Chapter 5 - Let Her Go
Maximillion Cesantio
I was pissed, I kept calling Rose but she just didn’t answer it. I threw my phone to my desk. What's wrong with her?
She already skinny and then she lose weight, I'm just find her weird acting like that. Her face was so pale and her blue eyes wasn’t as bright as before. I wondered what's wrong with her.
I saw her since she was 14 years old, she's cute. Her blonde hair always falls perfectly, her blue eyes always shines and her smile is just captivating. When I first saw her, my first thought was that she's beautiful and perfect but since we have a 4 years gap I find it weird to have a crush with a 14 years old girl when I'm 18.
As she grew up, she really turned into a really beautiful woman. Puberty did hit her hard and she got more perfect everyday. It's hard to resist her and she has this magnet pulling me towards her.
I don't know even though I have been with a lots of girls but she's the only one who can give this really weird sensation within me. Every time I’m with her, I was trying hard to tame the beast inside of me. We both know that we always be there for each other.
She never date someone else, I know she likes me but I’m not ready to settle down yet. I still love my bachelor life so much. When I heard she wants to settle down.. with someone else beside me, I know I won't let that happen. I know that, I won't let that happen.
She is mine.
From 11 years ago until now she's mine and no one can't get her besides me. I know that's selfish but I don't care.
I got back to reality because my phone rang, I looked at the caller ID. I'm waiting for his sister to call not him. I sighed but still picking up the call.
"What's up Luke?"
"Are you with Rose right now?" He asked suddenly and what the hell is he talking about? She's completely avoiding me.
"No."
"No? Okay!"
"Wait! Why are you asking me that? You can call her." I stated and I heard he sigh.
"She's not at home, she's not a- what?!" Someone called him.
"No, she's not with Max.. what?! S***!" He was talking to his mom and I started to get really curious.
"What happen?" I asked.
"Gotta go Max." He ended the call and suddenly my feeling felt something’s not right. I know there's something off here, I quickly went out from my office and drove towards Luke's house.
A few scenarios about Rose appeared inside my mine and it’s not good scenarios. I kept trying to focus myself on the road but my thoughts were everywhere. Where is she actually? It's 7 p.m and she hasn't get home yet? Where is she for the past 10 hours?
As I arrived at Luke's house, I saw Rose’s car and felt quite relieve because it means she’s okay. I parked my car beside Luke’s car. I walked inside and found Luke and his parents were talking at the living room.
"Hey Max." Luke said and I greeted his parents politely. They went out in a hurry and I looked at Luke with questioning eyes.
"What happen?"
"Rose is gone" He stated and again, I froze. I looked at him disbelief.
"What? Where?"
"We don't know, she left everything that can detect her whereabouts at her room. She wrote a letter to my parents saying that she can't marry Austin and decided to runaway for a few months but she didn't tell us where." Luke explained and my hand turned into a fist.
"We have to find her!"
"No.. She has been stressing about so many things Max. Let her go, she needs it." I felt guilty suddenly, I was one of the things that cause her stress. I know that really well.
"Good thing she won't marry that bastard."
"Don't go to her again Max, she had enough of you too and I'm sick seeing her crying again and again. You're my bestfriend and she's my sister. I have to pick her first so please don't go to her again, let her have a new life." I scoffed at him and he gave me a warning look.
"You know about my relationship with her right?" I asked.
"She loves you Max, for 11 years. I heard her crying almost every night and it hurted me. You hurt her too much and I had enough seeing her like that so please.. stop whatever you two have." Luke begged and I shook my head.
"I can't."
"If you like her.. be with her and stay. Don't even be with others." I sighed.
"We won't look for her and I hope you respect her decisions too Max, let her go. I even agree for her to marry Austin so she can be happy but I bet she has a lot of things on her mind right now." I looked at him disbelief.
"She's mine Luke.. since the day I looked at her, she's mine and it will never change." I said and he glared at me.
"She's not yours, you never claim her. Instead making her happy, you always make her sad and miserable. 11 years was enough Max, we all have limits and this is hers." Luke bursted angrily and threw a punch at me. I stumbled backwards because I didn't expect that coming.
"Stop Max.. I'm warning you!" He said and walked out from his house. I saw her phone and a letter on the table. I took it and read the letter. I threw the letter back after reading it.
"I have to find her." I hissed.
