Chapter 5: Unexpected Pregnancy

Suddenly, the previously noisy crowd fell silent, automatically making way and standing in two rows.

Claire felt an overwhelming aura permeating the space. Unable to resist, she turned around to see who was exuding such a powerful presence.

Just then, her vision went black, her head spun, and the folder in her hand scattered to the ground as she fell forward.

Everyone watched in disbelief. Their minds echoed with one thought: Claire is doomed this time!

Bumping into the CEO in public? She’s definitely getting fired!

Miles was striding towards the meeting room when he suddenly saw a girl stumbling out of the crowd, clutching a pile of folders. The folders scattered everywhere as she fell towards him.

Instinctively, he wanted to step aside, but when he saw her face, he subconsciously stepped forward and caught her in his arms.

A collective gasp was heard around them. Everyone was stunned!

Oh my God, the CEO actually caught her?

Everyone knew their CEO avoided women. In the past, any woman who tried to use her looks to get close to him faced severe consequences without exception!

No one had ever succeeded in getting close to the CEO!

But today, the CEO personally caught this unremarkable employee?

Before Claire completely lost consciousness, she vaguely saw a breathtakingly handsome face.

How strange, why did that face look so much like the man she met a month ago...

Then she completely blacked out.

Miles looked down and saw that the woman in his arms had fainted.

His handsome brows furrowed slightly. Just as everyone braced themselves for the CEO's wrath, Miles picked Claire up in his arms and handed her to his assistant: "Since she’s an employee of the company, take her to the hospital."

The assistant took the unconscious Claire and left.

Miles looked at the scattered files on the ground, his brows tightly knit, looking ready to explode. A few people immediately rushed forward to pick up all the folders and clear the path. Only then did Miles leave without a glance back.

As soon as Miles left, the employees were left in shock.

"The CEO... doesn't he hate female employees getting close to him?" one female employee murmured. "Why wasn’t Claire fired?"

"I think I’m a bit jealous of Claire," another female employee said dreamily, staring at Miles’ retreating figure.

After completing a series of examinations on Claire, the doctor smiled at the assistant who brought her in: "Congratulations, you’re going to be a father!"

The assistant was stunned and took a moment to react!

This female employee is pregnant?

The CEO suddenly entrusted this woman to him, could it be that this child is actually the CEO’s? So the CEO’s sexual orientation is normal after all, and he no longer needs to worry about his own chastity.

While feeling relieved about his own safety, the assistant’s curiosity was piqued!

He dared not delay and hurried to deliver this good news to the CEO!

At that moment, Miles was negotiating business with a Korean conglomerate in the meeting room.

Just then, the assistant’s message arrived. Miles immediately apologized: "Excuse me, I need to check an important message."

The Korean representative nodded with a smile.

With a tap of his finger, Miles opened the message from his assistant: CEO, after examination, it’s confirmed that the female employee who fainted is pregnant.

Miles’ face changed dramatically upon reading this message!

How could this be?

Right, they didn’t take any precautions that day, and after that day, he never saw that woman again. He didn’t know if she took any contraceptives... but clearly not.

Miles’ expression turned very grim!

The Korean representative happily stood up and shook hands with Miles: "When Mr. Garza comes, he will bring his wife along. We hope Mr. Reeves will also bring your wife."
