Chapter Eight-Tangled Negotiations and Teasing Games

After I said what the next plan was, Jacob turned and looked me still smiling

"nothing, we strike a deal with the next company" he said looking so unbothered packing his files

"why are you looking so chill and unbothered like we didn't lose a deal" I said finding it difficult to understand his whole composure while I was losing my mind

"oh, shit, I just remembered. this is your first business deal meeting right?" he asked

"yeah, so?" I said, not seeing what relevance that question had in the discussion at hand

"Well, welcome to the world of business, Hazel," Jacob chuckled, his tone light despite the gravity of their situation. "You'll come to learn that setbacks are just part of the game. What matters is how we bounce back from them" he said looking at me "I didn't put all my hopes on this company to strike a deal, anything can happen just as we just saw, so I met a company that is really you rent just as a backup"

I literally had all my hopes up after Jacob told me about his decision to make me the manager at BLC. I already dreamed about all the changes I was going to make at the company after we signed the deal.

"Easy for you to say" I said still feeling disappointed

Jacob's smile softened and he paused in his packing and leaned back against the table

"I know it's tough, Hazel," he began, his tone gentle. "But trust me, in this business, it's rare for things to go exactly as planned. We

have to be adaptable, ready to pivot when necessary."

Hazel sighed, running a hand through her hair in frustration. "I guess I dreamed too much" I admitted, letting out a sad chuckle

Jacob shook his head, stepping closer to me. "Don't worry, everyone has massive dreams, this is just nothing more than an obstacle And as for BLC, we'll find another opportunity"

I met Jacob's gaze, finding a flicker of reassurance in his eyes. Despite my lingering disappointment, his unwavering confidence was a source of strength.

With a nod, Jacob returned to packing his files, his demeanor once again composed and focused.

"Okay, so what's the plan for finding this new opportunity?" Hazel asked, her voice more determined now.

Jacob glanced up from his files, a hint of admiration in his eyes. "First, we'll need to research potential companies that align with BLC's goals and values. Then, we'll strategize how to approach them and negotiate a deal that benefits both parties. I already found a company as a backup incase BLC didn't work out but we need to find more"

I nodded, feeling a surge of determination coursing through her veins. "Sounds like a plan. Let's get started."

We headed to our offices and dove into work, calling and writing emails to various companies looking for a company yo patner with

us. i must admit i was a bit selfish. i was doing this with the sole mindset of becoming a manager to which ever company agreed, but you can blame me, can you? a girl's got her dreams

After hours of searching, writing emails and making phone calls, i found five companies that were ready to patner with us. I quickly took the news to Jacob. I entered into his office without knocking of course and told him what i found and he also told me that he found three companies that wanted to partner with us.

He told me to write out emails to the various companies giving them time and dates for a business meeting to talk about the partnership. i spent the next hours writing emails to all the companies. At the end, I was so drained and stressed out

"Ok, you look like you just ran a marathon" Jacob said chuckling

I didn't even notice when he got there because I was so stressed

"Well, I just wrote over ten emails, so yeah " I said slightly annoyed

"Calm down tiger" Jacob said laughing "can I take you for lunch?" He said

"After the strenuous activity you just put me through, you shouldn't even be asking me that. You should tell me to come have lunch" I said standing up and packing my bag

" Well I'm paying you for all that strenuous activity" he said spanking my ass

"Jacobbb? We are out work" I said reminding him after someone almost saw us

"Well I don't care” he said spanking my ass again I smiled and we went out to our regular restaurant and I sat beside Jacob instead of across him, I decided to get Jacob back for all the teasing he had been doing lately

“Good day” the waiter greeted “what are you ordering today” I signaled to Jacob to order today and while he was making the order I slid my hand under the table and slowly grabbed his dick through his pants and rubbed it

“Uhmmm…. And add a turke… uhhh”

“Sir , are you okay? Do you need water or something” the waiter asked when Jacob started stuttering because of the pleasure he was

receiving I didn't stop stroking his dick and at some point he just stopped talking and just kept his head on the table. The waiter was so confused

“Babe are you okay?” I said, acting concerned and smiling enjoying what was happening to him and he looked at me menacingly I stopped stroking his dick and ordered food for the both of us and dismissed the waiter

“ I can swear that you absolutely really enjoyed what you did” he said smiling

“ Of course, I did. That's payback for the teasing you’ve been doing to me. And I haven't even started yet” I said so proud of myself I

smiled and got up from his side and sat across from him so he wouldn't get a chance to get back at me. He noticed my movement and smiled

“ A lot of scheming going on in that little naughty head. We'll see who gets the last laugh” he said I took that as a challenge and promised myself to get the last laugh

“ We’ll see about that” I said Our food arrived and the conversation quickly changed to business. We discussed about the companies I sent emails to.

After eating I told him I was going to pick Zion. Little did I know, that a surprising email notification would soon change the course of our business strategy, setting into motion a chain of events that neither I nor Jacob could have anticipated.
