Chapter 18 Shocking the Entire Venue!

As the banquet began, Georgia felt extremely uncomfortable, as she was seated next to Tony instead of Kayden. Being next to Kayden could make her feel relaxed, whereas Tony just made her nervous and uneasy, because Tony was not the one she liked.

She looked around for Kayden and finally spotted him at the table by the door. After contemplating for a few seconds, she decided to go to him.

When she got to Kayden, she grabbed his arm and said, "Come with me!"

Moments later, she pulled Kayden to the table where old Mrs. Adams was seated. She pulled out a chair and said, "Sit here!"

"He cannot sit here!" Old Mrs. Adams suddenly bellowed at Georgia resolutely.

Georgia asked, "Why not? He is my husband and has the right to sit here."

"Because I said no. What is his status compared to ours? What right does he have to sit here?" Old Mrs. Adams slammed her hand on the table hard, standing up angrily.

Scarlett, seeing this, quickly stood up and said with disdain, "Georgia, what are you doing? Why did you bring this fool here on such a joyous occasion? Who invited him? What a buzzkill!"

"Sorry, Tony, we'll get rid of this fool right away!" She broke a smile at Tony.

Georgia was frustrated and said, "Grandma, no matter what, he is my husband arranged by Grandpa. He is a member of the Adams family after all! Fine, if you won't let him sit here, then I'll go sit in the back with him."

"Stop!" Old Mrs. Adams was furious. She snorted and scanned the entire hall, and then said, "From now on, he is no longer your husband! I hereby formally announce that Georgia and Kayden are to be divorced, and today, Georgia will be engaged to Mr. Tony Scott!"

"I won't!" Georgia quickly shook her head, saying, "You promised me that as long as I signed the contract, you wouldn't make me divorce Kayden. Now that I've signed the contract, why are you still making me divorce him?"

"You, signed it?" Old Mrs. Adams sneered coldly and said, "Do you think you could have signed that contract without Mr. Scott's help? In the end, it was due to Mr. Scott's help. So this marriage must end."

This old woman was stepping over the line, doing something this outrageous just for the benefit of her family.

Kayden clenched his fists. He wouldn't mind killing this old hag right then and there.

But just then, an unusual roaring sound came from outside, like something was flying over the Royal Hotel. It sounded a bit like helicopters.

The quiet hall suddenly became chaotic. And then, a man in his sixties ran in and said, "Mrs. Adams, there are eight military helicopters in the air, and about a hundred military vehicles in front of the hotel. They have cleared out everyone else in the hotel and specifically asked the Adams family members to stay."

These words were like a bombshell, leaving everyone stunned.

"What's going on?" Old Mrs. Adams asked with a trembling voice.

The old butler replied, "I don't know."

Some curious people couldn't help but head to the door. As soon as they got there, they were left breathless with fear at the sight in front of them.

Just then, the helicopters in the sky began to descend slowly, hovering ten meters above the ground.

The eight men stood in a row, their imposing presence like wild beasts.

After those words, all eight men knelt down together, shouting in unison, "Defender of the South, we implore your highness to return to duty!"

With their cry, the thousands of soldiers behind them raised their guns and shouted "Defender of the South" three times.

The shouts roared like the ocean, majestic and overwhelming.

And then complete silence reigned. You could hear a pin drop.

It was all so grand that no one there had ever experienced anything like it.

If it weren't so real, they would certainly think they were dreaming!

Just then, Greedy Wolf stepped forward, kneeling down on one knee, holding a damaged and rusted sword. He raised the broken sword high and shouted, "The Broken Sword is delivered. I, the Iron-faced Knight Greedy Wolf, sincerely request your highness to prioritize the greater good and wield the sword to save Seclela. The enemy at the border has sent 800,000 reinforcements to invade our land. If your highness does not retake command, the border will be lost to the enemy, with dire consequences to follow. "Please reconsider, Defender of the South!" The thousands of soldiers behind him shouted again with overwhelming force.

Greedy Wolf was an Iron-faced Knight from the Battlefield, a loyal servant of Kayden. Now, Greedy Wolf had worn his own iron mask to salute the Defender of the South. Therefore, the Adams family, who had met him before, did not recognize him.

Old Mrs. Adams looked around and asked nervously, "Who, who is the Defender of the South?"

"Isn't it obvious? They are clearly here looking for Tony! Besides Tony, who else here has such a status?" Scarlett said at once.
