Roselyn Bell

It has been almost a couple of weeks to Lila's accident. When I came that day back moma was terrified to see me and Lila like that. But she was thankful that Adriet had helped me. She was still oblivious to the fact that Adriet was my ex-employer other wise he wouldn't have been able to go without hearing an earful. I haven't been in touch with Adriet after that. Neither he called nor did I.

Now almost all my days were passing in making phone calls to decorators, caterer and basically arguing with them almost on everything. Andrew was proving to be a great help. He was going everywhere with me and moma to make the arrangements perfect. Invitation were already given out. Everything was going perfect, but one thing I was worried about was my other family. I don't know how my grandmother would react seeing me after so many years and of course my aunts and uncles and worst of all my bitchy cousins. I don't why they hate me so much. Anyways currently I was getting ready to go out to select a dress for me and Chloe as Chloe said she had no time left to go dress shopping so I just simply agreed with her. I wore my jeans and slipped into my over coat.

"Do you want me to accompany you" Andrew asked as I came down.

"Umm no it's okay and besides there needs to be someone at home to take care of Lila" I said. Moma had gone to the bakery to order the cake so there was no one at home.

"Sure but if you somehow get confused then do call me" he said as he lazily laid in the couch.

"Yeah sure" I said and wore my boots, "I'll see you bye" with that I went out. I already had a uber called so I quickly got in the taxi and went. I didn't know where to go so I just went to the nearby mall and decided to go to some place and buy something which is suitable.

I quickly paid the driver and went inside the cozy and warm mall. Everything was lighted and gave a really happy vibe and everything. I quickly saw a boutique and went inside it. The store was small but it had all high end and classy dresses.

"Hello ma'am how may I help" suddenly a girl of my age greeted me.

"Hi" I greeted her back. "Umm I was just looking something for me and my friend can you suggest something" I requested my sweetest tone.

"Sure ma'am" she started going through shelves of clothes, "May I know what's the occasion" she asked.

"It's my brother's wedding" I replied with a smile on my face.

"Oh congratulations" she said.

"Thank you" I replied.

"I think I found something for you" she said and gave me few dresses, "you can choose from these" she replied.

"Oh thank you" with that the lady left. There were number of dresses in my hand so I kept few of them on the couch and starred looking at the dresses. Suddenly my phone started ringing and I saw it was video call from Chloe. I quickly picked it up.

'So how is the shopping going' she asked while sipping he drink. It seemed like she was sitting in the cafeteria of her office.

'I just came here so I haven't decided on anything yet' I said as I looked at few dresses, 'Do you think we should match our outfits' I asked.

'I don't think so I mean it is your brother's wedding and it might look a little weird' she chuckled. Just then my eyes fell on a beautiful sea blue midi off shoulder dress.

'Chloe what do think about this' I asked.

'Wow that's gorgeous' she said.

'It would look perfect on you' I said while looking at the dress.

'No I thought it was for you' she said.

'It would look better on you' I replied, 'Do you like this' I asked.

'Yeah bu-'

'Then I am taking it for you and beside I will take something for me in yellow' I replied. I had a really weird obsession with yellow colour I don't know why but I was obsessed with it.

'No Rosie' she moaned, 'You can't you know yellow disturbs your grandma' she said in an over dramatic way.

'That's the second reason why I would be buying a yellow dress' I replied and started going through racks of clothes. I finally spotted a ankle length lacy yellow dress.

'Chloe how is this' I was almost jumping.

'Oh my god' she said.

'I know it's gorgeous' I replied.

'NO!!! The person behind you is gorgeous' she exclaimed.

'What' I turned around and saw the one person I didn't wanted to see every in my life.

"Seems like you are doing well with your shopping" he said in a husky voice. I saw two bodyguard behind him.

'Chloe I'll call later' I quickly hung up.

"Adriet what are you doing here" I asked while looking at his bodyguards. He understood my uncomfortability and gave a glance at them and gave them a look to go outside and wait.

"What are you doing here" I asked him.

"That's what I want to ask you" he clenched his jaw, "When I told you to stay at home then what are you doing here" he asked.

"Oh I am sorry mister buy I don't always do as I am asked to do" I said in my own sassy way and started to go from there but he stopped me and held my wrist.

"Bell I want you to go back right now" he said rather firmly.

"Leave my hand Adriet otherwise I will call the security" I threatened him.

"Do you really think I care about it" he whispered.

"Adriet why do you want me to go and hide in my house" I asked him. He had really started to annoy me now.

"Look Bell don't force me to send you back to New York, alright" he said in a dangerously low voice.

"Adriet" I yanked my hand out of his grip, "You can't force your decisions on me" I started to go away from there but he held my hand once again.

"Roselyn please don't test my patience as it is you are a lot of nuisance for me" he sighed.

"Fine" with that I left his sight and went locked in myself in a trial room. I quickly stripped and changed into the yellow dress. It looked beautiful without another thought I decided to buy it.

