Chapter 10

She dialed her phone and called that cousin of her,

"Lily, goodness sake, you really give me some real trouble. “ Sophie growled.

“ Trouble why?”

“ You already know my mom and how desperate she is when it comes to finding me a boyfriend , and yet you leave your duty of being his guide in everything here, because he hadn’t familiar of the place, and second you do the trick of using your bratty side to throw him out here . now what?” Sophie gritted her teeth while talking.

“ So ,what’s so bad about that? I didn’t see anything wrong with that cousin. Why would you overreact? And remember you promised me.” Lily said cooly and Sophie breath heavilly.

Sophie thought for awhile.

‘What so bad about that ? , well the fact that the man downstairs is the same man who took me in his place when I am drunk is too embarrassing already. And second, my mom would enjoy the match making thingy without limit. And third , I am afraid of getting attached again.’

Sophie felt sad, she could still remember how She met Michael before. And it is because of her mom who keep on teasing and matchmaking them. She looked above the ceiling.

“. You are right. There’s nothing wrong with it in your point of view. But never mind. I will do your job “ Sophie said and sat down on the bed side.

PAST..

“ Honey dear, this is Michael Avinida ,he is a tennis player and a gym instructor.” Her mom once said.

And the innocent Sophie , twinkled her eyes the moment Michael smiled to her. Even though it was the sixth times that her mother brought a guy over to meet her.

“ Hi ,I’m Sophie.” Sophie introduced herself nicely and they shook hands, and she could feel the spark. And Michel smiled happily at her . The Two become happy together and even planned of marrying each other ,but for some reason, Sophie had to broke up with him. And that’s because she can’t afford to be cheated on.

““ here’s your Ring Michael! And marry yourself.” Sophie said dangerously calm while taking the ring out of her ring finger and throw it towards Michael. And it rolled down under the bed.

Michael knelt to say sorry but Sophie doesn’t care anymore. She slapped him hard before she run away from his place. The place where her fairytale dream has been broken.

Back to reality, Sophie wipe the tears in her face and decides to forgot that unfortunate happening of her life. When she’s out, she was surprised to see Andrew standing in front of her door.

“ Why are you here again?”

“ I’ve been calling you eight times, hadn’t you heard? “ Andrew asked. And Sophie gasped , she was too occupied that she didn’t hear anything.

“ So what now? “ Sophie asked

“ What now? Well, I want to go fishing ,can we?” Andrew asked and Sophie admits to herself that this one is better looking and way taller than Michael.

When it comes to fishing, Sophie take him to her Uncle Ben’s place , because that place is near the Lake and lot of fishes live there. and

Uncle Ben teaches Andrew how to properly put the worm as bait in the fishing rod and how to used it correctly. The two men went out for awhile to go fishing while Sophie were asked to cook rice for later.

The place is refreshing and Sophie’s mind and soul feel refreshed and enjoyed the beauty of the place. Big trees around encircling her uncle’s house and there’s a long wooden path that goes to the lake from his front yard where the two men currently sitting and do fishing And when the sun shines brightly ,only it’s rays go through the thick leaves of the trees. Making it not so hot during noon time.
