As soon as I come in, I am captivated by the central staircase, it is impressive. Ezequiel chuckles lightly in front of my wide eyes. For him, it's a banality, but for me such a luxury is very far from my cabin in the woods and fortunately elsewhere... It's nice, but I prefer simpler places, big cold walls and empty spaces oppress me.

He begins to move forward. We take a right, then a left, then a left again, all this for several minutes. We manage to beat this ineffable building when we arrive in front of a large imposing door, the final boss.

Ezequiel decides to encourage me with a big smile, then he pushes the opening. We cross the threshold side by side, facing a dozen eyes directed towards me.

Everyone tries to remain unmoved, but for a sharp observer, many emotions are visible in their round marbles. They undress me with their gaze, fortunately I'm not shy and even less modest otherwise I would have blushed without a doubt. One of the people I don't know, surprisingly, scrutinizes me in particular, with great insistence. Does she want an autograph? I know I'm famous, but still, there are limits. The groupie comes to chair the table and speaks:

"Thank you for honoring us with your presence, we weren't expecting you anymore!"

- Oh, but you know, I'm a very popular woman. »

I respond in the same sarcastic tone. She glares at me closely accompanied by that of two wolves that I easily identify. I already know that these three will not be my friends. Until the Alpha of this pack wants to bother to come, I look at my future best friend. She is made up simply enough to show off her long, cascading blond hair perfectly. She is sublime. Her hair acts as a cascade of gold enhanced by two perfect diamonds. But in his blue eyes, I see only slyness and wickedness. She looks like one of those mermaids who guard the deep lakes. These creatures are sublime, but it is one of the worst species in this world. And just like the latter, I must be wary of her.

While continuing to stare at his two diamonds, I sit down on the chair that Ezequiel points out to me. He sits on my right and on my left, I have the right to a charming neighbor: Idys. Even if he looks exactly like his brother, his killer look leaves no room for doubt as to his identity. Everyone knows that he is much more bloodthirsty than his brother and that in this shock duo, he is clearly not the thinking head. Even if we can't praise his strategy, there is one point where all sensible people can agree: he is magnificent. He has very dark hair and an equally dark look, but his facial features give him an undeniable charm. The same goes for his brother.

With her beauty, I forget my fan. She's still standing like a lamppost, waiting, I don't know what. A light probably comes on in her brain, since she finally begins to speak:

“With the surprising appearance of Ténébris I will therefore have to explain again what I had started. »

I hesitate to make a reflection, but I finally decide not to make myself more noticed. She turns and looks at me now straight into my dark eyes:

“So Idys and Erad arrived the day before yesterday, in the evening, on time, she insists, but since you weren't there, we didn't start. »

It's funny, but, I feel like a touch of reproach. She takes back :

“Today is the first meeting we all have together. The latter only intended to explain a little more the current situation. »

She turns to everyone present:

“I am Abby Savin, daughter of the Northern Pack Alpha. Since the Alpha Supreme is not here for reasons that will be revealed to you when he returns, I am the one who replaces him, as I am the future wife of Arden Duncan. »

I look quickly at the wolves and the vampires and notice surprise on all of the faces, rather strange... No one knew they were getting married, it's weird. Normally, wolves in a pack are pretty tight-knit and don't hide this kind of information. What pack did I fall into? Abby resumes not without a delighted smile:

“Since the Alpha is not here, we will wait for his return to start making assumptions and hatching a plan. Before we leave, I want to talk about the latest information our pack has brought back. There was a new attack in the town of Sayronne a few days ago. The attack has been claimed and it is the dissidents who are behind it. There are many injuries and a few deaths. We know nothing of the motives for this attack. But we assume it was a targeted attack since only one house was found empty and ransacked. The neighbors do not know who was the inhabitant; this person is described as being very discreet and always wearing long clothes thus hiding all shapes. Think about it, we'll talk about it when my husband comes back. »

She concludes with a solemn tone. I want to take it back to "future husband" and not "husband", but I'm concentrating on feigning surprise. I knew this town was going to be attacked, but now I have to find out the motives. I go to rack my brains when I'm cut off by Brett; the second beta of the supreme pack. He whispers in my ear:

- "Follow me, I'll take you to your room."

I groan slightly and notice Brett destroying the slight smile that had just formed at the corner of his lips.

So we leave, leaving the other beings behind. I follow him while trying to remember the path we take. I am happy when we take the central staircase. We pass in a corridor and Brett stops in front of a door. I open it and go into my substitute room for several months, even years. Before leaving me, he said:

“Arden, Abby, Ezequiel and I are in another wing, while everyone else is a bit further. »

Without another word, he leaves. Not very funny the second beta. I'm clearly not going to complain... His blond head disappears around a bend and I head for my new bed. I was about to start thinking about this attack, but the silence is cut by awful screams...