I went out of the room after changing my dress. I quickly paid for the two dresses and went outside the shop. It had started snowing again. I quickly called an uber. There was a little waiting so I just wandered around. But then something caught my eyes which shouldn't have. Just around the block there were two men who just dressed similar to that of Robert's men. My reflex would have been to run away but somehow for some stupid reason I decided to go near them. I could clearly hear them that they were talking in Russian for sure. Before I could step even a single step forward I pulled back.

"What the fu*k are you doing" Adriet whispered yelled at me.

"I was just going home" I replied trying to be all innocent.

"I saw you Roselyn" he said whilst clenching his jaw, "Come with me" he said and dragged me with him. We reached at the back side of the mall which was much more lone and scary. Suddenly a car pulled in front of us. The driver threw the keys at Adriet which he caught and then pushed me harshly in the passenger seat.

"You could have been more nicer" I said once we were out that area. Of course I didn't receive any answer for that, "What a day" I mumbled. I looked at Adriet who was intensely gazing at the road in front of him. His jaw was still clenched giving him a even more chiseled look. His clean shaved face looked perfect, his thick brown hair were in a mess which I had a urge to run my hands through.

"It's not very nice to stare at someone like that, Bell" he said with a smirk. I didn't know how long I gazed at him but then I looked away with a ghost of smile still playing on my lips. Adriet was out of my league. He was smart, handsome, intelligent and most of all rich. He could have anyone with him. A guy like him wouldn't even look at me. But that shouldn't have been my concern then why was it bothering me so much.

"We are here" he said as he pulled in front of my house.

"Yeah" I started to get out of the car when I realised how dense the fog had become, "Do you want to have dinner" I asked absent mindedly but soon realised, "Umm.... It's okay you must be having plans so just forget it" I said and got out the car. The must have been at least three feet. It was very difficult to walk. God knows how he drived the car here. I felt someone behind me.

"Adriet" I called out.

"Come on Roselyn I can hardly see anything. Of course I wouldn't be denying a dinner offer in this weather" he said and kept a hand on my shoulder to support himself. It somehow made me smile but I was grateful that the fog was dense otherwise he would have seen me. We reached the door and I rang the bell. Moment after the door opened revealing Andrew.

"Where have you been" he asked. "Mrs. Bell was so worried" we came inside and I hung my coat on the hook. I ignored Andrew's all questions.

"Andrew this is Adriet Rashnikov" I introduced them.

"Hello Mr. Rashnikov I am Andrew" he introduced himself.

"Feelings are alike Mr. Andrew" he said while eyeing him. I could feel the thick tension.

"Andrew, where's moma" I asked pulling him with me.

"Oh she's in the kitchen" he said, "Come Mr. Rashnikov" he invited him in. I knew there was something bothering him but he again wore his I-don't-care facade. I just rolled my eyes and motioned him to come inside.

"Moma" I called her out as soon as I entered the living room.

"Roselyn where have you been" she asked as she kept a bowl on the table, "Oh Adriet how come you are here" she asked with a smile.

"Moma he dropped me here so I offered him a dinner supper. Would that be fine" I asked.

"Oh of course of course make yourself at home" she said with a warm smile and went inside the kitchen.

"I'll just come" I said and went upstairs to keep my bags in my room. Lila was in my room from last couple of days. I quickly went and hugged her. I don't know but automatically tears started streaming down my cheek. I missed my old Lila. Now she's all gloomy and sad. She never gets excited after seeing me. She can't jump on me and knock me down. I am not going to leave those bastards. I thought to myself and wiped my tears away. I quickly changed my clothes and then went downstairs. I saw Moma was already seated with Andrew and Adriet around them. I knew my eyes were and nose were red but I really couldn't care less. Andrew and Moma knew whenever I go upstairs this happens. They have even stopped asking. And for Adriet I knew he wouldn't care. I just went and sat beside Andrew. We had our dinner in silence. I could feel someone's intense gaze on me and I knew who it was but I just ignored it.

"Adriet why don't you stay here tonight" Moma broke the silence, "It's snowing and I don't think it would be wise to drive at this hour" she said.

"No it's okay it's better if I get going" he said.

"Nonsense" she said, "You can stay at Lukas's room" she said and got up. I just shrugged at Adriet.

"Okay Roselyn I'll see you tomorrow then" Adnrew said and hugged me which took me off guards but I returned his hug. He then went out. It was just me and Adriet left.

"So you are staying" I asked.

"Would your mother let me go" he asked.

"I don't think so" I giggled, "Come" I took him upstairs. Lukas's room and mine were just opposite of each other. I opened the door.

"You can stay here tonight" I said. I looked at his clothes. I knew he a wouldn't be comfortable in his jeans and jacket. I went upto the closet and got hold of clean a t-shirt and a track pant.

"They would fit you" I replied. He just nodded and went inside the washroom to change. I left the room and slumped next to Lila on the floor. I hugged her and cried my heart out. I just couldn't find another way to end this day.
