Roselyn Bell

I woke up quite early the next morning. I was kind of confused and frightened that what will happen today. I decided that I will ask Adriet when will I go back home. I don't want to stay here forever. I went out of the room I saw Ross Will and Adriet on the kitchen table doing their work with papers and files scattered and two laptops in front of them. After deciding not to intrude them I started going back to my room when Will called me out.

"Roselyn, come we were just about to have breakfast," he said while keeping his laptop away.

"Umm..... oh...... okay" I didn't know what to say so I just walked to the table and sat on one of the stool. Just then the bell rang. Ross went and came back with a tray of food. We had our food in silence, in an awkward kind of silence. There was thick tension which I was feeling.

"Umm..... actually I wanted to ask when will I be going back home," I asked them breaking the silence.

"Till the time we make sure that those people are out of our way and that they won't harm you again," Will said.

"But how does that make a difference to you I mean won't I be safer at my apartment rather staying here. And why do you want those people anyway" I asked.

"Because they wanted something which is mine so I need them out of my way" it was Adriet this time.

"Okay?" I was surprised by his sudden outburst, "but for how long will I be here" I asked again.

"As soon as I make sure they won't come back" Adriet replied.

"But I guess there is nothing to make sure of, right? I mean now they can't have anything from me you guys already have the chip. Isn't it?" I asked to hope that they will finally let me go. I was feeling homesick. I wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

"We can't let you go Roselyn" Will said after a long silence, "those people might come back and maybe they will take you with them," he said. I wasn't sure how to react to that I mean I knew they were dealing with some very dangerous business but I can't really trust them I mean they were practically holding me hostage. I need to get off here.

"I don't get it. I mean how will it affect you guys if I would go missing I mean all you guys wanted was a chip from me right?" I asked tried to be rational but as soon as I said that Adriet banged his fist on the table. I flinched.

"Don't you get it already or is it way too much for you tiny brain to process Ms. Bell. There are people who were interfering in my business and I want them to stop if you want to go and die then you are most welcome to do that" with that he walked away leaving no room for argument.

"What does he thinks of himself bloody sonovabitch- wait why am I even telling you guys that I guess I need to confront him. He can't just throw his wrath at me and walk away" with that I stomped my foot and followed Adriet to his room.

"Listen to you, Mr. Adriet Rashkolnikov you are no one to yell at me like that. What do you think of yourself some king or something then let me tell you, you are no king and I don't get yelled at so don't ever do that" I am sure I might be looking like some maniac but I can't help it but I am really angry, "I had just asked a simple question that when will I be able to go back but you didn't even care. It might be fine with you but it's not fine with me I-I can't take it anymore. I need to go from here" my voice cracked at the end. I don't know a few minutes ago I was so angry and now I was feeling everything but angry.

"Roselyn. Listen it's not like I am holding you hostage or something I just need to make sure that everything is fine and let me handle it" he said while taking a step near me.

"Don't- just let me go please" I wanted him to say something but he didn't say anything, "fine" I walked out of the room. What does this person think of himself how can someone be so rude all the time?

"Kitty finish your breakfast first," Ross said.

"Eat it yourself," I said rudely to him and banged the door shut. I don't know how am I going to survive here all these people do is work I can't stand them anymore. I don't even have my phone with me. What am I supposed to do here?

"Is this how you take your anger off, on the food" Adriet came in without knocking. He sat beside me giving the plate it was my cheese sandwich.

"I am not hungry and just go away I am in no mood to argue with you again," I said while looking away from him.

"Fine" his voice was hoarse. He kept the plate aside and knelt in front of me.

"Look Bell I don't have a choice but to keep you here those people who stopped your car that night are definitely behind you and I don't think you want to die so soon now do you" he was talking to me as if I was a small kid and he was my father or something, "Try and understand my situation I don't want any innocent person to die because of me and definitely not you," he said while looking straight up to me. Although he was kneeling in front he was still the same height as me and that was really annoying.

"Fine," I said and took the plate from the side table. I started eating I was really very hungry. Adriet was giving me a really amused look.

"What," I asked him when my mouth was still half full.

"I hope you know that how much you try you are still that little kid who doesn't know what to do," he said with still that smirk on his face. He then stood up and sat beside me.

"Get ready we are going out," he said and walked out of the room.

Wait, what.

I quickly got dressed in my clothes. I didn't want to take clothes from that room. If it was his call girls dresses then definitely not. I then went out. I saw Adriet sitting on the couch typing on yin phone furiously. He was in semi-formal attire.

