CHAPTER 2

Querencia was forced to kneel on the floor by her father while two guards held her so that she could not move.

"Ha! Querencia! Do you know the shame you gave me?! You broke Marques Carton's hand! And you even approached the Archduke! do you really have no shame?!” he preached to him, and of course, so he couldn't answer, he covered his mouth.

"I'm running out of patience with you, Querencia." he grabbed her chin then squeezed it making her gasp in pain. "You approached the Crown prince because he is your fiance. He will help our family. We both have something to gain from this, so settle down. Don't turn your back on him like you did yesterday." He let go of his chin so that his head tilted.

Since he only held his arm, he raised both hands to it then showed the middle finger.

His father slapped him hard for what he did.

"You should be useful. don't forget that I put you in that position.” its threat. If others hear it, it seems like it's just giving instructions, but it's not. It has another meaning.

"Take it out." he ordered the guards and they obeyed.

he made him stand up then took the cover from his mouth. Before they pulled him away, he screamed which angered his father even more.

"Only sensible people will follow you! Gag*! HAHAHA!” he shouted and was accompanied by loud laughter.

the guards quickly took him out and pushed him out causing him to fall to the floor. Marina attended him quickly.

"I have already been called a doctor. Come young lady.” it supports him to stand.

"Hey. My leg hurts." he complained.

Marina sighed. "Why don't you want to obey the Baron's order?" it asked.

He smiled brightly. "I will beat him up, and if I marry the man he wants. I'm already pat*y." he said meaningfully.

Marina's face was sad. "Do you want me to run away from you?" it asked.

He turned to it. "Can you do it?" he challenged.

They are now in a house in a dense forest. Marina brought him here.

earlier she thought he was just joking and testing her. But he didn't expect her to believe it.

"I'm fine." he lied. The truth is that he wants to cry. It's painful. If someone offers him a hard cheek, he will definitely buy it. but there is nothing he can do.

"I already got some herbal medicines." Marina said then crushed them. "You will heal quickly with this, and it won't leave a scar either." it promised with a smile.

After Marina applied the medicine to her cheek. his reddened cheeks healed quickly so he looked at marina with great admiration.

Marina winced. He seemed hesitant to tell her. but because he was showing such a begging look, he spoke.

"Uhm... that's from the door we passed earlier." he said bowing down.

Querencia was stunned. Does the lake say many styles?

"The lake of the astils?" he asked to which Marina nodded.

That's why his wound healed easily. The astil are monsters that resemble orcs. They are big and when someone takes their plant they get angry. They can smell it no matter how far away.

"We are dead, Marina. let's run while there is still time." he stood up then pulled Marina. "We're leaving now."

"It's okay, young lady." he let go of her then took their bag. But there is no time. He could hear the footsteps of Astil— Astils. There are so many of them.

"Just take the money, Marina!" he shouted and he hurried.

After taking the money, they immediately got out and ran in one direction. They don't know where they will end up.

“KRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!”

He was startled when an astil screamed. Someone flew over a tree so he and Marina were fine.

“KRAAAAAAAAHHH!”

He suddenly felt an earthquake and was surprised to see the astil. His nose was puffing as he looked at her.

His hand rose to strike her but she immediately flinched.

“Miss!” shouted Marina who was far away.

He ran fast but it wasn't easy because there were a lot of tough plants blocking him.

“Miss!” Marina shouted again but she didn't have time to look back.

He just ran and ran.

He stopped for a moment when a large tree blocked his path. He had to climb it.

CHAPTER 2 CONT

He pulled up his pants and went upstairs.

“KRAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!”

He climbed quickly because the astil was near.

when he went up, it suddenly became dark and his shadow disappeared.

He turned his back. Astil's staff is raised and it will hit him.

“Miss!”

Without hesitation he jumped down from the tree. He was sure he would break a bone.

“AAAAAHHHHH!” Marina screamed shrill as Astil's rod hit the wood hard.

Because of the height he came from, he closed his eyes and waited for his fall.

He gasped suddenly as if someone caught him with a hard body. His arm wrapped around her waist. it is impossible that this is Marina because she is taller than Marina. It was like a man holding her.

"Bini—" Marina's call was interrupted because the man suddenly jumped with her.

"Aaaaaahhhh! Marina!!!!” Marina gradually shrinks from his sight.

Mom!!! why are they flying?! As far as he knew, the man just jumped!

He was shocked to see the body of Astil below. The man landed on her head and because of the speed of the events, she couldn't even look at his face.

“Ahhhhhh!!!!!!” he shouted as he jumped down again. He tugged at the man's hair out of fear. "Why did you jump?!" his grip tightened even more causing it to deflate.

In a few moments, his feet landed on the ground and he breathed a sigh of relief.

“Fuck it! let go of my hair!” the man yelled, causing him to startle and let go of it.

He looked at the man who gave him the experience of a roller coaster ride and he just stared.

"A-a-ar..." he couldn't speak because of the shock.

"You can come down." It was a strict promise so he acted quickly. He was about to go down but he suddenly remembered his plan. He needs to flirt with her.

He quickly hugged the Archduke and acted. "I-I'm dizzy, your majesty." he buried his face in her neck.

Shit! smells good! But why is it wearing so hard?

He suddenly yawned. It's tiring.

Even though the Archduke was dressed stiffly, he still rested his head on it and closed his eyes.

“YOUR EXCELLENCY—” a soldier stopped speaking when he saw them in that position.

Castriel sighed. "Get a carriage for the ladies." he ordered then turned to the other woman. "Are you her maid?" he asked.

He nodded then bowed. "I'm Marina, Lady Querencia's assistant." this is a polite introduction.

he turned to the woman hugging him.

So, she's the lady of Lynn. The woman who asked her without thinking.

"Uhm...urgh" Querencia groaned while sleeping that made him stop. It looks uncomfortable. he adjusted his lifting and even now he noticed that it was very light.

Is it because of his strength or is it really her weight?

"Sorry for the trouble, Your Highness." his assistant apologized to which he just nodded.

he wanted to ask him what he was doing in this place but he would save that for later. He will ask the Baron's son.

“Your excellency. This way.” the soldier promised him and he walked ahead.

"Follow me." he ordered the assistant and he immediately obeyed.

when they arrived at the carriage, he entered first and laid the woman down but suddenly she pulled him closer to her and without warning bit and sucked her neck.

He stiffened in his place and only then recovered from the shock when he let go of her.

“Steak! not yum—” his eyebrows met as he complained and fell asleep again.

He was stunned because of what he did. Did he think he was a steak?! And was told it was not good!

He felt his forehead.
