Chapter 3. She harasses her in the bathroom

"Violeta, what's wrong?" The girl with black hair looks at her hands and shows them to her nervous friend.

"Your brother is going to the disco, Lucia."

"Yes, I know, it's annoying, but it's either that or not going."

"But you know what we did. How can you be so calm?"

The blonde shrugs as she looks at her distressed friend, then shakes her head and sits down next to her.

"Don't worry. My brother is old. He'll probably go to the disco for a while, meet a woman there, and leave to have sex with her. He won't be paying attention to us."

Violeta looks at her friend with big eyes. She wonders if that was her brother's kind of man. Is he a womanizer? Then she looks back at her hands. But if that was him, why was she so anxious to know that he would be at the disco?

"Don't worry, everything is going to be fine. Everything will be fine, and we'll have an amazing time, I promise!" Her friend gets up to open her closet and look inside. "First, we'll find something to wear.

"Lucia."

"No complaints, we have to look beautiful tonight."

"But you're the birthday girl, not me."

"When you turned 18, your boring uncle didn't celebrate it. My mom had to bake you a cake the next day because he wouldn't even let you go out that day. He's a jerk."

Violeta doesn't say anything as her friend talks without stopping. She watches her take clothes out of her closet and throw them on the floor. Violeta notices how many clothes she has and wonders how she got so many.

She didn't have many clothes, even though her parents were rich. However, her uncle was in charge of her father's money and businesses, so she didn't have many expenses.

"You're an adult now, you're old enough to take possession of everything that belongs to you, my friend. Your uncle doesn't need to continue managing your money."

Lucia turns around, holding a beautiful dress, and shows it to Violeta. She smiles affectionately at her.

"This dress will suit you!"

"If you say so."

"Of course it will, you'll wear it."

Violeta nods her head in agreement, then gets up and takes it. Lucia was a good friend. She was always there for her. The young woman leaves her clothes on the bed and goes to the balcony while Lucia keeps searching through her things.

"You might find someone better, and you'll end up with a handsome boyfriend and stop feeling like you have to stay single.

"I don't want a boyfriend!" she says as she looks out onto the balcony, but at that moment, Lucia's brother comes out into the garden. The young woman sees him light a cigarette and then sit down on the bench.

"But you need one, Violeta. It would give you the courage to tell your uncle to go away."

By then, the young woman wasn't listening to her friend. She was secretly watching her brother, who didn't notice her looking at him. Noa turns his face and looks up at her.

Violeta jumps when she sees that he is still looking at her. She feels her heart beating faster, and she doesn't know why she gets nervous when he looks at her.

Noa takes a drag on his cigarette while watching Violeta look at him. He looks closely at her and sees that, even though she is just a girl, she is beautiful and calm.

He takes another drag on his cigarette and keeps looking at the young girl until she can't take it anymore and hides back inside her sister's room. Noa smiles and shakes his head. He throws the cigarette away and stubs it out with his shoe before standing up.

[...]

By the time it got dark, Noa was already tired of waiting. The two of them had taken too long to come out.

"What could they be doing?" She leans back against the car and crosses her arms as she watches the entrance to the house.

Suddenly, the door opens, and she looks at it. Her sister is the first to come out, and she gives her a slight smile. But then her smile fades when she sees Violeta come out wearing a dress that leaves her speechless.

The CEO frowns and stands up straight when he sees her curvy figure, her curly hair tied back into a high ponytail, and the high heels that make Violeta look much taller and more perfect.

He blinks a few times when she looks up and sees her heavy makeup. Her eyes stand out much more than before, but that's okay. How could she think of going to the club like that? He clenches his jaw when Lucia gets to the car first.

"Did you wait a long time? We were as fast as we could be, but it took a long time to style Violeta's hair. But we're ready now. See you later, brother." He doesn't say anything as he looks at his sister, who started all of this.

"Are you planning on going dressed like that?"

"Of course I am. What did you think? Let's go, we're running late and everyone is waiting for us."

Lucia is the first to get in the car, followed by Violeta, who looks at Noa. He frowns at her, and she widens her eyes slightly. She quickly gets into the car and leaves him. He slams the damn door.

"Shit..."

He drives without saying anything while he hears his sister and Violeta talking on their cell phones. At that moment, he wonders if she had a boyfriend waiting for her at the nightclub. She was dressed so beautifully. Was that possible?

"Noa, can you hurry up? Everyone is waiting for us."

"You shouldn't have chosen the nightclub, and it's my car."

Lucia rolls her eyes and keeps checking her cell phone. Violeta puts her phone away and looks out the window at the city of Boston. She lets out a slight sigh that Noa sees in the rearview mirror. He looks at her, and suddenly she looks back at him.

