Two days later
Unfortunately, I'm already back and being in front of my cabin is the last thing I want.
Nor can I continually run away.
These five days have been long and short.
Longs of my daughter's absence.
Courts not wishing to see Camille again.
For the moment I can't do much, I cross the huge garden holding my travel bag firmly in hand and smile at the sound of Audrey's voice.
- Dad !! She exclaims, opening the door wide after seeing me through the window.
- My princess come here, oh what did I miss her!
I pick her up and take her for a long time in my arms, inhaling her childish scent of orange blossom.
- I thought you weren't going to come tonight, you were late and above all I'm hungry! she complains.
- What a little greedy! As you see dad is here!
Audrey still in my arms, I enter my home without enthusiasm.
I pass the silhouette of Camille who displays a warm smile when she sees me. Her body is wrapped in a comfortable cotton robe.
This same body that was fucking with another...
I tense as I see her approach, she presses her lips to mine and a chill of uncontrolled disgust runs through me.
- Good evening handsome dark man, she breathes followed by a caress on my neck.
- Finally you're here Azel, dinner is ready, Ellyn intervenes immediately when she enters the dining room, a dish that seems delicious in her hands; which allows me to distance myself from his sister.
Ellyn often spends Wednesdays in our house, my daughter constantly asks for her, it's almost worrying.
- Good evening Ellyn, I say hello.
She smiles broadly, places the steaming tray on the table and invites us to take a seat.
Should I specify that I have no appetite?
I focus on my daughter sitting on my lap and taking the bites she hands me swallowing hard despite the urge to spit it all out.
The two sisters gossip throughout the meal, a migraine points the tip of her nose and ordering them to shut up tempts me.
It's always a nightmare to have to put up with them when they're together.
Their loud, uncontrollable laughter catches my attention, I watch them out of the corner of my eye somewhat annoyed.
- Did you really dare? I would never have done it for you! I admire your courage so much! Surprised Ellyn laughing out loud.
- It had to be! I should have immortalized this moment! And above all Aurore allowed us to avoid the worst..
They have always been very accomplices and yet they are perfectly opposed both physically and mentally.
It must have been less than three years since Ellyn moved into her little apartment not far from our villa. When they have the opportunity to meet again, nothing exists around them. I have always admired the fusional relationship they have. Camille cares a lot for her little sister and.. .but how the hell did I just not think of that? The key to my revenge had been in front of me all this time, I couldn't find better!
Use his tender and only sister to destroy him..
- I'm not hungry anymore, whispers Audrey so that I'm the only one to hear her.
Her angelic voice brings me back to reality, it contrasts with the demons rejoicing in my mind.
- Alright me either, let's go to the bathroom to clean it all up.
...........
- Well, you're ready. Go to bed now, I tell my daughter after putting her pajamas on.
She climbs onto the bed and nods sleepily.
- But before that... there's your little surprise...
- Oh yes the surprise!! She claps her hands excitedly.
I show him a colored sachet that I had hidden under his bed and hand it to him.
She eagerly opens it and marvels when she finds a little squirrel plush in unicorn pajamas.
- Waaaouh I love it already! Oh and she is so sweet! Thank you dad !
She hugs her stuffed animal, throws herself into my arms to thank me and I kiss her rosy cheeks.
- We should find a name for him, she adds.
I help her lie down properly, she holds her new comforter firmly against her. I cover her little body with my blanket and she suppresses a yawn.
- You're right, but daddy's not good at finding it. Hmmm.. Rex what do you say?
- But no dad, it's not a dog, she protests weakly, yawning again. Ah I know...Eclair, he's like...my..chocolate..favorite..cake..laughed..she said weakly before joining Morpheus with Eclair in her arms.
Tender, I lean over to kiss her forehead and turn on her little night light.
I notice Ellyn in the doorway smiling as she sees my sleeping daughter.
- You're the only one to put him to sleep so quickly, she whispers amused.
I smile at him in response, get up quietly from the bed and we leave the room.
- I'll take you home, I said after closing the door.
- Oh no, I'm going to take a taxi. And you look exhausted after your trip, rest t..
- I insist. I don't mind you know, I cut it
- Good. Very well, she abdicates.
We head for the living room where Camille is sitting in front of the TV, she straightens up when she sees us.
- Are you leaving already?
- Yes, I have to wake up early. And then we'll see each other tomorrow I won't have time to miss you.
She approaches her sister, hugs her affectionately, for my part I prefer to wait outside not wanting to attend this scene any longer.
I get my car, wait impatiently for her to join me and I see her in the distance coming out of my house.
She puts on her jacket awkwardly, hurries her steps and ends up climbing into my car to settle in the passenger side.
The journey takes place in silence so it is natural that she turns on the radio and chooses music to her liking.
She fidgets in her seat to the rhythm of the sound which has the gift of annoying me somewhat. Above all, I need calm.
A few minutes later, I park in front of his building. She is about to open the door after thanking me but changes her mind to face me.
- Azel.. she starts and I tense in contact with her palm on my forearm.
- Something is wrong ? She continues.
I look at her for a moment, why this question? Does she see how crushed I am inside? That I feel lost like I've never been?
I get his hand that I wrap mine and caress him gently.
- It's okay, don't worry.
She stares briefly at our hands, I guess from her look that she seems perplexed.
I approach her then and place a kiss on her cheek, lingering there voluntarily.
"Good night Ellyn," I whisper in her ear.
She withdraws her hand from my grip, looks at me strangely and hastens to open the door.
- Good night, she lets go before getting out of my car.
I watch her rush to her building without looking back, a half-smile stretches my lips.
My revenge has just begun...
