I parked at her place and waited.

I smiled, waiting as I told her all black, sort of classy.

I groaned, tossing my head back when I saw her.

Today was gonna be a day.

She opened the door and sat.

Her brown curls were down her back, her blue eyes popping from her mascara.

« Ready ? » I asked.

« I feel like a dog. Following you around. » She muttered.

« Then be my puppy. » I pulled out of the complex and began driving.

I looked at her legs, the material hugging her thighs so securely that I was kinda jealous of them.

I pulled up to the barn and she froze.

« Where’s this ? » She asked me.

« A forbidden place people are held for… not nice things. You ready ? » I asked unbuckling myself.

« W-will I see someone die ? » She asked me.

« Oh my dear flower. I told you yesterday about this. I think I might be getting my date. » I kissed my teeth.

She frowned and got out of the car.

I checked for my gun and tucked it in my side.

« Is this fun for you ? » She asked as we walked inside.

« After about the first 20 people you become numb to other peoples pain. So I guess so yes. » I nodded and turned on the light.

Two men sat, their mouths gagged as I had asked.

« Come on Dahlia baby. » I grabbed and chair and sat I down.

« I have to watch ? » She asked.

« Yup. » I told her.

She sat herself down.

I went to her and cupped under her chin, pulling her face up to look at mine.

« I’m a bad man flower, but no one will ever bring you harm as long as you’re mine. My hands are only soft for you. Do you understand that ? Can you remember that ? » I asked and her eyes held a soft emotion. She was starting to trust me.

« I can yes. » She whispered, looking into my eyes.

I nodded and stood.

I pulled the gag from the first man’s mouth.

« Little love grab another chair for me please ? » I asked and she did as I said.

I sat down and rested my elbows on my legs.

« P-please sir I have a family to provide for I-I’m trying best I can to get your money b-but I need more time. » He cried.

I yawned.

« I don’t care. I tracked the money actually, you gambled. For three days straight. Don’t pull the family bullshit when I gave you five weeks to get this money. I gave you three, then two more. I was generous and you took my kindness like a greedy dick. Now. Where is my money ? » I asked.

« G-Gabriel ? » I heard.

« Yes ? » I kept my eyes on the man.

« Is that guy his friend ? I think he wants to say something. » She whispered softly from behind me.

I stood, shoving the gag back in his mouth.

I took the gag from the other dude.

« I-it’s at my place. I didn’t know it was for you, he told me to hide it and he’d e-explain everything later and now I’m here. I know who you are and I know the cops are on your side so I promise not a word. » He wasn’t lying.

« Where is it ? » I asked pulling out my phone.

« Apartment 377 D. Walk inside and behind the TV stand there is a large square hole. I think there is 25 of that 30k there. God I don’t care for him I just want to go home. » He told me.

I turned.

« Mind giving a hand flower ? » I asked her and she stood walking to me.

I handed her my phone calling Chase.

« Boss ? » He asked and I nodded to her.

« Apartment 377 A in my complex, behind the TV stand t-there is uhm a large hole and $25k sits in there. Gabriel would like you to get it and call when you’re done ? » She looked at me and I nodded.

I was internally proud and shocked she was willing.

My dick agreed.

She handed my phone back.

« He’s gonna call me back, if you aren’t lying, I will keep track of your whereabouts for a while but you’ll be free to go. » I said and he nodded.

« Keep me entertained though. » I pulled out his friends gag and I smiled as they began fighting.

« I’m gonna die because of you ! » Blah blah blah cry about it bitch.

I yawned, turning and pulling Dahlia’s chair beside me.

She sat there watching.

« This isn’t bad. Yet. » She squinted at me.

« This is the hard part. The killing is simple. If I chose to make it quick. » I smirked.

She frowned.

« Does my lifestyle scare you ? » I asked.

« Yes. » She nodded.

« How come ? » I asked.

« You seem… as if you can be angered easily. I’m scared for myself more than these people. » She pointed to them.

« Do you not trust what I said to you ? » I smiled.

« Not exactly. That’s on me. I know you’ve done well for how you seem you could be. I’m grateful I’m still breathing. But I’m scared I’m getting too comfortable. » She confessed.

« What can I do to help you trust me ? » I asked.

« I’m not sure. » She muttered.

« It’s okay. I’ll get your trust eventually. Falling is inevitable. Just let me catch you. » I looked back at the guy as my phone buzzed.

I handed it to her.

« Yes ? » She said.

« Is boss there ? » Chase asked.

« Yup. He handed me the phone. » She said.

« It’s done, we counted and it’s $26k. » He spoke.

« Thank you. » She hung up and handed me the phone.

I grabbed my knife from my belt and handed it to her.

« Untie the good one. » I said and she sighed, her breath unsteady.

She did as I asked and she then did his ankles as he stood.

He didn’t run yet.

« Zip. » I said.

« I promise M-Mr. Aldine. » He said and I motioned to the door as he ran out.

« And there was one. Flower ? » I said and she looked at me, handing my knife back.

I sat up and pointed to the floor.

« Sit. » I said and she did.

She sat between my legs and I grabbed her hair securely.

« It’s a loud sound, especially in here, if your ears ring it should go away. You’ll flinch, you might shout or scream. That’s why I brought you all the way out here. Understand ? » I asked and she nodded.

I bent down and kissed her forehead as she grabbed onto my pant leg.

« Ready ? Wanna plug your ears or cover your eyes or something ? » I asked.

« N-no. » She mumbled.

I grabbed my gun and cocked it.

I shot him directly in the eye and she flinched, gasping at the blood splatter from the other side of his head.

She turned and put her face against my thigh, covering her eyes.

I put my gun on the floor, emptying the clip from it.

I waited as I felt her tremble and shake.

I ran my hands along her back, her skin the softest I’d ever felt.

She didn’t seem to be crying though.

« You alright my flower ? » I asked quietly.

She nodded but I didn’t feel like she was telling me the truth.

I grabbed her arms and pulled her up onto my lap as her face fell onto my shoulder.

« What was it ? » I asked.

« My ears. T-the mess. » She stuttered and I called the clean up crew.

« I don’t know if you have a sensitive stomach so it might be dumb to ask but do you want to get food after you relax ? » I asked.

« I don’t know don’t you have one more person ? » She sat up slightly and looked at me.

I cupped her face and frowned.

« I do but you don’t have to-« 

« No I want to. I just have never heard a gun or seen an eyeball not be an eyeball anymore. Next time tell me where you aim ? » She asked and I froze.

« A-you’re kidding ? » I squinted.

« No. » She told me.

« I-uhm alright. » I stood and placed her on her feet.

She looked back and stepped away from me as she looked.

« Have you ever stabbed someone’s eye ? » She asked.

She was still shaking as she looked around the disfigured man.

« Yes. » I nodded.

« What’s stabbing someone like ? » She wondered.

I blinked, not knowing whether I should be concerned or happy.

« It’s like stabbing a block of styrofoam. More satisfying though. If you don’t feel bad. » I told her and she saw as the crew came in and she came to my side.

« Hm. » She seemed more curious than scared.

« You’re freaking me out. » I led her away from the barn.

« I’m freaking myself out too. It’s not as bad as I thought I think it was the initial shock. » She said and got in the car.

« Lunch or stop 2 ? » I asked.

« Uhmmm lunch. I am hungry. » I blinked, shaking my head slightly my heart thudding.
