Chapter 2

-MYCA-

"So, Myca... how did you meet this brother?" Vann asked me while we were eating. He was smiling and I don't know why.

I looked at Vince who raised his eyebrows at me and seemed to be waiting for my answer.

"Uhm.. what's the matter... I blocked his car when I saw him. There were men chasing me. And luckily he took pity on me and helped me."

Vann's smile grew even bigger. I think it even turned into a smile.

I guess my decision to enter as an assistant was really wrong. The Big Brother, let it go... then this brother seems to have mental retardation.

Ugh. I mean I'm sorry, Lord.

"Ohhh.." he grinned and looked at Vince. "You're being helpful now, Big Brother."

Vince's eyebrows met.

"Shut up and just eat, Vann," he said irritably. Then he looked at me. "And you, eat quickly and we'll talk about your use in this house."

I frowned. Did he really have to be so rude! If he wasn't conceived out of spite! Hmm!

So we just continued eating. Except for Vann's occasional questions about me.

"Do you have a boyfriend, Myca?" he suddenly asked.

"Hmm. Nothing since birth."

"Really? Why? Are all your boys blind?" said Vann, smiling.

I was flattered by that. I feel beautiful. Haha

"Hmm. There are those who flirt. There's really nothing. I didn't fall in love with one of them. I want to be taken seriously when I enter into a relationship. I want whoever is my first love to be my last. . That's it."

I was startled when Vince suddenly stood up and walked out. I looked at Vann in wonder.

"What happened with her? Did I say something bad?"

Vann just smiled and shook his head. "He just has a heart problem."

Huh? Vince has heart disease?! That's why he's so rude. What he is going through is difficult.

"Has he seen a doctor? Is he taking any medicine? Does he feel anything now?" I guess I'm too concerned.

Vann looked at me. Then suddenly he laughed. As in the laughter.

"Just ask him," he said still laughing and continued eating. I did the same thing. Why should I insist on asking after all, we are not very close yet.

But at least now I know Vince's condition. I understand him better. And I need a long apology for his rudeness.

"Because when I enter into a relationship, I want it to be taken seriously. I want whoever is my first love to be my last."

I smiled bitterly. That was the same view I had then. Sugar and I's point of view. We were each other's firsts... in everything. First relationship. First kiss. First hug. First dance. Everything.

And it's sad that I'm not his last. I know it's my fault. I felt my tears fall again. Only the pain is still there.

I just want Sugar back. I just want us back. But it's not possible anymore. Guess why I'm so stupid.

I closed my eyes and just remembered the times when Sugar and I were still together. Because these were the only things left. Our memories together.

"Ahmm.. ahem.."

I opened my eyes and looked at the woman who disturbed me.

"What?!" I asked irritatedly. I don't know why but I'm really annoyed with this girl.

sHe frowned but suddenly she closed his eyes and seemed to whisper something. sHe looks funny.

"You said we were going to talk, didn't you?" she said calmly.

Yes it is. But I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone. I just want to be with Sugar even in my mind.

"Just tomorrow. Get some rest," then closed my eyes again.

A few minutes passed but I still didn't hear the door close. So I opened my eyes again.

And there she was hovering above me as if she wanted to hit me.

"What are you doing?"

sHe suddenly blushed and then just tapped me on the shoulder. And not just a pat. Loud clap.

"Ah-eh.. w-nothing. Just going to say goodnight. Alright.. nytnyt!" sHe said without a brake then she rushed out of the room.

I snickered. Crazy woman. Tomorrow I will trouble you.

I closed my eyes again and Sugar's face came to view...

The next day, I got up early to prepare breakfast for the siblings. Of course, I knew what I was getting into.

Maybe Vince will scold me later when he wakes up without breakfast. Become a monster in no time.

I cooked sinagag, tapa, hotdogs, eggs. I also made coffee. Yes, I know how to cook because I did almost everything to please my parents. They wanted me to become good at everything so I just did what I had to do.

I was humming while cooking when I heard someone speak from behind.

"Morning."

I turned around and saw a demigod. Charot! Vince in a white shirt and shorts above the knee, bed hair and all.

Because Vince mygod is really hot. Everything falls when it should fall. Haha

"Quit ogling me, Myca."

Son of a shark. It was good to hear my name from his red lips. Hmm.

I blushed at what he said because it was true. But it's not my fault that he's so charming in the morning. Just don't let him talk.

I took a bite and simply smiled.

"Good morning, Sir Vince. I've prepared-- ahem I cooked breakfast," I said with a smile. I have to remember that Vince must not realize that I come from a wealthy family. Or else I'll blow my cover.

He pulled the chair and seat down.

"Drop the Sir. Call me Vince," he simply said.

Hmmm... I guess he seems nice in the morning?

"Okay," I just said. I took the coffee I brewed and gave it to him.

"Thanks. Seat down and join me," he said.

"Huh?"

