Chapter 5

Morning came, When Sophie woke up she was shock to find herself in unfamiliar room. She looked around and checked herself and she could feel that she’s still intact. She breath in relief ,now all she need to do is to leave the place and pretend she was just dreaming, but before she could even turned the doorknob , Someone spoke behind her that makes her almost jumped.

“ Finally you are awake.” It’s a man’s voice she could tell, she turned around and punched the man as hard as she could because of the thought that he might be a pervert or someone who had bad motives. Sophie could kill him if he dares try to do something. The man shouted and pushed her away making her more even surprised .

“ Is that how you say thank you to a person who tried his best to give you a comfortable place to sleep for a night and to save you from danger? “ the man asked with his eyebrows Mets each other.

“ Wh-What did y-you just said?” Sophie asked.

“ gosh. You are ill-mannered.” The guy uttered and but Sophie heard him. She raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms.

“ Do you know that what I’m doing is a self defense? It’s better to be called ill-mannered than to be sorry after being taken advantage.” Sophie defended herself.

“ you really think higher of yourself. Such an arrogant young woman.” He rolled his eyes and it hit Sophie’s confident.

“ Don’t worry, I’ll pay you with your effort. How much?” Sophie asked.

“ how much? How dare you asked me that. Get out of my sight.” The man blurted out and Sophie left the room. She went out and grabbed a taxi to go home. And when she arrived home, she knew her mom would interrogate her about last night.

“ SOPHIE! Why didn’t you go home last night? Where did you sleep?” Her mom asked curiously.

“ mom, well you please give me a little privacy? I can swear to you that I didn’t do anything that would put our family to shame.” Sophie said sincerely. And her mom sighed

“ I’m just so worried about you.” Her mom snarled at her.

“ I know mom. Sorry.” She said in a little voice and hugged her mom.

“ Next time, you have to call me “ her mom said

“ Okay mom. “

“ By the way dear, your aunt Meredith, said that her best friend’s son would come visit here in our place. And she told me already that she would try to match make your cousin Lily to him. “ Her mom gossiped.

“ so ? “

“. Well, I am planning to match make you too.” Her mom said shyly and then chuckled happily .

“ match what? You must be freaking kidding me. No mom. I’ll tell you. I don’t want to get involved in any male creatures right now. I’m too occupied of loving myself for now.” Sophie said and went to her room leaving her mom speechless.
