.”

She returned the documents after saying that. Seeing that there was still time, she decided to attend the wedding as planned.

On the other side of the city, a man could be seen sitting in his office room with his cold back view.

He can be seen flipping through some documents. After he finished reading the documents, his face was cold.

“Lucas”, he called out. “Yes, boss?” “Are you sure there is no mistake with this document, and you did not miss out on any information?”

“Yes boss,” Lucas replied as he looked at the man.

“You can go,” the man said.

It was like Lucas had been released from a battlefield as he rushed out without looking back. He patted his chest after coming out of the room. “That’s scary,” he said to himself.