The CEO stares at her, but she quickly looks away.

A few minutes later, Noa's car arrives at the nightclub. When he sees all the activity, he remembers his youth. Lucia and her friend go in front, and he follows behind them. At the entrance, the two girls are stopped, and he smiles and then crosses his arms.

He hoped they wouldn't let them in.

"Okay, he'll pay," Noah says, but he looks upset when he realizes they have to pay to get in, and he starts to frown. "You have to pay, it's your birthday present," the blonde says, looking at him over her shoulder.

"Lucia, I didn't bring any money," Violeta says quietly to him.

"I'll pay!" Violeta looked at Noa from the side. "Three tickets."

The girls finally entered the nightclub. Lucia took her friend by the arm and hurried to a corner of the busy place. Noa felt relieved when he saw the bar and let out a sigh.

She pretends to walk towards it, but remembers that one person was dressed very seductively, so she needs to stay alert and watch her surroundings. She looks over at their group of friends.

They joined the group, which also included many boys. Violeta seemed fine, and he didn't think anything was unusual about her behavior. He goes to the bar, orders a drink, sits down, and stares at them.

His sister suddenly came with Violeta, acting like nothing had happened. That kid was very agile. She would make a good lawyer.

"No."

"What do you want?"

"We have to buy drinks. I didn't bring any money. Mom said to ask you for whatever I needed."

"Except for alcohol. Forget it, Lucia."

"No way! I'm old enough to drink. I can do it."

The two people look at each other, ready to take control. He didn't want his sister to get drunk, and he definitely didn't want her friend to get drunk.

"You guys don't know how to drink. Don't mess with me," he says, taking a sip of his drink and ignoring her.

"No, don't do this to me. I promise I won't bother you again," he says, looking at her out of the corner of his eye.

"Do you know who you're making a deal with?" He stares at her, and she turns pale.

"Yes."

"If I do you this favor, you'll owe me one."

Lucia looks at her friend, who just blinks and swallows. Then the blonde looks back at him and nods.

"Fine, ask for whatever you want," she says with a playful smile that makes Violeta uncomfortable. After they order, the girls walk away from the bar.

"Lucia, it looks like you made a bad deal. Haven't you realized that?"

"My brother is a lawyer, didn't I tell you? He's great at making good deals. This will be very difficult for me, but I'm his sister. How much can he ask of me?"

Violeta thinks about her friend's words, then watches her drink as if she does it often. Someone offers Violeta a drink, and at first she refuses, but she ends up accepting because Lucia begs her for her sake.

Noa just watches, smiles, and shakes her head.

"Those two..."

"I can't help but notice a very attractive man here at the bar by himself," the CEO says, looking over at a blonde woman with long legs who is smiling at him.

"I wonder the same thing," he says. He takes a sip of his drink, and so does the blonde. She smiles at him.

Violeta smiles while her friends keep telling stories. The young woman takes a sip of her drink and feels like she can't take it anymore and wants to vomit. She takes a deep breath and looks at her friend, who doesn't seem bothered at all.

She starts to breathe faster and looks away, but then she smiles sadly when she sees Lucia's brother talking with a girl who has blonde hair and is the same age as him. She frowns slightly, but it's barely noticeable. Why does she look like that?

At that moment, he turns around and sees her watching him. She quickly turns away, but as she does, she feels her stomach can't take it anymore.

She says sorry and walks through the group of boys to the bathroom. She enters the stall and vomits everything she had drunk.

"Eww, that drink is nasty," she says, still feeling sick, and throws up again. "Shit, I'm not doing this anymore." She wipes her lips with the back of her hand and flushes the toilet. When she opens the stall door, she stops when she sees Noah standing in front of her.

"I'm surprised by your vocabulary. I thought you were all quiet."

"This is the ladies' room." "Really?" It was the best thing she could think of to say.

"I know that..."

Violeta blinks and wakes up. She walks past him to wash her hands, feeling her heart beating very fast.

"I can see you can't drink any more. Do you want me to take you home?" She clenched her jaw.

"No, I want to stay. Besides, I haven't danced yet, and it's my friend's birthday, so I'm not going to leave her." Noa looked upset by her stubbornness.

"Dance? With whom? With that group of nerdy kids?"

She freezes. Did he think that of her? She tightens her lips and turns to face him. Maybe the alcohol was affecting her, but she wasn't going to let her best friend's brother take advantage of her.

"I'm going out right now and dancing with the first person I see."

She tries to do this, but Noa reacts and grabs her by the waist, pulling her body close to his. Their faces are close together, and they look into each other's eyes.

"You're not leaving."
