Chapter 6
Willard placed a call immediately to Manuel," Come over here quick,"
In a jiffy, Manuel appeared, he had no idea why
his boss had called him with so much urgency.
"There is a lady that left here just now, did you see her while coming?" he asked Manuel.
Manuel was confused for a few seconds then he quickly sensed that the woman his boss may be talking about could be Sally.
"The woman with an almond-shaped blue eye?"
Manuel asked. "I didn't see her face, she seemed to engage in
an argument with Dally, I need to meet with her, "Willard said, hoping earnestly that Manuel would know the woman he was talking about.
Manuel sighed in relief after confirming that his boss was referring to Sally, "I know her."
"Find out where she lives, I need to meet with her," Willard ordered.
"Alright, sir," he gave a slight bow and walked away.
Dallie was watching the scenario, and she questioned in her mind why Willard suddenly got interested in her step-sister, he never even got to see her face but he was interested in knowing where she lived.
She was scared that the truth may be revealed if the duo connected, she must do everything possible to avoid them from meeting with each other.
Willard then walked close to Dallie," Who is that woman to you?"
"She's my step-sister. She used to be a prostitute many years ago but she got pregnant for one of her clients one of these days so she fled away from home," Dally answered, trying to paint Sally as a bad girl before Willard.
Willard only nodded and walked away from her. He wasn't a man that slept with prostitutes but what if the woman he had sex five years ago with was a prostitute?
Although Dally had lived in the same villa with him for the past five years, he couldn't bring himself to love her, not even her son. Might be because he was sceptical about Dally being the woman he slept with. Cause Dally never had the mark on her neck.
Manuel searched the environment but couldn't find Sally, how fast did this woman run and why would she disappear all of a sudden? wasn't she arguing with her step-sister a few minutes ago? When Manuel couldn't find Sally, he went to where Dally was.
"Madam, Sallie is your step-sister, right? Can you tell me where she lives?" he asked Dally, thinking that Dally should know where her sister lives.
"My sister is just a prostitute that sleeps in different men's houses, she has no house in particular, you can't find her," Dally said. She was angry that Willard and Manuel were determined to find Sally.
'How can a woman with a beautiful daughter
be a prostitute?' Manuel thought," Okay, madam."
He walked away from her and went to stay outside of the building, he was standing and other people might be thinking that he was supervising the security guarding the event but he was thinking of a way to find Sally.
At the airport, the woman suddenly disappeared and now, she had disappeared again. Was she scared of meeting with his boss? why was she always running away?
'I'll find you, Sally,' Manuel assured himself in his mind.
A few hours later, Willard was now home. He was tired but couldn't get the woman he saw at the event centre a few hours ago off his head. So far, Manuel had not given him feedback so he ordered for him to appear before him.
"Manuel, how long should I wait to get a response from you? can't you find her?" Willard asked.
"I'm working hard, sir but I haven't gotten a trace of her yet, I've described how she looks to our artiste and he has drawn her facial features, I've sent her facial diagram to all our security personnel in the state, as soon as they found someone that looks exactly like her, we will be informed," Manuel said.
Willard was disappointed that Manuel had not found the woman yet, "Work harder, Manuel," he dismissed him.
Sally arrived at the hotel and looked around first like someone may be trailing her before walking swiftly to her room. She saw Loretta sitting before her laptop, she seemed to be busy with it.
"Loretta," Sally called gleefully and expected her daughter to jump off the bed as usual and come to hug her but the girl was only staring at her.
Sally was not happy at her daughter's cold attitude so she went to sit on the bed where Loretta sat," Loretta, tell me what the problem is, you know mommy hates to see you sad."
Loretta stared blankly at Sally and adjusted in her sitting position, "I'm not sad, I'm only worried and curious, it's the reason why I've been before the laptop."
"You are still too young to be worried, let me take care of your worries, tell me what the matter is?" she asked.
"I'm finding a man that looks like me on the internet but I haven't found one, yet," she answered.
Sally was confused for a minute and before she could speak, Loretta added," Since you didn't provide a daddy for me, I'm searching for one already."
