Chapter 6: Gaining Trust

Alora smiled while looking at the things she bought for them. Everything that they want is inside the bag already. The tuna which Isaac wanted is sure expensive but Alora didn't care at all. As she walking, something wet drop on her nose. She looked up at the sky and noticed it's raining.

"Ah shit. Why now?" She groanes and walks faster.

The rain becomes heavy and heavier. But she decides to walk since she was scared if she slipped and fall. "I have to hurr-"

HONK!!!

She flinched and looks behind. There's a black car stop aside the road. She just shrugs her shoulder and continues to walk. Suddenly-

"ALORA!!!" A voice that she hates makes her mood went down. Her heart tells her to run away from there but it will be rude of her. Even he already broke her heart, she just can't ignore him like a stranger. Even she wanted to do that.

"What are you doing here?" She asks with no emotion.

Matthew looks at her up and down, notice that she soaking in wet. She just wearing her office clothes. It must be cold. "Why are you walking in the rain? You can catch a cold, you know that right?"

"Why do you care?"

"I know we are nothing but can't you accept my talk?" Matthew asks. While covering her with an umbrella.

"Okay. Thank you for reminding me. Now, if you have nothing to say, can you excuse me now?" Alora asks politely. Before she walks away, he grabs her wrist. "What again?"

"I know you are sad and angry at me. But you don't have to suffer yourself like this." His words make Alora's blood boiling in anger. She scoffs and looks and her with a sarcastic look.

"You think I walking in this rain because I'm sad over you?" She can't believe he thinks like that which is not will happen in her life. "Now, let me ask you. Why I have wasted my time and my health on you? This type of thing, which is cheating, is part of life."

Matthew looks down, "I can't believe you. I thought you will protect our love. If you did it, our love relationship will not break." He said, more like blaming her.

"So, it was my fault? Are you serious? You blame me!?" Alora raises her voice. " Is that what you think?"

"No! It not what I mean-"

"Yes!! You mean it, Matthew!! You blame me for our breakup." She cuts him.

What she hopes for right now is, escape from this stupid drama.

"Okay. Let me tell you. This wouldn't happen if YOU didn't CHEAT on me. This wouldn't happen if YOU didn't START first!!" Alora pokes his chest more like pushing him. "This wouldn't happen if you didn't have a SEX with HER behind MY back. Everything will be okay if you didn't do that stupid move." She gritted her teeth.

"I know I'm wrong but everyone deserves a second chance!!" He insisted.

"Second chance!? I wouldn't give you. Besides, you already someone a husband, dude." Alora walks away but stops when she remembers something. She turns her back, " Oh. Please remember that. I cry or suffering myself for your loss, jerk."

With that, she walks away leaving Matthew behind. Alora didn't care whether she soaked in wet or not but as long as she was far from that guy, she was happy.

She opens the door and her presence catches four hybrids' attention. Alora gives them a sweet smile and closes the door. Jackson is the first one to move toward her.

"Alora, you are wet!! You must be cold!!" He said in concern.

"I'm fine. Here, uhh...Noah. I bought your carrots!!" She takes it out and shows it to him.

His ears perked. His doe eyes sparkling when saw it but he was too scared to move closer toward Alora. He hesitated to move and Alora know it. She smiles and hands it to Jackson.

"Isaac!! Your tuna and Damien your meat!!" She hands it all to Jackson so that he can pass it to them.

They are surprised that she means it when she wants to buy it. Especially Damien who has his haw drops. He didn't say anything but instead, Alora still buys him something.

They just eating quietly. Alora thought they were still scared and can't trust her yet. But, the scene where Matthew appeared just now makes her mood went down. She sighs heavily and hugging herself, prevent herself from being cold.

"I shouldn't meet you in the first place." She mumbles. Then, her phone ringing. She took it out, only to see Matthew calling her. Without wasting her time, she declined it and delete his phone number.

"You didn't answer it?" Isaac asks.

"It uh...someone who I don't like." Alora gives him a small smile.

"Tch. It's rude of you. How can we trust people who are rude like you?" Damien scoffs.

"Damien!! How can you say that!?" Jackson scolds him.

"It was okay, Jack." She stops him. "He's right. But...I can't help it since he's...the one who broke my heart." Alora said with a sad smile.

Her words make them silent. "I should go anyway."

"Wait!!' Noah who is a shy bunny yells. Alora looks at him with confusion.

"Uhh...y-your clothes are wet. It-It must be cold. B-Beside...you can...catch a cold." He shuttering, lower his gaze. Alora thought it cute of him.

"Thank you. But...I have to go. I can't stay here." Alora said.

"Why?" Jackson frowns.

"Because it's not my house." Alora jokes.

She opens the door and wanted to step outside. Before she did, Jackson says something.

"C-Can you come tomorrow?" He asks.

"Uhh...sure, I guess. Why?" Alora's soft yet gentle voice makes him safe trust him even more.

"Umm...We...We want to tell you something tomorrow." He answers.

Alora blinks her eyes and nods with smiles. She waving before get down on the ladder and close the door.

Next Day~

Yui showing her one more clothes. "How about this!?" She exclaims.

"I told you, for a billion times. It's pretty!!" Alex is groaning in annoyance.

"But...I look fat." She is pouting. She keeps saying the same thing and asks the same. the thing over and over again. It makes Alex tired.

Meanwhile, Alora sitting on the couch that is being prepared already there, watching them.

"Can I ask you guys something?" She catches the couple's attention. "How long we are going to stay at the same shop for about two and almost three hours?" Alora asks.

"Ask Yui!! Not me!!" Alex said.

"You keep answering me with the same answer!!" Yui scolds him.

"Because you keep asking the same question!!" He fights back.

Even they arguing almost every day, their love is still stronger.

Alora looks at her watch and it is almost afternoon. Jackson probably waiting for her.

"Oh, look who is here." A voice makes them stop their actions.

"Ugh.. this woman again." Alora mumbles.
