Chapter Ten

TINA'S POV:

I answered the phone, seeing Boss B's name on the screen. "Tigress, I have a new job for you," he said, his voice serious. "Are you available?"

"Yes, I'm available," I replied, my mind fixed. "What's the job?" Boss B explained that a valuable Gold statue needed to be transported across the border. I listened carefully, my instincts telling me this job was risky.

"I'll do it," I said finally, my decision made. Boss B gave me the details, and we agreed to meet at the usual place at midnight. I hung up the phone, my heart beating faster. This job is dangerous, but the Tigress is ready for the challenge.

Arriving at the meeting point, my eyes scanning the area. Boss B was already there, his face grave. "Tigress, this job is risky," he warned. "Are you sure you're ready?" I nodded, my determination evident. "I was born ready," I said, a smile spreading across my face. "So, what's the plan?" I asked, my eyes locked on his. He explained that we would be transporting the statue saying it was highly sought after.

"We'll need to be careful," he warned, his voice serious. "There are those who will stop at nothing to get their hands on it." I nodded, my heart racing with anticipation. I knew that this job would be a challenge, but I was ready.

Boss B handed me a folder containing the details of the job. I scanned it quickly, my eyes taking in the information. We would need to cross the border, avoiding detection by the authorities. It was a risky move, but I was confident in my abilities.

"I've got it," I said finally, my mind made up. Boss B nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "I knew I could count on you, Tigress." With that, our meeting was over, and I was ready to get to work.

Boss B had warned me about the dangers, but I was confident in my abilities. I had crossed borders before, avoiding detection by the authorities. But this time, it was different. This time, we were transporting something valuable, something that could get us into a lot of trouble. As ithought about the job, What if we got caught? What if someone tried to steal the artifact from us? I pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand. I needed to be sharp, to be ready for anything.

I looked around the room, my eyes taking in the familiar surroundings. I had been in this situation before, but this time it felt different. This time, it felt personal. I was doing this for myself, not just for the money. Gathering my weapons, i checked my weapons and disguise. I knew that I had to be careful, that one mistake could mean trouble.

I checked my fake ID and papers, making sure everything was in order. I was ready to pose as a tourist, to blend in with the crowds. I practiced my accent, my mannerisms. I was ready to become someone else.

Finally, I was ready after packing my bag, I was ready to take on the job, to see it through to the end. I took a deep breath, my mind focused on the task ahead. Let's do this, I thought to myself.

We set out on our journey, our car driving through the night. I was focused on the road ahead, my mind on the task at hand. We had a long way to go, and I knew it wouldn't be easy.

As we drove, I thought about the team. We were a good group, each with our own strengths. There was Dan, our driver, Zulu our tech expert, and Sherry, our safe-cracker and medic. We worked well together, and I knew we could count on each other.

The hours passed slowly, the darkness outside giving way to light. We stopped for food and rest, our conversations brief and to the point. We knew what we had to do, and we were focused on getting it done.

As the sun rose higher in the sky, We were getting close to the border, our hearts beating faster. This was the moment of truth. We had to get across without being detected. I looked at the team, their faces set with determination.

We pulled up to the checkpoint, our papers ready. The guard looked us over, his eyes scanning our faces. I held my breath, my hand on my gun. This was it. This was the moment.

The guard nodded, waving us through. We breathed a sigh of relief, our tension easing. We had made it across. We drove on, our eyes scanning the road ahead. We knew we weren't safe yet.

We drove for hours, the landscape blurring together. We were getting close, I could feel it. Our destination was near. I leaned forward, my heart racing with excitement. We were almost there. Speeding down the highway, our cars racing through the desert. Suddenly, a black SUV appeared behind us, its engine roaring. My heart skipped a beat as I realized we were being pursued.

Dan noticed an gripped the wheel tightly, my eyes fixed on the road ahead. The SUV was gaining on us, its driver determined. He pushed our car to its limits, the speedometer climbing higher.

The desert blurred together as we sped along, the SUV hot on our heels. The SUV swerved, trying to pass us. I reacted quickly, blocking its move. Our cars touched, the sound of scraping metal filling the air. I gritted my teeth, my focus on Dan outrunning our pursuer.

We zigzagged through the streets, our cars weaving in and out of traffic. The SUV was still on our tail, its driver refusing to give up. I knew we had to think fast, come up with a new plan.

I spotted a narrow alleyway to our left and pointed it to Dan who made a split-second decision. He swerved into the alley, our car scraping against the walls. The SUV followed, but its larger size made it harder to maneuver.

We emerged from the alley, our car surging forward. The SUV was stuck, its tires screeching as it tried to free itself. We took advantage of the delay, putting as much distance between us as possible, they shot at us but we were far too gone.