He just looked at me. Deep look. Hahaha

"I said join me to eat," he repeated.

"B-but... Sir Vann?"

"It will wake up later, so join me to eat. I don't want to eat alone."

Why is it that even though the wording seems ugly, the ex is still hot?

"O-okay," I just said and seat down.

Vince started eating while I was just looking at him... waiting for a reaction.

He must have noticed my stare so he looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

Very rude! Can't he tell me if the food I cooked is good or not???

"W-nothing. Hehe Eat well." I said sparingly.

What the heck. Eat well??? What servant says that to the boss??

I got some rice and a side dish and started eating. So awkward!

"Your cooking is good," he said later.

I looked at him again and was about to smile but...

"You are my helper," he added. And grinned.

Ahhh. Myca. Take your time. Take your time.

"Ahhh uhhh. Thank you, Sir. It's good that you liked it," I answered full of sarcasm.

He frowned, as if he didn't like what I said.

Oh no. It really sucks. It's stressful!

"I told you to drop the Sir and just call me Vince," he said looking at me intently. His gaze is so intense I can feel myself squirming... not in fear, but in excitement... ment?

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?!

I just nodded and bowed and continued eating.

God. My heart is racing! And I can feel myself blushing! What's up with this guy, seriously!

"Myca."

Damn it damn it damn it!! When did my name sound so good??

"P-what?"

I looked at the paper that he suddenly handed to me.

"Come with me to the mall later to get groceries."

Say what?

I read what was written on the paper. That's a shopping list! Wow! I think I just met a man who makes a grocery list and does the grocery shopping himself!

Ohhh not bad, Vince. You look arrogant and antipathetic but you seem to be a responsible man. No wonder their unit is neat and clean. Vince seems like a clean freak, not that I'm saying it's a bad thing. I actually find it... refreshing and nice.

"I don't have a carrier."

HA! I thought so. But anyway I entered it. I'm an assistant so it should be normal for me. It's just a matter of time.

"Okay, Vince," I said smiling as I looked at him.

He tasted it and looked away while standing up.

"Get some food and get ready," he said and then he left me.

Problem right? He even beat the girl in mens with his mood swings.

"Vince, how much beer is this? It's not on the list, is it?" Myca said as she followed me and pushed a cart.

I ignored her and looked for what I needed. Personal hygiene things, okay. Beer, okay.

I usually do groceries alone because I am particular about what I buy. I let Vann do it once and I won't let him do it again. sHe just didn't have enough to buy the whole supermarket with what she bought.

"Excuse me. It can be a kilo of chicken breast, then half a kilo of wings, then a kilo of pork."

I looked at Myca. I didn't put anything like that on the list. I was about to scold him when she looked at me and said..

"Vince, there's nothing to eat in your fridge. I never dreamed of serving beer, okay?" at the same time she put in the cart the meats of chicken and pork that she bought.

I couldn't even speak because she kept going to the vegetable and fruit aisle.

I just shook my head. A different kind of assistant.

I followed him as she picked fruits and vegetables.

"Hmm.. What else? Everything seems to be okay."

sHe turned to me.

"Okay, Vince. Are you done?" she asked me while looking at my cart. sHe grimaced.

"Looks like you're done. Let's get in line," she just said.

We were about to go to the cashier when dhe suddenly shouted.

"Ahh! That's right! Vince!"

I was a little surprised by his sudden call.

"Why?!"

"What.. I can.. uhmm. Loan first.. I'm just going to buy something important," sHe said bowing and then looked up, blushing a bit. Then she looked away.

"What is it?" I will ask.

sHe just sniffed at a part of the supermarket as if pointing at something. Ahhh. Rows of sanitary napkins.

I felt my ears get hot so I just nodded and nodded.

sHe ran towards it while I stood in line.

"Alright, let's buy it. Baby please? Just one?"

I looked at the person who spoke at the other counter.

The man had his back to me while holding something and seemed to be teasing a woman.

"Yuzon, can you? Gummy bears, seriously?! What are you kid? Give it back that!"

"But! Don't you want it too? You used up my stock! You even took it from bibi-uhmp!"

sHe pulled the man by the ear and pinched his mouth.

"Yes, you're a mess! Don't mess up!" the woman said angrily.

Suddenly the man gave the woman a light kiss on the lips.

"I love you," he said smiling. The woman blushed.

"Stupid!" His face pushed away at the same time. And the woman looked away.

I saw the faint smile on her lips. The smile that holds back the thrill. I know that smile very well.. Because I had the chance to see it before.

I felt the pain in my heart as I followed their figure as they walked away, the man was holding the woman's arm and the woman was hugging his waist.

Oh Sugar...

"Vince? Vince!!!"

I looked next to me and saw Myca just looking at me. I feel the hot water running down my cheeks.

I quickly gave him my wallet and hurried to leave.

Goddamn it. The pain is still there.
