Chapter 6

Jace’s POV

There was something off about my brother and suddenly asking the Demon chief that kind of question, it did not add up, but that was actually the least of my problems, my problem is if what Nate said was right that he found his mate, that means I would find mine soon , just that the issue is I don’t want any part of that, I don’t want a mate, I already found myself a wife and I am not going to let this destroy me having total control of my life.

I headed to my house in my Porsche, I really really loved living the good life, and nothing more, I chuckled slightly knowing exactly what my brother would say if he sees this car, I don’t even know how we are identical twins, we are too different from each other.

He is conservative and I believe , if you gat it , you flunt it, I was the most eligible bachelor here in Hawaii for a reason because I bring in the fun and the party, I might not laugh or smile much, but these girls are not really interested in my smiles but money and my junk.

And this is perfect for me because my betroth has no issues with it, we don’t love each other, we are not mates , so I get to do whatever I like without any sentimental bullshit holding me down and claiming foul.

I got to my condo in half the time because I might have stepped on the gas, and also I was eager to get some, these few days has been very hectic for me, and I really need to unwind,it is days like this that I thank my stars for living separately from my brother.

Amidst all this crazy analogies, I loved my brother loads and I don’t want him to get himself killed over love and some so called mating bond, outrageous.

I opened the door to loud music already blasting, courtesy my omega and six girls scantily clad already waiting, I jumped into the shower to wash away the stress of the day , but then I heard the door bell, I remembered my omega telling me, he ordered food from the Bistro, so I assumed that was it but then things took a tough turn.

Jac my wolf started fighting me to get control over my body, I growled at him to keep him in check, and started sweating with the intensity of the struggle, I managed to get out of the bathroom that’s when the scent hit me strong, earthy and flowers , my feet started moving on it’s own accord, but then I slammed my body into a walk crashing it.

[ Damn it Jac you are my wolf and I am in control , down right now] I screamed at my wolf , who whimpered due to my Alpha voice and sat down on his silly butt, but that did not stop the mutt from saying

“ Mate”.

After that incidence the party could not continue, had to send the girls away because I knew the truth, my mate whoever she is came here today to deliver food for the bistro, and my wolf almost lost control, the same damn thing I have been fighting against in years but all it took was a whiff of her scent and my sanity went on leave.

This nonsense has to stop, I don’t want a mate, I am okay with my life why can’t you fucking leave me alone? I don’t want a mate. I yelled to the sky as I drank more scotch close to the fire place.

Meanwhile somehow Nate was informed of this new development, he was so happy that he came by the house just to gloat and laugh at me , the whole pack knew because those girls I was with told on me , although they also reported on how I slammed myself into something to avoid meeting or seeing her.

He felt so much pity for his brother but when he got to his house, it was a mess, he looked like a mess just because he found his mate.

“ why can’t that fucking moon get it that I don’t want a mate Nate? Is she supposed to force her on me now?, I don’t want a mate”

Nate nodded as he sat down close to him.

“ Have you thought about maybe this is the whole inevitability of our existence as wolfs?, what if you loose your mate , you loose your wolf?”

I looked at Nate in shock, I never thought of that, is that possible? But I don’t want to loose Jac but I don’t want a mate, can’t she make an exception?

“ But i don’t want a mate “ I really needed Nate to understand, he nodded .

“ But what if that is the scheme of things? What if you cannot run away from it? I have seen old wolfs who never got their mates live miserable lives, do you want that?” I kept quiet for a long time even after he was gone, I did not expect him to say less, he firmly believed In this mating thing, but I don’t and I would not change my believes.

Hell no , not going to happen,so I dusted myself off the floor and went inside to take a shower and prepare myself because , this is a fight I am not willing to loose, and if anyone was loosing this it would be fate.

I refuse to end up like my father and my mother I am not going to leave my children alone to suffer and just die because my wife had the audacity to be captured and killed , hell to the no, ain’t happening, it is either my way or my way, nothing is going to stop that from happening .

I called my Omega and asked for a new set of girls, I waited for them to show up extremely ready to lift my middle finger at fate.