"Kitty why are you wearing the same dress I thought Adriet told you where you can find yourself some clothes," Ross said while entering the living room. He was also in a semi-formal mode wearing dark blue jeans a white shirt and beige coloured blazer.

"Oh yeah I know but I feel more comfortable in my own clothes," I said with a subtle smile, "anyway where are we going," I asked him.

"Adriet didn't tell you," he asked me, "well we are going out and of course you can buy whatever you want to survive here," he said with a smirk and walked out taking a water bottle with him.

"Come on Bell we are getting late" Adriet was now on his feet. I followed him out. I wasn't able to find Ross again he was not in the lift with us either.

"Adriet why are we going out," I asked him.

"You only said you were getting bored and now you are complaining Bell," he said with a chuckle. His tall figure was towering me. The elevator had quite a lot of space but still, I was feeling out of breath.

"I didn't say I was getting bored I just said I wanted to go back to my home but you are definitely not taking me there so what's the point" I shrugged to that.

"Right but you can surely keep yourself entertained. We are going to a mall so buy whatever you want and yes even clothes because I don't want you to wear those stinking clothes every day" with that he walked off the elevator. What a bastard. I went behind him. We were now at the entrance of the hotel there was the usual fleet of Adriet's car. I saw Ross casually leaning on one of the cars and Will. They were talking to some girl. She was wearing a flared dress. She had light brown hair which suited her complexion.

"Here they come," Ross said.

"Adriet! How have you been" the girl said in a sweet voice and hugged him, surprisingly Adriet hugged her back with a genuine smile, the one I had never seen.

"Oh and you must be Roselyn," she said while pulling back from Adriet, "I have heard a lot about you from Will," she said and hugged me.

Okay! My brain was in a complete mess. I wasn't able to think straight who was she and how does she know me.

"Oh silly me I am Emma," she said when she pulled back. I didn't know what to say so I just nodded and said the most stupid thing.

"You are kind of cute," I said and immediately regretted it. Is that what you say to someone you meet for the first time. She just giggled to that and said a thank you. It was kind of really very embarrassing. Everyone just chuckled to that even Adriet. Argh. Everyone got into the cars and again, unfortunately, Adriet and I were in the same car again.

"Is that what you say to someone you meet for the first time" he asked in a low husky voice with a chuckle.

"Obviously not, but I found her cute so I just babbled it," I said while avoiding his gaze. He just chuckled. Soon we were at the mall.

"Okay you guys go and shop we have some unfinished business," Ross said to Emma and me. The three of them then went away. Adriet looked at me for a brief moment it felt like he wanted to say something but restricted himself. He gave me a look which I wasn't able to understand was he, was he concerned about me? Ha in my wildest dreams. Then he turned and walked away.

"Okay now let's go," Emma said and then for next few hours we shopped I got many dresses some shoes, short, t-shirts etc. I also went to a book store and got some books so that they could help me with my boredom. We had already kept our bags in the car we were now sitting in a cafe.

"You are really fine Rosie," she said. In a few hours, she has given me a pet name I must really say that she was a really very social person. Adriet had called her and said that they need some more time.

"So you and Adriet are together," I asked her. She was drinking an orange juice on which she chocked. I helped her with some water.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Yes I am fine," she said while drinking some more water, "and for that question of yours, no Adriet and I are not in a relationship" she again drank some water to control her breath, "wait are you jealous," she asked.

"N-No why would I be," I said while taking a sip of my drink, "I was just curious I mean you are such a bubbly person and Adriet on the other side you know," I said while rolling my eyes.

"I don't think you should be so harsh with him he is really nice and by the way, it's me and Will," she said and winked at me. I sighed in relief. Wait, what.

Suddenly from nowhere firing started.

"Oh my god, Rosie duck down now" Emma yelled at me I immediately slide down the table. What was going on? Are they the se people who had stopped me that day? What do they want from me? I was trying to catch my breath when I realised that Emma wasn't with me. Where is she? I quickly tried to peep but I couldn't spot her I quickly returned to my previous position. I saw Emma sitting beside me but she had a gun with her this time.

"You have a gun" I was terrified. She looked so sweet and was loving by nature she can't even harm an ant then how come she has a gun with her.

"Don't worry it's for self-defence" she winked at me.

Self-defence really?

"You wait up here Adriet is coming," she said and then stood up.

"Where are you going," I asked her hurriedly.

"Don't worry I'll be back but don't move from here till Adriet comes?" she said and went away.
