The Blind Heir
Lennard.
“I heard the zipper,” I told her when she asked how I knew she was changing.
But that was a lie because I had seen every curve of her sexy body.
I thought I was the luckiest man that day. You don’t see such an ethereal beauty in all her glory every day.
I’d fought hard to hide my body’s reaction after seeing those perky breasts on her chest and the perfect shaved mound between her thighs. That was an image that was never going to leave my mind.
“Let’s go,” she said.
As I prodded my useless stick in the ground while walking, I couldn’t help but wonder why any sane man would reject such a woman.
She was not only extremely beautiful, but also hot and kind. She had a very warm personality and was always looking out for others.
Even without a wolf, she had been worth everything and could have made a perfect Luna due to her good heart and quiet strength.
My half-brother had fumbled gold and I couldn’t wait for the day he realized that he chose the wrong one.
Good for me anyway. Pretending to be a blind student in my own pack clearly had its perks.
First I could get my revenge without anyone knowing and now I also had the hottest woman in the pack with me.
We got home surprisingly fast. Usually I had to walk so slow and weak to make my act look convincing. Because if anyone found out who I truly was, I’d be dead by morning.
Now that there was someone “guiding” me, I could move faster.
Willow frowned when we entered the apartment. “Not as messy as I expected.”
I smiled. There were two sweaters on the couch, two pillows on the wrong positions and the blanket which I’d left there after watching reading last night.
Willow looked at the book and her eyes narrowed. “You can read normal books?”
I shook my head and laughed nervously and scratched my head. “My friend was over here yesterday.” I said. “He actually slept in the room you’re taking. You’ll have to change the sheets.”
A lie. Jake had come over four days back and I was the one who read that book.
Willow went to pick up the book. “Nice read. I loved this one.”
My heart skipped a beat. If she loved that book, then she was truly the one for me. “What book is it?” I asked.
“Running From Them by Kaia Prince. Have you read it?”
I shook my head. “No. What’s it about?
I took a seat as she gave me a summary of the thriller. Willow spoke like a true book lover. From behind my dark glasses, I watched as she spoke.
Her pretty features moved so beautifully and the glow in her eyes was everything. Despite the hard life she lived, she was still so full of life.
I watched, mesmerized by how knowledgeable she was. Every minute that past made me believe she was the one. She was so intelligent and a book lover. We could spend nights reading and discussing books.
I became horny, just thinking about that. This was the downside of pretending to be blind. I had to watch the woman I liked and pretend I was not affected.
Unfortunately for me, this was the only way for me to pretend to be the real Lennard who was truly blind. It was known that one of the sons of alpha Jairus was blind. He was very generous to let me use his name and return to my pack. Once I got rid of the alpha and his stepmother, I’d go by my real name.
When Willow went to organize the room, I reached for the mind-link.
Lennard. Cole answered immediately as if he had been waiting for the call all his life.
“Vlad actually pulled it off,” I informed him
Vlad had caused the blood incident exactly we as planned. After I found out that alpha was planning to reject his mate and name her sister as the Luna, I had to make them pay.
I knew that if I told Willow, she would not believe me. That’s why I stood near her, hoping to be of help in case what I feared happened. I hadn’t counted on her falling over on me but that was great.
I expected Vlad to show his fangs. He was tired of living in the pack and wanted to leave with a bang.
“Did you hear about the assassins? I need you to find out who those assassins were and what they were looking for.”
“I’ll handle it.”
“Alright and thank Vlad for me.”
I severed the link and got up to go to my room.
“Do you need anything, willow?” I asked loudly.
“Not now. I found some clean sheets and towels.”
“Alright.”
I lay down on the couch and closed my eyes to get some rest but I couldn’t. I thought of that day again.
When I was twelve, my step mother sent me away under the pretense of protecting me from an assassination attempt. She said the people who killed my father wanted to kill me so she sent me away as a form of protection.
But it was a lie. She was handing me over to be killed just like my father. I remembered the knife entering my chest before I fell from the cliff into a freezing river.
Now, they thought I was dead but I was now more alive than ever. The man who found me raised me as his son and now I was pretending to be his son.
No one in this pack knew that I was I was their legitimate Alpha and rightful heir of the throne.
My half-brother had stolen the throne and now I was pretending to be a quiet, harmless exchange student. No one suspected me and I liked it that way.
The funniest thing was that now my brother’s rejected mate didn’t know she had just become part of my revenge.
A loud bang on the front door shook me off my thoughts. Sitting upright, I reached for a dagger hidden under the couch.
I could smell two wolves. Hiding the dagger under my coat, I went to open it.
